This was the best game trailer I've seen in a very long time.

Absolutely love it. Marcus getting thrashed by this monster, that caught humanity by surprise. Pinned against a freaking ceiling, and ended up winning anyway. What a hero

Gears always had top tier trailers, still remember the very first trailer being on TV.

Never had a game make me cry until gears 2 gears 3 maria death tai death and doms death bens death Anthony was unexpected in the first game but but to have a trailer that played my heart strings they snapped the moment dom and mad world started playing never been this emotional over a trailer I hope the gameplay does it justice
I tried to hold back my tears I swear I could hear my heart strings twang and snap the pain in the chest trying to hold back from choking on my tears never had a trailer cause me to breakdown abs to see many fans struggling to not cry I bet they all left the reveal crying and hugging there gear bros

I rarely get super hyped for games now, but this one just hits the nail on the head. Cant wait to play! I am ready to return the dark and gritty roots of the series.

I haven't played a Gears game since the 360 days and this trailer still has me hyped almost as much as Alan Wake 2. Never realized how much I missed the Gears...
that was the first time marcus fought a locust which is why he was struggling.

Marcus looks scared tho you can see the sigh of relief after fucking blowing the locust drones head off after nearly dying then but then could of fell to his death but dom save him the relief of seeing his brother the little relief smile
And not only that, but it also shows how strong they really are, and how easy it was for them to slaughter humanity.

That was so crazy to see. We're used to him being a mindless killing machine. To see him struggle so hard, against a regular Drone no less, really shows how terrifying the Locust were and how hopeless the war seemed
i love that i wasnt the only one to immediately notice it was gears in the first 2 seconds

A real gamer girl and no jokes
The dead giveaway for me even before the title card was the mostly intact city. The second I saw that, I knew it had to be Emergence Day. Finally, we get to see how the Locust War began on Sera.

Love watching gears players react. Love hearing what they pick up during trailer.
Ive seen about 40 of these reaction videos and you are the ONLY person to recognize that was a locust drone.
That's sad especially if you're talking bout supposed gears fans...but I'm not surprised I seen some big youtubers that swear they're gears fans and they couldn't even tell that was marcus and dom as well 😂😂

@@Eyeyamgod They're being a little devious about it though. That's why they show Marcus putting on his bandana in the end so clearly. I was like is it James? But as soon as the close up with the hand stomp and the scream I knew it was young Fenix. I think the brain tricks you when you are sure it's gonna be Gears 6. But oh man was I happy about this!
And Yeah seen some awful reaction videos with no emotions pretending interest. And whole panels of chums sitting there like living question marks not reacting to mad world or Dom.

I felt this reaction in my soul. Every Gears of War fan knows what you were feeling during this trailer. So, so, SO hyped for this game.
At 1.51 we were all punching our tears back into our eye sockets dom 😢 😢 😭
Seeing Marcus and Dom again...just made me smile.

I like how the lighting is like the first Gears of War. Hopefully it’s like that in the actual game.
Yes very gritty
Its E-Day, so the game should be very dark, both literally and figuratively. The Locust literally inked the skies so colossal kryll swarms could consume entire cities during the day. And its the day that a quarter of humanity was exterminated. Dark and gritty indeed.
I hope there is some backstory with Carlos Santiago.
When after years a character re-appears and you suddenly start crying. I did too, because I was 16 when the first game came out and I'm still in love with GoW. Everytime a (kinda) meaningful character died, esepcially someone who is connected to Marcus, I felt that pain too. And it's crazy to think about it that this game is all about slaughter some freaking monsters as if it was Doom, yet the story and characters make this slaughterhouse such a great masterpiece and I'm always riding an emotional rollercoaster while playing it. The only game that makes me feel that way is Halo, which is also kinda funny, because it's also a FPS and not some sort of RPG.
That's exactly it! Not seeing a character for so long and knowing their journey is so emotional. Like a reminder of a better time.
The old gears was amazing! I have never cried when a game character died like when dom sacrificed himself! Seeing him here alive and young! ❤

Everything went so fast I went to screaming "IS GEARS OF WAR E-DAY" to me crying my eyes out seeing Dom for the first time which felt like ages.
That feeling though of seeing Dom is just amazing even though I was crying so hard I had to rewatching a couple time to properly see what was going on 🤣
Damn that took me back to the original trailer. I completed the original trilogy and 4 and 5 with both of my brothers and we're stoked for E Day.

I feel like this game was inevitable. The first games talked a LOT about E-Day and introduced a ton of characters that Marcus knew from those days, but we never actually got to see it. No flashbacks, nothing. Just stories about it from characters in the game. I swear they made the first game with the intention of some day making a prequel about E-Day
Showing Dom with the same song that they killed him off with is simultaneously one of the best things and most sinister things I've ever seen in a game trailer.
It’s my measuring bar for a gears fan if they can recognize a locust immediately in this trailer, you pass with flying colours I am happy
this trailer gave me the same reaction, gears 5 is great, dont get me wrong, I am GOW nut till the end, but I know we were all worried about what gears 6 may be with the Protagonist and what direction they may go. and this was the best most unexpected thing that the series could have ever done, I am beyond excited...

ANOTHER GAMER GIRL!!!! I know it wasn’t right lmao but my dad was playing gears growing up and I started playing gow3 when I was 10 years old 😭 it’s been twelve years and this series will always be my favorite ever. I genuinely wanna cry every time I see this trailer I can’t believe it’s back 😭

Yeah. That was the problem. Nobody knew what they were and how to fight them. A single Locust drone is like 2-3 times as strong as a strong man. If you dont know how to fight them, they will easily rip you apart. And on E-Day they did...

Yea it's been worse and this was actually better than the past 4 years but still nothing like the year of dreams we had from like 2015-2018
I don't want to hate but I don't understand what is emotional about this trailer. As a guy I'm embarassingly emotional when it comes to storytelling and often cry during movies, with this trailer I got nothing.
Did you play all the gears games ? Then you wouldn't understand
The composition of the music and knowing those characters story after not seeing them together for decades at this point as gamer...is veryyy emotional.
@@BriefKeef played them all multiple times, guaranteed I have a higher gamerscore than you on all of them to prove it too. The most emotional scene in the entire series is when Marcus gave Dom the strength to put Maria out of her misery in Gears 2 and it’s not even close. The look on Marcus’s face dreading that Dom might fire a second shot and the relief that he doesn’t. That scene makes me tear up just typing about it. In this scene when Dom’s hand appears saving Marcus it’s emotional but there’s nothing worthy of tears here.
@@ASSASSINASAN I mean I get why you were crying but there shouldn’t be any dudes crying in reaction to this but there are hundreds of thumbnails of dudes crying, I’m calling clickbait on those.
Not only Dom returning, but a Mad World transition bringing him in is very emotional if you’re someone who is well attached to the character like many of us are.
I was close to tears when I saw the trailer myself, Dom is an important character to me for personal reasons.
No release dates and just all hype, not even sure if these titles that where shown will be released. Kudos to xbox for the fake porn. It sucks to watch a lot of things die slowly
Yea I can understand that esp with so many games getting cancelled and delayed nowadays but this announcement was still exciting and worth celebrating
