What a dream of a hard wood Swiss cheese you made to enjoy during the most relieving times of the day! Salute to the master!
Thank you Emerald, thank you for the complement! I hope youre well!
Great video Mate..it take a true craftsman to be able to make a worthy video about a shit paper holder build, that people care to watch..Cheers..
Cheers buddy, I thought maybe Im on a roll with this shit, but... 😂
Great video, and I agree on softwoods easier to cut dovetails.
Nice to meet you Ross, this is a first for me never have I met anyone say the same! Geez most tell me or act like Im crazy!!! 😂
That is certainly a fancy bog roll holder!
Cheers Chris, just dont call me a posh arse! 😂
Bottoms up Ben, super job. Just apply a little heat to the convex side of the panel, it will pull itself flat. Keep your eye on it as it can go to far past flat the opposite way. Tony
Thanks buddy!!! Really, like a hair dryer heat or????
@@HewAndAwe Yes Ben, anything hot. We used to leave panels, solid wood, chipboard, MDF etc; out in the DIRECT SUNSHINE leaning on the workshop wall CONVEX side up to dry the wood out. We'd be cursing big style having forgotten about them and having to turn them over to bend the buggers back the other way to straighten them out. Try it with any piece of wood against any heat source, it's a skill worth knowing. I've just done the exact same thing with a shelf against my extremely hot workshop stove for a commission for my mate I'm on with now. Don't tell my mate lol. Tony
Great work Ben... I genuinely look forward to your content
Thank you James thats nice to read mate!! 👍
I agree a solid number 2!
Very nice work, love the Swiss Cheese idea, you could try a KutzAll burr instead of wangling the drill around. Will leave a better, ground smooth finish than spending ages sanding!
Thanks John, I do have them but they don’t cut any where near as fast. I hope you’re having a great weekend! 🍻😊🍻
Brilliant, love it ! Thanks for sharing 👍
Cheers Steve! I hope youre well dude!!!
Ben fantastic job but can't stop shaking my head to the effin music.
I'm curious, uncomfortable silences in my vids kill off viewers, what would you do to solve those two issues?
Superb. Great entertainment as ever
Thank you Philip, appreciate the compliment mate! Hope you had a lovely Christmas! 🍻😊🍻
4:54 "...of course I would like a perfectly clean bottom..." Hehehe
I hope you had a lovely Christmas mate! 🍻😊🍻
Great video and cool project
Cheers Jiggsy! I hope you’re well! 🍻😊🍻
@@HewAndAwe all good here thank you
The coping saws are by a company called Knew Concepts but with how much they charge for their coping saws they should have been called Shafted by. As always buddy 💯% 👍.
I know mate, for that very reason I didnt say their name I "knew" it but thought, nah Im not plugging them!
@@HewAndAwe haha ain't I the dickhead 🤣
Hello Ben,
I just thought I would drop you a line to let you know that your channel is excellent.
It’s a bit spooky but I was really interested to know what your “day job” was so was surprised to hear that we are in similar lines of business. I have been a graphic designer for nearly 25 years so understand only too well how ‘the suits” are f%uc&ing the industry.
Any back to your channel.
Excellent craftsmanship, superb advice, great work, humour and a drizzle of humour.
LOVE IT mate, keep them coming.
Good luck
Gerard
Thank you Gerard!! Thank you for the compliment!!! I’m trying to make a go of making furniture and CZcams, I suffer with depression so it’s a right battle to do anything, especially at this time of year! Still must plod on. I hope you had a lovely Christmas! 🍻😊🍻
"I give it a solid No2" 😂😂😂😂😂 lovely job, great video and you got got me incontinent with laughter again.
By the way Ben may I ask what gel you use to mix with the sawdust?
Fiddes but I should say it goes off and its for me way to much in a tin, yeah great if you always screw up but.... www.wood-finishes-direct.com/product/fiddes-wood-filler-gel?gclid=Cj0KCQiAg_KbBhDLARIsANx7wAxzSaXGP0Wt1C2dwfSHtPzN76_goM1_vkJA6dFrlv7by5XXSS_ag58aAmd5EALw_wcB>in=5060147671292
@@HewAndAwe should be perfect for me then, according to my mother I was christened screw-up and something else🤔 I must go find my birth certificate 😳😂
Thanks for reply my friend.
Cashmere toilet rolls? WTF! 🤔 But then your tuchus probably appreciates it after shopping for tools😳
😂😂😂😂
Oh-man that cracked me up!!! You win the comments for sure!!!! 😂😂😂
Funny.😁 Interesting effect that. That one of those drill bits made for side action? Can't remember what they're called.
Does such a thing exist mate??? No just a Fisch bit, sharp AF! Id be interested if such a bit does exist....
@@HewAndAwe something I saw someone use and mention in a vid a few says ago. For the life if me can't remember it now. They do side cutting ones for plastics and the like. I suspect old boy was using a fully ground bit where there's a blade like edge all the way up the bit. I think the Fisch hss have that as standard. Just remember it seemed to properly eat material sideways.🤷♂️
"a solid #2" .. 😂😂😂😂
Terrible dad joke eh 😂 I hope you had a lovely Christmas! 🍻😊🍻
Stealing that idea of the led light and domino on the vice for better visability!
Im aiming for some binoculars next! 😂
Best ass-wipe holder i've ever seen!
LMAO!! Thanks for watching, Nic ego see the vids that did badly get a comment or two!! 😂😂😂
Dropping duces
