So, you wake up with no memories on a beach and then you find a mysterious book in the sand of this seemingly deserted island and what do you do? Shrug and throw it aside……
especially when the book is called “the mysterious island” or something similar 😂
wake up on a island with no memories, find a book labelled "Why you are on and island and have no memories", throw it away as surely I won't need it
I called that conntrived castaway
A true bigbrain move XD
Gotta get those tanlines bro
These recaps are great. It’s an interesting 14 minutes instead of a wasted 2 hours.
this is a tv show much longer than 2 hours. still a fucking waste.
A 7 episode show
8% on rotten tomatoes 😂
As much as that 😮
I started the movie and quit about 30 min in. I was finally able to finish it by watching this video!
What's the title
Excuse my ignorance but is that bad
Damn😂😂
At least actors had a great time on a tropical island
Omg 😂😂😂😂
Spoiler! It’s all green screen!
You're kidding? Its definitely sound stage with heater and sun lamp on
too hot to handle
Ark Survival Prison
LOL The government barely spends any money to feed inmates why would they spend billions on a virtual reality 😂
Probably sponsored by Raycon or whatever knock offs
And testing for what? They don't even seem to know they're guilty of anything.... They also look like they intend to keep them there so what's the point of monitoring them? Also that "prison" seems more tolerable than the reality in the world outside it, i'm surprise the scientists and nurses haven't hooked themselves up to the island or wherever else they can think of to escape that depressing life outside their work.
It would be easier leaving them in a simulation and it’s like a bunch of coma patients. Instead of guards and dealing with the costs of food and fighting and some prisons have programs and that costs money so having them in a coma and have nurses cleaning after their bedside and injected liquid nutrients to keep them alive is a bit cheaper and easier.
Because tens of millions are already being spent on incrcerated people in the prisions every year. Once put in place you would be able to save money. A person on a machine needs up to 700 calories less per day, Five or more gards per cell block can be cut to one. No more medical trips for inmate fights or property dame from rioting and fighting. No more programs for religion or education. Also inmates have access to internet, phone service and tv programing,. More inmates are allowed to have tablets with limited tv music and books. All these things coul d be cut out.
@@citrusbutter7718 I live on a Tropical Island and I couldn't agree more.
Why were Chase's flashbacks about her mother getting shot/she shooting her mom yet it turns out she didnt do it? Everyone else's flashback was actually about what they had done!
My guess would be that since they didn't know which of them really did the murder because neither confessed to it, they implanted them both with the idea that they each did it, in hopes the real one would confess to save the other or would be guilted into it or would accident confess to the murder not knowing that they were been monitored. 🤷🏻♀️
Gaslit.
Random thought... If you lived in a simulation for 25 years, laying in one of these recliner chairs.... And then eake up... You'd think the real world was terrifying, not onky because of differences, but also because you "suddenly" wouldnt be able to move anymore (muscles would have wasted away)...
She wasn’t in recliner they were in pod with water 💧 there was a scene where she wen in white coat 🧥 inside are the prisoners in pod floating in a pool of water 💧
She wasn't in the simulation for that long. That's how long she was a prisoner. She looked young in the simulation only because that's how she looked when she committed the crime.
Even with current VR tech sims are able to follow your muscle movements + if it's really that realistic then like in an intense dream, you'd most probably flex & relax your muscles automatically.
Now this is the kind of movie that is great for recap channels
It's actually a Netflix series.
@@azalago ugh I couldn’t imagine sitting through 7 episodes of this. And I’m surprised I didn’t hear of this back in 2019 before streaming services became a little too over saturated with content. It honestly seemed like a 90min - 120min production that didn’t need to be 4 1/2 hours long. Glad the fat was trimmed down for this video.
Easier said than done, if it doesnt ended up like The Island of Dr Moreau hellish production or you just sit on green hell of CGI
I watched this series few years ago. It was terrible lol, no wonder they didn't do a sequal
@@danny_rachowhat’s it called
The "which in Texas is a low bar" made me laugh 😂 not sure if youre implying that TX is full of irredeemable people or if Texas has a harsh stance on criminals and its difficult to redeem yourself.
It's a comment the character makes about Texan law.
both my ex wives are from texas and both of them are cheaters. soooooo
Texan law is ruthless, as law should be
@@DixieRect law is intended to be compassionate. The US embodies this with its constitution. Texas is just the red headed step child of the family.

You do such a great job at movie recaps. I never have to watch the movie and I'm always left with a great explanation.
The reason this would never work is because as a person grows and is influenced their mental pathways in their brains form accordingly. So, even if their memories are wiped the way they think and process information is not.
hint the point he was trying to make
Yeah, thet's the entire point they are trying to discuss with this film
Totally disagree.
Thats true, but if while in prison, the prisoners are truly remorsful, they would have changed dramatically in the years since they commited the crime. which is what the scientists are trying to see, if they have changed internally
whaaat lol wrong
great recap as per usual
She had issues with her mother and leased a house from her?
greed
I don't think they knew it was her mother at first, but yeah, when they found out, I'd have cancelled the lease asap.
I like how Cooper became Copper😂
Great recap as always❤
9:50 so.... they can't remember why they're on the island or that they're in a simulation but they're supposed to somehow know that they'll be k!lled if they k!ll anyone else in the simulation because they signed a waiver before they entered the simulation? yeah.. makes sense. I mean, apart from everything else that makes total sense in this film. But seriously, I'd probably try to get as far away from all those psychotic people as possible. You know it can't end well for anyone.
Chase fighting and beating multiple men in hand to hand combat...because army! Lol
KC the woman that killed her 2 sons. She was abused but killing your own children that’s messed up. If she killed her abusive husband and he tried drowning her I’d understand that but her own children is horrible.
That's what I'm saying
the husband is going to take the kids away so she decided to kill them and herself she survive she tried to kill herself again by stabbing her self didn’t work
People in desperate situations do what she did all the time. In their minds they genuinely believe that they're being selfless and doing the best for their children, ending their suffering in this world. To them, letting them live would be cruel.
@@catinabox3048 It's less ending their suffering in this cruel world (too general) and more specifically keeping them from their dad's abuse.
@@blanktrigger8863 Assuming she murdered the husband instead, then they would be parentless and all that emotional stress jazz etc. I think id rather have a horrible childhood and end up living, but hey
1. Find fresh water source. 2. Make fire 3. Find food (eg. Fish, coconut, mushrooms) 4. Build a shelter. 5. Make some kind of signal in case a ship passes by. 😮 Live happily ever after, it's a simulation after all.
The only thing I remember about this movie is one guy did not go swimming because he was not sure if he knew how or not.
When the recap is too long I know it's a damn show.
Thank you for the recap! 😁
Good film and it was awesome to see Rachel Luttrell who played Teyla Emmagan on Stargate Atlantis. 💙
How do they keep the clothes so white !!! must be thru the deserted tropical island laundrymat ..
' WTF is this island and why am I here? '
* Finds a book about a mysterious island and throws it away *
Sooo dumb. 👎👎
Recaps are a godsend for someone with ADHD who can't watch a 2 hour movie
Even this 20 minute recap was almost too much. Oof.
I have adhd and have no problem watching 2 hour movies
excellent flick and summation..thank you

I want to see you make a recap of the movie Wanted from 2008
It's there somewhere

This review is better than the show.
I loved this miniseries so much, shame it ended. It also could have been better here and there, but I still like it a lot
Looks tedious.
Nice video
Whoa it's like Matrix in a twisted way.
I just got the weirdest fucing poly ai ad
They basically based this on a virtual reality version of how Australia was founded it seems. Which was originally a prison colony on an island...
What a horrendous slog. I can't imagine actually watching this without a recap
Why would they leave all those clues in the sorce code when they wrote the islands programme
Because coders are like that.
@@fredbloggs5902 but this is meant to be a prison 🤯

Interesting idea with the prison simulation. Do you think such experiments can help reform criminals? Or is it senseless cruelty?
What’s the name of the movie

Is that...Teyla Emmagan??
At least put up the title of the movie

A whole series summed up in 21 minutes?
It sounds like a "It could have summed up in one single movie" type of series.
This is on Netflix I watched it before and it’s good I recommend!
donovan got no rizz
Interesting, looks like the recap is better than the movie ;)
I was able to overlook her beating up every man she encountered up until the part where she was chained by the neck to a wire and was still beating up multiple men.
This movie is a major crime to any hardware, it is stored on! I call for justice in the form of a restraining order!
Moses could have split the sea 🙄🙄😂😂
😂 why would she throw a book titled mysterious island when they are on a mysterious island
Can you do "the shift"
This island is the definition of fuck around and find out!
I just started and I'm trying to suspend my disbelief, but this small middle-aged soccer mom has already overpowered a jacked gym-bro, twice. I hope this doesn't continue delving into stupid girl-power levels of foolishness.
Edit: (It's not looking good...)
She's an Olympic level swimmer that just swam faster than sharks...
She's a genius that somehow figured a random password, with 0 hints...
She knocked out two men with the entire group surrounding her, before taking any damage...
She knocked out two armed guards, and subdued one to a chair with tech she's never seen before...
She abducted a nurse, while dodging gunfire, and beating up more guards...
Defends herself against 4 guards with weapons, while being tied up by the neck, before finally going down after backup arrives...
All this, and I'm not even 8 minutes in.
Next recap...
That too while actually being 60 years old or something
If all of that is too much than I hope you are not a fan of the Fast & The Furious franchise lol, those movies have gone way out of hand on what is/isn't possible.
Johnny Sins suddenly appears @ 9:11

“Which in texas is a low bar”😂
hey
So what’s the message this movie is trying to say it’s better to stay in prison that’s kind of sick
Not every movie needs a message. Most movies are message is supposed to be "I hope the people watching it would have some fun"
It feels like ‘I am’ alone, lonely, only looking for my freedom through the freemasons, my father-sssss
They let this Chase person beat up all these guards but they keep giving her a second chance... ok

What movie is this
Seeing a women overpower so many men is the most netflix thing I've ever seen.
supposedly it’s her “military training” that she had like 25 years ago, hahahaha
@@deadshot8077When someone is train in physical activity, the more repetition and focus that is put on said training by said individual, it is basically ingrained in their mind and body. Doubt you can beat a pro mma female fighter who's fought and trained for 7 years, same with a pro boxer who boxed for 10 years, just like I doubt you can beat a female marine who was in the forces for years while also being at war for a time. "women are naturally weaker then men so that means no woman can beat a man" is some shit man children say when they feel they are entitled to being superior to the women around them. That chair brings back some memories. It didnt happen in real life, just in my head. I remember being sat in a chair and man kept questioning me over and over. I wont say his name. We've never met but i seen videos of him on CZcams and hes on the news at the moment. Which i think they should set him free. But that chair made me remember.

After watching all these recaps of movies, I knew that the Black guy won't be the bad guy.
