      I am GenX. Something has changed in our society and access to guns is NOT what has changed. I grew up in a town that had this same "gun culture". I got my first gun for Christmas when I was 9. I stored the gun and the ammo in my bedroom. By the time I was in HS I had multiple guns, including the loaded handgun I kept in my car that I drove to school everyday. Many of my classmates did the same. We were taught gun safety from an early age. We didn't have school councilors. I didn't have a good home life. I was THE kid everyone picked on growing up. It never entered my mind that shooting up the school was even an option. It never entered the mind of any of my friends who had full access to guns and ammo. He begged to see a therapist and psychiatrist. He drew a picture of a shooting with the words: "the voices don't stop. Help me" underneath. The parents saw the picture BEFORE the shooting. They knew he was hearing voices for years at this point. They knew they denied him treatment for it. They knew they had bought him a gun and ammunition. And they still did absolutely nothing. No shade, but with it affecting you so much… I have to ask if you ever tried to clean it for her, or gotten help to do so? Would she make it difficult if you had, maybe out of embarrassment? Having that much chaos constantly is a sign of mental illness and self depreciation. I promise I’m not pointing blame on you, I’m just curious.

      I did have cleaners come in a few times but any benefits were short-lived and the clutter would be back within days. It got to a point where I couldn’t comment on it at all or it started a major fight. So I just lived with it for way too long. @@prittypandasmom6309

      That’s what I keep saying! It’s not fair to judge someone because their house isn’t neat when you don’t know them or know what their going through on a day to day basis! Most people that live like that DO have some sort of mental health issues! What it comes down to is he didn’t do what he did because his house wasn’t neat I can promise you that!

    If the mother was complaining about how messy the son's room was, I would conclude that the mother did not set a good example. I would have mental health issues too, with the level of mess in the master bedroom. I conclude that the rest of the house is just as messy and disorderly. Such mess is indicative of the mess in the minds of the residents in that house.

    Cute house from the outside but the inside is a total mess. Did the shooter really need 2 bedrooms? Sad that he wasnt raised in a more tidy and disciplined environment. I wouldn't be able to sit in such disaray. Very sad. Kids do better with love, nurturing and rules.

    Instead of buying a gun for your son, go out and buy a Bible to learn about being kind to other people. I am not a religious man, but it makes sense to me instead of buying a gun. For someone that mentally unstable and her lawyer is not ready for any kind of trail , let alone this trial at this magnitudeThe mother is so calloushe looks like what am I doing here? What have I done I don't believe she thinks that she did anything wrong. She could have stopped her husband for buying that gun.

    It’s as though these parents had Ethan to please grandparents or because it’s expected rather than they wanted to be parents. Affairs, guns, horses ect yet no attention, health insurance, mental health care or affections for this boy, how sad they left him in his time of need, he cried out for help so many times and they did not listen or care until it effected them.

    • @Kallie4378
      @Kallie4378 Před 2 měsíci

      Well that would make sense because when your mentally not feeling well the last thing your going to care about is making sure your house is spotless so yeah, maybe both parents were mentally unwell! All I know is it’s not my place to judge how other people live when you don’t know what they deal with on a day to day basis. If you want to judge them for not getting their son help or allowing him access to a firearm that’s one thing but there is no reason to judge them for not keeping a neat house! That has nothing to do with why this happened!

    I like how Jennifer's Attorney was able to get in the "fact" that her client "didn't know the combination to the safe" or she had "no knowledge" of how to get in the safe, without putting her client on the stand and asking her directly. Were I the prosecution, I would have pointed out that the question has no reference to what Jennifer knew, or DIDN'T know about the safe. That maybe she did know, and maybe she didn't, that that has yet to be determined. Not leaving that fact hanging.
