I absolutely loved filling this Laser cut wood with Resin. I was so nervous about leakages or just simply ruining it :) but I found myself loving it. I used Packing tape (linked in my Amazon store) to seal the backs and it worked a treat.. I didn't want holes on the circle as I wanted to be free to design it as I wished.

WOW, Claire! I believe you outdid yourself this time. They are GORGEOUS!!! The techniques you used getting the resin into those small holes, and swirling them around - amazing! That GVS respirator is pretty awesome. I use a 3M half mask with organic vapor filters, nitrile gloves, safety glasses, long sleeves, and a carbon-filtered exhaust system I built when I had my old marijuana grow room. When I think back to my first week of working with resin - WOW! It's amazing I'm still breathing!
Let me tell you a little story that would be impossible, today. Back when CZcams was still young, I was posting videos on how to grow marijuana. When you posted it, you put your video in one of several categories - actor, director, creator, guru - there were about 7 categories (I don't remember all of them). I posted in the guru category. For three straight days, I was the most-watched channel in that category. They put a gold banner on my pages announcing that I was #1. I still have screen grabs of them somewhere. There is NO WAY a person could do that, today. Anyhow, that is one of my claims to fame. Another very important one is that I won Claire's Crafty Corner's contest. I'm still excited about that one. The Molds and Shapes mold they sent me is incredibly high quality. And the Jesmonite/resin pot you sent me is sitting on my desk. And I still use the Claire's Crafty Corner mug every day. Not a bit of wear, after washing at least once a day. Thanks again! You are awesome!

The swirls in the circle are techniques straight out of the marbling play book. And that's a really good use for those metallic paint markers. I haven't seen those markers in age. Might have to see if there are color other than silver and gold.

I just bought a wood cathedral window the day before yesterday (guessing its roughly 30" x 20"" in size) that.I had planned to do the exact same thing with! Can't wait to see how it turns out now that I've seen yours...thinking I'll go with a lot of the same colors that you used
Heyyyy lovely ... wow that is large ! It sounds amazing ! The reason I went with Opaque is because Resin does fade over time ... or yellows .... and some transparent colours literally fade to clear .... so I thought beat to stick to Opaque ❤❤❤ Have fun with your Cathedral Window xxx

That's gorgeous Claire. I will admit when you poured the resins on the feathers, I thought it would be a mess 🤭 but your "plan" worked out brilliantly, it looks like leaded glass! I'd love to see it in a window with sunlight coming through it.
Heyyyy Patricia ... thank you so much ! I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to deal with the mess and then it came to me .... so I just went for it and poured lots ! It would be stunning in the window with the light coming through .... but sadly Resin fades in sunlight .... so its not the best material for suncatchers x Not impossible ... but sadly not ideal x

@@patriciaharkin1571 yes most resins do ... but most of the advice I see is to keep out of direct sunlight. It would be interesting to just do an experiment and look at it in a year xx
