I've had a thought. If Digit is "a country gal with a big IQ" like she says in the intro, would a better premise for the show be that she regularly finds failed or incomplete projects her uncle has made and tries to fix them up herself with varying degrees of success?
+princess luna You question how they manage to have kids when they're kids but not how they can have kids when they're both girls, or the fact that one's a horse and the other's a lab grown human?
Now this show had a pretty good concept, but I think it would work better if Digit used the robots for her own advantage without permission, instead of the robots causing her problems. And yes I was bought here via MR enter, but he was right the idea of a country girl living with a high tech family and deals with robots is a great concept, but it was poorly executed.
Another way I could see this working is if Digit was an up and coming inventor in her own right, and both as a means of proving herself and as a means of helping her uncle prove he's no longer evil, she regularly finds failed, incomplete or damaged inventions from his villain days and tries to rework them so they work better or differently than they did initially. She's still learning, so she doesn't always succeed, but even when she does succeed, something ends up going sideways anyway.
This show has always baffled me. If they had extended the show to a full 22 minutes, it could’ve been a lot better. Making these shorts just didn’t work. I also do find it a bit funny that the only pilot from this series that got picked up aired on another network.
Digit = Equivilent of if Apple Bloom and Bubbles had a child. Noice. Also, this could be a good show, as this was the ONLY GOOD ONES in the SMS 'saga'.

Matthew 7:1 warns against selfish and foolish judgment. Besides, when you really think about it, the shows that spawn from What A Cartoon Show and Oh Yeah! Cartoons were really that successful.

Okay this is a great concept... but WOOOOOW this was a generic and boring story... my god... so much wasted potential... if a half way decent writer got his hands on this it could be... "smiles" fetch me my pencil... I have work to do!
Oh dear lord, the high-pitched southern accent, the overused Warner Bros. eyeblink sound effect, the kitschy Dexter's Lab look and feel. This thing is annoying on too many levels to count!

My favorite of all of them. I could see this one working if the voice acting was a bit better and the story was executed more fluently.
This short's animation is kinda similar to that one show from Nickelodeon called "The X's".
