- Bill Owens recently visited the Martin Parr Foundation in Bristol. He recorded this short film talking through his book 'Altamont 1969'. For anyone who didn't make the talk you can catch up on the whole event recorded live and available to members in the archive at the Foundation.

I bought this book and it came to me in very beat up shape, good one both Amazon and UPS. I returned it because of the condition and the disappointment. Most of the pics I had seen before or almost the exact copies. If you you want to see faceless masses buy it but there is no explanation as to where the picture is located towards the stage. Mr Owen was so afraid of retaliation from the HA he never 👎 released these photos until now. I had always hoped for a type description as to where the stage was layed out and the the rest of the scene which wasn’t much. Think before you rush into this book, even now he is scared to give much info. Where are the rest of the pics/ films of that day folks. Where are the pics or films of them lifting Hunters body onto the stage. I don’t think it exists because they may have carried him there but it was not pushed away from being accepted because they didn’t know the were trying to conceal a beating / stabbing. Nobody followed them down and said “ not this one “. Cutler said his blood was all over him trying to carry his body, yet you see other bodies being passed up on stage for help. Something is wrong here and I smell some kind of a lie ! Mr. Owen got frightened and left before it got dark, what a journalist!
Weird if you could see Meredith hunter in there
