Was nice to follow your 1st year in the Army and I am looking forward to seeing everything you do in your 2nd year! 😃
loved this - thanks chelsie!
Love you!
Great Effort
Been reading that book I recommend. Brilliant and insightful.
You ve passed soldier training. Next is officer training which is 44 weeks.
First 5 weeks of that will be hard and a big learning curve.
Everyone wants success.
But I will say this speaking from my own life experience. You learn the most from failure about yourself and what you could of done better.
Failure is the greatest lesson embrace failure. If you learn from failure you will bounce back and be more resilient in everything you try. 👍🏻 🇬🇧 🙂
Everyone wants success which is obvious.
Myself I want the failure to learn from its the greatest lesson.
The major general says some officer cadets have never failed anything in their lives until being at Sandhurst.
If you get the book I suggested it will help you immerseley before Sandhurst and during training. Really gives you the heads up on the institution it's self as Sandhurst the academy seems mysterious until you pass through its gates. Sandhurst the myth, the stories/ the history/ the training / the course etc.
Learn from failure
Grow in character
Personal development
Leadership
Change as a person.
Life changing it will be. 💂♀️🎶💪😒🙋
Highs and lows.
Just giving my advice.
👍🏻🇬🇧💂♀️🙂
another good book to get and read before heading to Sandhurst is. The Habit of Execellence by lieutenant Colonel Langley Sharpe. Teaches about leadership with examples draw from the authors own experience and taught at Sandhurst. 👍🏻 🇬🇧 💂♀️
0:22 - this is ridiculous, I am watching these videos back to back and it’s making me all emotional 🥲.
For a person how was fit then had an injury that is all sorted now what work out app thing would you recommend to use to get fit aging. Love your videos ❤️
Nice video and well done on all your progress. When are you thinking of joining the regulars?
Thank you & I'm in the process at the moment
Get this book also before you head off to Sandhurst. It's called Stand Up Straight
10 life lessons from the Royal military academy Sandhurst by Major General Paul Nanson. 👍🏻 🇬🇧 💂♀️ 🙂.
I bought this book and you can apply these 10 lessons to normal life as well as Army life. 👍🏻🇬🇧
You going for a commission.?? Good fun. I am an old hand back in late 80's and TA as well. Happy days .
Nice im in the Manchester UOTC at the minute while studying the lpc lmm at uni looking to join the army legal services regiment after i qualify.
My application got put on hold for a month. I found out yesterday my assessment day is in the 31st of january in pirbright. I was calling my recruiter every 2 days just for an update, it was stressful but now I can't wait!!!
Good luck for Jan, it'll come around quickly!
See you there ;)
Sounds very similar to my time in the Malaysia Territorial Army. Not too surprising as it was originally set up by the British during their Colonial Rule. Still can't get used to the new name of Army Reserves for the British Territorial Army. Best part of my Terrier time was the joint training with the US Marines in amphibious assault exercises on the East Coast of Malaysia. Majority of the Marines were reservists too and very dedicated. Was surprised to find out that most of them had taken leave of up to 6 months in order to participate full time in these overseas exercises.
Oh wow you been in there for a year already, I remember when you first signed up
Ma'am, what's the Age Limit for a young serving soldier to apply for officer selection?
Noticed you have a Rifles beret previous, if anyone asks you what makes a good rifleman "3 rounds a minute in any condition"
Yeah, don't do this.
You may be able to fire 3 rounds a minute, but can you stand?
I hope you I did being a reservist as much as I did!, drop us a line for a free set of our webbing as we do adore the part-timers!
I was in catterick back in July 2020 ready to join the rifles but had to drop out due to family issues but now finally decided to go back this year haha.
Good luck for Catterick!
So you regular or reservist or like ‘professional regular officer’ that does the reservist course ?
Would you ever leave the army and If you did when?
Did you have a Bergen with you because I have mine but not sure wether to pack my kit in it for mod 1 or just bring it with me
Hey, I've got my MOD 1 in Jan and was told to bring absolutely everything. My bergen is stuffed full just with my sleeping bag alone in it but no harm adding personal items you need to it if room in side pockets etc. My black kit bag is full so not much space left for other bits we need to get. When is your date and where?
@@brick_apprentice thank you it’s my partner who’s in the services he’s going on his mod 1 on January the 14th at donnington barracks but he was unsure wether to put some stuff in his Bergen as a requirement
And are you able to transfer to regular army after you've done your phase 2 training in reserves
Yes, but it's a ridiculously long process. Better off putting a separate application in and going regular that way.
I'm curious about your last name. Do you have a Spanish background. ?
This flashed up on my timeline, interesting stuff. But question, you have a degree, could you not just have done Sandhurst and got a commission?
Thank you! I'm pursuing a regular commission at the moment.
@@ChelsieAngeles Good luck!
Read this book by Heloise Goodley, published 2013, An officer and a Gentle women explains her journey through Sandhurst and then the field Army going to Afghanistan on tour and other places. Worth a read. Think it's about £8 on Amazon.
Could try Ebay. 👍🏻 🇬🇧 🙂 💂♂️
Nice

Hello good info but should of stated this was for reserves
So you’re army reserve not regular army?
Hello Ma'am,
I'm Saurabh and I'm from India, can I apply for British army.
Reply Please🙏🏻🙏🏻🇮🇳🇬🇧🇬🇧🇮🇳🙏🏻🙏🏻
They probably have a website try going there to find more info. Best wishes.
Bonita señorita soldado saludos desde Chile.
I just like to watch her she is so nice
Just an opinion from a yank veteran, but if you're tolerating your first year fairly easily, i.e. you don't spend at least part of every day afraid you're gonna fail or die, you're probably not attempting a high enough level role for yourself. That may come later.
@St. Elmo Why does that make a difference?
Hi nice to know you
Saludos desde Mexico 🇲🇽
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I LOVE YOU........................CHELSIE ANGELES...........................................
💖💖💝🇮🇳
You are too beautiful to be a soldier. I am not a British but I hope to join the British army. haha
Hallo
1 year in the Reserves*
Still the army
My favorite army
British army
I love u ..
Just to be clear you're a reservist so you're not really in the army? Try going full time and having mortars blowing your mates up and report back on what it's really like to be in the army.
How many medals you got?
Reservists get blown up, go on multiple tours, earn medals... Reservists get regularly attached to regular units.. Go to any reservist infantry unit and say that.. You will be eating your fucking teeth!
Have you ever experienced any abuse or sexual harassment as a reservist? I ask this in view of several recently report sexual harassments even at the level of a general, resulting in court-martials and dismissal from the service. As reported by the BMJ Military Health journal, of 750 female veterans surveyed, 22.5% reported that they had been the victims of harassment. Officers are not exempt from this, You have obviously worked hard to prepare for the army, and Sandhurst, and I therefore wonder how you feel about entering a profession where you have no recourse to the criminal justice system.
Smeeeells like a journalists question........
