  • This is how to join two pieces of stone marble or granite. Whether its a cracked piece or a you want to join two new slabs of stone together, the process is exactly the same. This is an easy DIY task that any one can do themselves. Use the Tenax product and mix color to achieve a colour that is as close as possible to the base color of the stone benchtop or countertop . Excellent Bill, always wondered if you just throw the bench top out or repair it, Now I know there are options. 👍

Hey Bill, I was given a new shower base that I'm going to use for a shower/washroom in my new workshop. It was being thrown out because it has a tiny hairline crack radiating from the plug hole, otherwise it's perfect. Would this stuff be ok to patch it up? ( Was considering sealing the underside also to prevent any leak). Cheers, love your channel 👌🙏

How strong of a hold does Tenax have? Could I join two pieces of marble to make a small tabletop?

    Hey Bill
    i love the video
was just wondering i am looking to get stone benchtops and im needing 3300MM in length but all supplier and installers want to add the join at the sink which is half way in the middle is this for weight reasons to make lifting easier ?? largest slab sizes are 3200MM from what there tellinmg ,me

Some people choose to have the seam under the sink so it is less conspicuous.

Hi Bill thank you for uploading the video. I want a 4.5 metre breakfast bar x 1.6 width (yes I know it’s big but it is a big kitchen) and want to use a stone bench top. But the longest length is 3.2. I understand it would be heavy to manhandle so could you use 2 x 2.25 lengths joined together and colour match the tanex to stone I am using? Is that something a kitchen firm could do? Thanks in advance

Hi, it’s definitely something they can do however you want to avoid as many seams as possible. And the weight of one full piece is very hard to work with. Anything can be done but it will cost you $$$

@@billshowto thank you Bill yes it all boils down to dollars for sure. Just good to know that a bench top can be joined. 👍 cheers 😊

How come you didn't use clamps? Maybe clamps would allow that hairline crack to almost disappear.

Perhaps it is better to have the tenacity in there for strength and flexibility and not all squeezed out. Idk and I’m not even a tradie but just wonder myself
