  • This video i make a disc for a future repair of a bowl. I laser cut a insert to fill with dyed resin. I use my Atomstack A5 pro laser engraver amzn.to/3sIE2X0 to create a cutout. I use Total boat resin amzn.to/35zy7un and mica powder amzn.to/3pCtqqr .

Very nice...buy who will pay you for this work? I did a lot of projects with wood and resin but couldn't find anybody to pay for all that work. . most of my creations and up as gifts or part of my house.

Thanks. This was used to repair the bottom of a bowl that otherwise would have been firewood. czcams.com/video/6D3TH_mHjkw/video.html The bowl did sell but it takes the right buyer for something like this.

Great idea. I normally get the pre cut outs or the pewter ones. What laser are you using?

very nice! i wonder would there be a way to finish it nicely like that without a lathe, a smaller tool perhaps?

If your looking to make coasters you can just sand it flat. Either find a way to keep it from moving and use a random orbital sander or use spray adhesive to put a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface and slide the piece back and forth over it.
