    *Full Parts List/How I Trimmed Bumper Absorber to Fit Sedan bumper.*
    photos.app.goo.gl/oBUnEKxdRDq...
    I ordered several (smaller) parts online from:
    parts.lakelandtoyota.com
    FRONT BUMPER:
    I do recommend getting the OEM Bumper from a Local Dealer and grab a friend with a Truck that can fit the bumper, or you can fit it in your Corolla hatch (May have to flex a little to fit) I was able to fit the used Sedan bumper in my Corolla hatch
    Took awhile, but I finally have gathered all the parts to do the 2020+ Corolla Sedan SE Front bumper swap!
    Why do the swap?
    I personally fell in love with the redesigned front end for the 2020+ SE SEDAN Corolla. I thought the 2019+ Corolla Hatch was perfect as it was, until now. I just love the boxiness and more aggressive styling of this SEDAN SE bumper OVER the sleek and already perfect Hatchback front bumper.
    Resources?
    Since the car is still fairly new, and not alot of Hatch owners are even aware the bumper swap is possible, there are a very few that had been done, so I wanted to document my experience the best i could to help others decide if they are interested in doing the swap, they know what to expect and how much to spend
    What got me started?
    I wasnt planning on doing the bumper swap until around 2021 or 2022, but i came across a lightly used bumper off ebay for $250 that had little damage, but overall was already color matched Blizzard Pearl, so i had to jump on the deal! Once i got that bumper, thats where the research, trial and error began
    Whats the expected cost? (As of June 2021)
    Roughly between $1K- $1500 MAX.
    Most of the components you need can only be bought directly from the dealer. The main determining factor will be if you find a good deal on an already painted/color matched bumper, AND how much a shop will charge you for the paint/labor
    Tools needed to complete this SWAP:
    -Ratchet with 10mm socket
    -Pick tool
    -Any cutting tool to cut plastic (Dremel/Power tool)
    -Self Tapping screws
    -phillips head

    So probably unrelated question to this swap but I was wondering if a hood bra made for a Corolla sedan would still fit on a hatchback model too? Was there any differences between the hoods from the two models?

  • @Moroni_and_his_Messengers

    I just saw the two cars side by side yesterday at the dealership and thought that the bumper cover from the sedan might fit the hatchback. I also liked the rear spoiler that was on the hatchback in the dealership. Which I liked. I'm glad you have a video of the swap. I have fog lights on my hatchback already and found a kit for the sedan front. I actually like the look of the APEX edition of the sedan and am thinkin of using that for my hatch thought the wheelbase is longer on the sedan, so I'll have to take some measurements for the side ground effects before I commit to them.

      very nice! Im actually not sure if it will void warranty. Unless whatever breaks was directly related to you relocating the sensor. In my opinion as long as the original sensor is still plugged in and mounted to where the sensor would normally be, it wouldnt be an issue. But I am not 100% sure

    I love the video and the car looks great!! I was just curious about any warranty issues with the mods and swaps you’ve been doing to your corolla Hatchback. I just bought one new as my first new car and I want to start modding but I’m afraid I’m going to void a warranty.

    • @FujiboHeavy
      @FujiboHeavy  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you and congrats!!! As far as modding goes, do only things that you want to do! And if you're not sure, just check with your dealer for clarification. The warranty covers typically the engine and drivetrain, so as long as you are not tampering with engine (aftermarket tune) or transmission. I recommend sticking to mainly with aesthetic mods until your warranty is up! By the time warranty is up you can go all out! haha. But harmless mods (assuming they are installed correctly) are suspension mods, and changing out the muffler/catback system. Do not recommend messing with OEM header

    • @FujiboHeavy
      @FujiboHeavy  Před rokem

      Sorry to hear! So you have 2020 SE Hatchback with oem front bumper? Or SE Sedan? Either way, the bumper itself has several grooves and attachment points along the edge, (where the top bumper meets the bottom headlamps) that are designed to snap into the headlight brackets. So if you have areas where the bumper is popping out, check and make sure 1) Bumper mounting points not damaged 2) Headlight brackets have not been damaged (all tabs in place) But yea ultimately everything should just snap in and you should hear audible clicks. Do you have any photos so I can see?

      It’s super easy if you already fog lights installed. Did you want to wire them the same way I did? The driving LEDs were aftermarket switchbacks. Since you would be buying the kit with wiring , you won’t have to do any splicing like l did. I would have to see what your wiring kit looks like. But it’s mainly just 1) not connecting the wire that taps into your turn signals for switchback function. 2) if you want your LEDs to show only white when running, cut the yellow wire to each accent led. If you want the running leds to show only amber (like mine) cut the blue wire. So depending on which color wire you cut, you are disabling that color from showing
