I don’t think it is fair to blame the writers or producers of the Serial Podcast. Casting doubt on evidence does not mean the evidence doesn’t still hold up. The thing about Adnan’s case is that there is so little evidence it is hard for any story to be supported. The only definite thing the Serial Podcast proved was that the case itself was very messy. They talked with several other professional investigators and detectives. All of which believed that Adnan *was* guilty but his case was messy.

there as plenty of evidence - the ‘documentary’ and serial don’t show any of it - Adnan was heartbroken from
the breakup with hae - he was very possessive of her - she was moving on - that is the number one reason people get murdered.

@@acc4465 But the thing about documentaries, is they never feel like they cover the full extent of a story. That’s why there is doubt casted on this. Because many of Adnan’s friends say he was over Hae. That he was hitting on other girls and had moved on. Also Hae’s diary doesn’t show evidence that Adnan was very possessive of her either.
I’ve stopped believing anything anyone says about this case is cut and dry. Because I just don’t see it. Now, I do however think he is guilty, given the circumstances that he explained would have to happen and that Jay’s story somewhat aligns. But I say somewhat very loosely, as a lot of the stuff just doesn’t add up clearly. But I’m not simply going to believe that people say Adnan was a wicked or cruel person. I need more evidence and the evidence presented shows otherwise. But then people say “Well, opinions don’t so much as matter.” But then you see evidence of all the good that Adnan did too. And it becomes harder and harder to say he was just one thing.

I really enjoyed the Serial podcast. It was excellent. But like some of the people in the podcast, when you review the evidence (cellphone tower locations, etc) it was pretty clear he killed the poor girl. But great podcast!
He strangled the poor young girl and never apologized or owned up to it. He stole the money from his mosque and was an overall evil person.
