The original Pilot episode before the show became a reality.
Law and Order was so unpolished back then, and the pilot was the most unpolished of them all, that's why it was so appealing. Hardly recognizable from the later seasons and SVU.
The first seasons were so gritty it felt so much better than the shows that are on today
Isn't Mrs. Halsey also the same actress who was in the pookie episode where her husband abused her and their son?
Old cabs, blue police uniforms, no cell phones, the bulky computer monitors, the gritty look of NYC, it takes me back to the days when New York was affordable and fun (as long as you were street smart.)
The last scene made me realize I could never be a District Attorney because I am no good at negotiations.
Sam Watterston was great in his role, but Michael Moriarty was amazing
WHY does Peacock only have Seasons 13-20? With the reboot starting soon, they really need to have ALL of the seasons!

It's the little things I find I miss from this time in Law & Order. I really miss the buzzer sound that lets them know they have a call.
It is so gritty and fast pace I am reminded of how NY used to be in my days as a boy.
