No need to clarify, she/Israel shouldn't have been allowed to participate in the first place for the same reasons Russia wasn't allowed.
@@omaewamoushindeiru6581 indeed. I don't understand how we all care so much for ukraine (as we should!) but not for Palestine
watching the ESC since 1980 but this time the voting caught me by surprise - Sweden was so completely generic, vanilla, Eurodance 08/15 and not even among the top 10 best songs/staging. I get it that it did well in the Televote as it caters to majority of 'Hey please, nothing too complex or subtle'-masses but that it got so many points of self-dubbed 'Experts Juries' really is beyond me - but hey, to each it´s own ;)
The right artist won!! ❤
I'm glad Alessandra got so many televotes. She got railroaded by the juries. (though somewhat in their defense, she has had issues with her voice and didn't quite deliver her best). I would have preferred to see Finland win over Sweden this year. Nothing wrong with Loreen, but Tattoo is just a pale copy of Euphoria, and overly polished production. Takes the fun out of it for me. PS: Watching on Peacock here in the US and is it just me or is the audio mixing really poor for most artists??
I'm so happy Norway managed to get a top 5 result after that massive robbery by the juries, Ale deserved so much better!! 🇳🇴❤️
The juries robbed nobody. They individually voted for what they thought was the best. Relax.
@@alipanroosendaal9503 Sweden has always top 5 places by juries, even if songs are bland and boring and bad. They could send potatoe on the stage, they would get top 5 jury votes. Ofcourse it is robbed. Sweden has too much power in EBU and on Eurovision!
@@TheNellic07 Sweden are probably the country most committed to Eurovision, and to pop in general. Just look at how many Swedes write songs for other competing countries. However, they have won only 7 times in 50 years. If your claim held water, they would win much more often. Just accept the result with good grace. It is only a fun competition. Nobody died.
@@alipanroosendaal9503 No we do not need to accept the results in a good grace. Do you know why there is no jury in semi-final this year ? Because of rigged jury votes in 2022. If semi-finals can be rigged the finals can too.
@@alipanroosendaal9503 how much times they won after they claimed control in EBU and Eurovision from 2012. till 2023? one is to write songs, to help, the other is that you corrupt Eurovision and jury votes every year. I love how pure chaos this voting was😂 especially your reactions with Austria and Spain😅
I'm devastated for Blanca Paloma's result, she deserved a lot more than just 17th! 😭
I am as well!!! I CAN’T believe it

Unfair in all aspects, but it reflects that ethnic songs and too complex staging is out of first viewer voters’ liking and comprehension… very sad 😢
I have been saying it from the start, most people will see it as high pitch noises
Seldom seen such reaction in the crowd. Total dissappointment.
Can imagine how they would have exploded had Finland won.
I was in Birmingham city centre with a grand screening on the main square. Same reaction amongst everyone there. The disappointment was obvious!
Italyyyyy 4th🇮🇹🇮🇹,love to all the haters🥰
I’m not mad at all with Sweden winning! There were some weird moments in the votes though, like Spain and Austria getting so little, I was shocked.
Austria were first and also lackluster compared to their music video. Spain just isn't for everyone and was right before Loreen
@@mrmr4622 I never particularly liked Austria tbh, and agree that the live version lacked something compared to the music video. I absolutely loved Spain but yeah it was more niche and some people just found it annoying. But even then I expected a little more for both.
@@mrmr4622 Yeah, I didnt like Spain but I wonder what they were thinking placing Spain just before Loreen. That was a bit mean to be honest. It didnt matter to Loreen, but for Spain it was really bad.

Yes. really, really strange jury votes this year. there was some stranges in them.
I really enjoyed seeing her face when they announced the 174 points for Italy! She deserves it, so she learns not to be prejudiced by ballads
I was so disappointed :/
The voting was so off this year
Spain, Portugal, Serbia, AUSTRIA getting this little points from the public was so shocking
And why the hell was Germany last again? Just because it’s Germany?!?
Yes i agree. Many good songs dont get the points they deserve. Thats becouse the phone system only register the winner while the jury givs points to all 1 -12. In Sweden we have a App on the phone that you can give upp to five hearts too each one song you like and a computer sumerise it into points. In that way the point are more fair playd out fore the competition.
Well... all I have to say is: BRAVO MARCO!! BRAVO ITALIA! Well-deserved!
Also, congratulations to both Sweden and Finland too!

@@may51973 Not just 5 points to be honest…
I think people understood it,...they just didn't like it. I found it over dramatic and too literal. If you want to create a good ethnic-inspired song, you can't just copy the traditional style and add a few minimal techno beats in the background. You have to make it modern and relevant like Ukraine does. Blanca Paloma is a great singer, but as a Flamenco performer, she's waaay below average.
It's a girl screaming two vowels for three minutes, what's good about it?

Italy deserved more points from public. What is your taste of music?
175 is good, Spain and France deserved more points. Italy best composition award, the lyrics are a masterpiece
She's tasteless, but 174 it's still a lot of points!
I think what is really interesting is the differrence between the Semi Final results and the finals televotes results (if u erase the BIG 5+1). AUSTRALIA WON their semifinal (2nd in both) and AUSTRIA 2nd in their semi final (and 3. in both), but on the other hand Norway became 11. in both, Albania 16th (in Final 8th) and CROATIA become 17th in the semifinal, but 5th in the final
I think people who vote in the semifinals are eurovision fans who follow the contest months before the final. While the people who vote in the final are mostly people who watch just today and only hear each song once, and maybe don't even listen to them carefully
@@liul Yeah this might be one think, but I think a big point is, that a lot of people who liked Australia wanted Finland to win so they just voted for Finland.
And I think Albania got a lot "diaspora-votes"
And Austria had bad luck with their running order

Also for Finland and Israel.
Congrats Loreen :)
You know, being disappointed - I get that. Booing the winner? That's just childish.
And it's not like we don't know what the jurys are like. They reward the same type of songs every year so blaming the winner for playing to that is just insane. It would be great if the jurys were less "let's vote for great pop", but they're not. Käärija won the televote, I'm pretty sure he's happy with that and I'm also pretty sure he's NOT appreciative of people being shitty about Loreen winning. He just doesn't strike me as the type of guy to be a sore or petty loser. I would get the upset more if Loreen was much lower in the televote - but she was second. Get over it.
I'm more upset that Germany came in last.
You got a very solid point. Germany deserves a better outcome. I’m sure that Käärija is a bigger person than the fans voting for him.
I was so sure Germany would be in the top 10 this year! Got all the results wrong to be honest..
I don't think the boos got anything to do with Loreen herself. It's more about the fact that millions of votes and the people's opinion was basically invalidated. 180 jury members picked the winner and not the fans that all this is for.
@@TH3RIV Maybe, but doing that when she's just been announced and is on her way to perform again is still shitty.

because the public didn't feel it well, among other songs with more impressive choreography sets. in the end the ratings on spotify speak for themselves, 2nd in the world. and the prize for best composition: the lyrics of that song are a masterpiece, but they must be understood and then the piece can be fully appreciated. We got what we deserved: excellent qualification (4° place), prize for best composition (I see it like a victory himself), great views on spotify (removing scenery and choreography audience appreciates the song even without knowing its meaning, lyrics).

If someone was robbed big time it's not Finland - IT'S FRANCE FFS, WHAT WERE THE JURIES THINKING?!?!? LA ZARRA YOU'RE STILL OUR QUEEN ❤❤❤
No I hated the way she acted when she got her televote. Like a spoiled brat. It's bad sportsmanship, left a bad taste in my mouth for her performance
Much More than Finland, Spain was robbed, a freakin 5 points!!! What in the world????
Unfortunately her performance was rather poor. To win a song contest you need to sing WELL. pause.
Unfortunately for Zarra, she doesn't sing on pitch. From the amount of support she has online, I'm going to garner a guess that the average person just doesn't notice it, but yeah her pitch is really bad.
Also, she has no breathing technique, which is why she has that tremolo (fast vibrato) as she has too much subglottal pressure, and the reason her pitch is bad is because that pressure under her glottis is forcing her vocal chords to react to the forced air flow so they can't perform their proper function (her pitch).
Was explaining it to someone else and they said to me that she only recently recovered her voice - well, I can see why she lost it in the first place, and she's going to lose it again unless she corrects her technique. (no shade, just that I see her damaging her vocal health and it's cringeworthy to see).
During the jury show who is 1 day before she apparently was bad because of stress. But for the final she was good. Even the newspaper say that. So we don't know why she have a so low amount of vote from the public
YES! LOREEN!

No we do not need to accept it. Countries are paying to perform in Eurovision and that's the reason why some countries who can't afford it are not competing. Televotes are not free. Voters are paying for that too and if you think they will spend their hard earned money to vote just to get over-voted by jury they will not. That means less money for EBU. btw. I'm form ex communist country and know what democracy is. Spotify's role in this and future Eurovision's should be monitored closely. It's conveniently a Swedish company. She had over 55,000,000 plays on Spotify. Almost 3 times more than Finland. I don't need to look at other contestants numbers because they were much lower. That's something that should be monitored closely because it's quite easy to manipulate. Her CZcams numbers were not that much higher than Finland. btw. I'm working in the music industry and I know a thing or two about digital and how numbers can get manipulated. FYI For your info Finland was not my favorite but at the end when it was between Sweden and Finland I would prefer him to win. Sweden's song is bland and boring (it's not Euphoria which I liked). Only good thing is Loreen's vocal and there were quite a few great vocalists there. It didn't deserve to get almost the double jury votes then other countries. Also she is b....y annoying and fake. Everything about her is fake .... and I'm not talking about nails or her accent. 😂 We already have a big problem with "Big Five" that are paying they way to get into final while all the other countries need to go do semi-final. At the end most Big Five countries usually don't do that well. The countries that tried to rig the jury vote actually did better in the last 20 years than UK. Lastly I'll repeat. If it's that easy to rig / manipulate jury votes in semi-final it can be done final too. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but something smells pretty fishy here. Also from another deleted posts. I suggest everyone to check who members of the jury actually are. I did that for Croatia and Slovenia. Croatian one were the singer Albina and the guy who wrote the song that didn't even qualify, wannabe jazz singer who released one CD in 2011, shady guy who is pretty influential and connected to Ministry of Culture (he is lobbying and trying to change some authors rights laws here ... nothing like that exists in EU) and Damir Kedzo who tried to get to Eurovision and was fifth at Dora. Slovenian jury is even more pathetic. Drummer from a band whose music people don't even want to download for free. I doubt many people in Slovenia know who they are.
She believes she knows better than anyone! Marco's performance was perfection: vocals & passion.

Also, Sweden had low on the public votes in many countries while nearly half of them gave Finland full points. Every finnish person i chatted with said Loreen was underwhelming and too generic, so to me 0 points from Finland is not a huge surprise.
As for Germany, i agree. It was a good song, a bit less metal than other LOTL songs but still. Even in their case, public gave them more points than the jury(only 3 wtf man).
Australia being low on public votes was surprising. To me it was an excellent progressive metal song incorporating the keytar brilliantly, and the singer was simply amazing.
Then again, i predict loads of people that voted for Finland, would have voted for Germany/Australia if Finland wasnt there.
It's just sad that Finland was so hyped up sm (rightfully so I love that song sm) to the point where when Sweden won the vibe was not celebratory anymore - which is something I thought would've happen the other way around. Still happy that Sweden won and Finland came second! My favorite top 2.
As u can see Europe disagree with u about Italy. His performance is amazing
the rest of the world didnt gave a single point to Italy

FINLAND is the real winner

I won't remember Sweden winning for 2023. I'll remember cha cha cha.
I’m dead your face when they said Ukraines points 💀💀💀
Very disrespectful.
@@CoxaBranca it's not disrespectful. Ukraine were deserved winners last year. This year, their song was incredibly boring and generic and deserved nowhere near that many points
@@TheWonderwallLopes Which part of a song inspired by the incredible defense of the steel plant is boring and not unique. Seems a big issue with people disliking so far is not understanding them. Same argument has been used to say Due Vite was just another boring ballad, and see how well it did. What the public thought was boring and generic was Poe Poe Poe...
It's absurd you don't win with the biggest televote points in history (after Ukraine 2022 which the war affected a lot). Finland got 12 televote points from 18 countries and Sweden from 0. Yes, not a single country voted for the Sweden the most. That's crazy but not party :(
QUALITY WON OVER A FORTNITE SONG!!!!
AND I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THAT
If people LOVE Finland then supports his music ..
I called it : Finland would win the televote but not the Jury .. and Sweden would win the Jury but good enough points from the televote to win ..
And every song that was before Sweden and Finland got the low scores so .. Are we that surprised?
And please , are we really that surprised about Spain? I said when she won Benidorm that she could get 0 points from the public so .. I guess I was very close ..
Yeah, it was quite predictable. We have to accept that Eurovision is a mix of jury and audience votes and thank God for that. Otherwise Blanca Paloma would end up last and Blanka "Bejba" or Croatia would be in top 10. Loreen deserved winning as she had a whole package with outstanding vocals and staging. Käärija was great too but his vocals are nowhere close to Loreen's.
What do you think about Spain???
I personally didn't understand all the hype about Spain. Her singing was very annoying to general public like me and getting so few points was expected. I geniunely don't get why half the songs hyped in Eurovision aren't considered boring or garbage. Sweden, Spain, Austria, France, Czechia, etc.
@@Luka-st4uf woooo because of your ignorance I see that you do not understand ethnic songs, folklore and art
I knew perfectly well that the song was not a winner but you have to take a risk and that all of Europe liked it from what they could see
@@bertasanchez7531 I liked Albania and Moldova, both of those ethnic/folk with good sound. Czechia ethnic chorus was brilliant but them combining english with it and trying to rap was cringe.

If I were you I'd contact a specialist if you can't connect with your own emotions while listening to a song like the one of Marco Mengoni. Fortunately there is still some good taste and music culture in Europe 🤣🤣🤣

I think that EBU has to re-evaluate the current jury format. Eurovision is dependent on voting money and people will not vote when their voice is not heard.
The jury is there to control people simply voting for the meme songs such as Cha cha cha, Verka, Moldova's sax guy, Slovenia's Sestre and so on. What's the point of a song competition if people who only do it for the memes end up winning especially when they don't actually require good vocals in their songs?
@@OrcaWhale00 Cha Cha Cha is not by any means a meme song. It has a Finnish cultural standpoint and nevertheless brings people together in a way that sums up what Eurovision is all about. What is the point of ”unity” if the contest is defined by the opinions of 180 random people?
@@OrcaWhale00 There are different competitions for technical talent and perfection, while Eurovision hasn’t been about that for a long time.
@@alinaaarnio673 It's a complete meme song. It's about drinking pina coladas on the weekend with a random cha cha cha dance thrown in the middle and repeated many, many times. Loreen was also the 2nd in the televotes and has twice as many listens on Tattoo on Spotify than Cha cha cha. I love Finland because it's fun and unique, but ESC is a singing competition and I think it's clear that Loreen's vocals, lyrics and ambience belong to a SINGING competition more than repeating words to get the crowd riled up.
@@OrcaWhale00 ESC is not a singing competion, it’s a SONG competition. People chose this song with the second biggest landslide ever after Ukraine last year. Käärijä himself has said that the song is a social commentary on how people, especially Finns, need alcohol to loosen up. Europe has seen enough darkness and dramatics and wanted something light and DIFFERENT to win. Tattoo is just a Euphoria remake and represents the fact that Eurovision is unable to move forward as a contest.
Yes, most of us wanted something new... Käärijä in my 💚
If Estonia got a lot Noosh would have been upset? What right a reactor has to get upset at an act getting a high televote score?
I’m curious how people felt about Larazza’s not so hidden middle finger thrown at the tv screen when she got her points. I understand her frustration but don’t like her lack of sportsmanship.
In my case, I loved it. I do not consider it as a haughty attitude, but as a simple "fuck you, Europe, you ain't got taste". I'm tired of these mainstream, pop, English and non-unique songs winning Eurovision. Since I started watching this contest in 2014, I have not felt such joy as when Portugal won, and that is, precisely, what Eurovision should be all about. But this year I felt utterly disgusted; France, Portugal and Spain have been badly wronged. La Zarra represents us. Plus, she did it with elegance.
she not throwing f**k you to audience what she was meant is "whatever" / "so be it" gesture like she always do in their own home
Loved it, this year was absolute shit.
I'M STILL SHAKING AND CRYING, YAAAAS LOREEN YOU MADE IT HONEY 😭😭🥺🥺 SO HAPPY FOR 🇸🇪
THIS WAS SUCH A NERVE-WRACKING VOTING
She already won it once, such a robbery from the other coutries who had the change and deserved to win, especially when the Jury were on her side!
Here in Spain we were joking about winning but it was just a joke, but seriously we were expecting her in the top 10. Apart from the results we are very proud of her but I`m afraid next year we are sending some commercial latin song.

@@xixixi5532 it could be but idk singers with already a career usually don't like to go to Eurovision bc we are always in the last positions ksnaka
@@Taiki97at least you will send a real song, not just an ambulance screaming two vowels for three minutes 😂😂😂😂😂
It is still a SONG contest. Yes, there is other music, but, the singing part is a bit important. We still have to value singing talent. That's why Loreen won. She is clearly the best singer and has an OK song with GREAT staging. Well it was GREAT before in Melodifestivalen etc etc. Thank you!
Preach it louder for the kids at the back! The Finnish entry proves why we have juries.
Its actually more a contest about the best song originally. To me Finland had by far the most interesting song. Loreen's I got tired of after a few times hearing it, while Käärijas I never seem to get tired of. The people should get more power than the juries in this. Maybe 2/3 people, 1/3 jury would be more fair?
@@whatsup9992 So a song that has the word 'cha' 81 times in it is more original than every other entry, let alone 'Tattoo'?
_"That's why Loreen won. "_
She won because of the Jury. Nothing more, nothing less. While she certainly is way better at singing than Kaaria, Eurovision contest to my knowledge, is not supposed to be a yet another X factor or Idols where the judges / jury would make sense, since they are looking for talents.
@@jon.callaghan4165 _"The Finnish entry proves why we have juries."_
We have other programs for actual talent hunting. It's morally and ethically questionable to let less than 100 people's opinions weight more than millions, who also have to pay to vote.
What a fucking contrary outcome from all of those predictions. 😂
