It just made 0 sense! I mean Ron had Luke and the other complementary guy (Davis, maybe) in CAR, but the second level just remained a hole year after year. He also had Norman in CAR, and we couldn't seem to draft a reliable CB. Glad it's a new day!
They turned out both to be pretenders... posers if you will.

I am really excited to get some grown football mentors in this organization. I get the feeling this guy is far more prepared for this than EB was for his position. Plus, he'll have lots of support from other coaches if needed.
Nah, EB was ready. To be honest, our line found continuity and chemistry late in the season. I think Sam ended up hitting that wall, and just kinda crumbled. We didn’t run the ball a lot; but I think the thought behind that, was when the line was struggling, and not getting any push, and our runs got nothing; EB just went pass-heavy, given the options we have on the outside and the slots/TEs. I think once Rivera benched Sam that first time, it was a wrap on his season; but Jacoby got hurt. I like Sam; but at least we found out that he can be a great backup; he'll win you some games. But he is what he is, and EB had to find out, either way.
I envy the way he talked about his father. I’m getting pumped up already about these moves!
