I’ve owned so many wood stoves all name brands and sizes and gasification ones but my favorite has been this fireant. It just simply works, the ventilation is great. I’d love a titanium standard size stove but not sure if I even need the extra size. Totally forgot about solid fuel tray as well ! Lol thanks good vid
Taking my original stainless backpacking for the first time this weekend. Got a great tip from cragdwella. Put the cross bars in the bottom for the trangia to raise it up a bit.
Good info man, awesome tips on gathering wood and good pointers on dead fall wood vs dead limbs and twigs on the trees themselves. With all the rain we've been having this video definitely has its place.
Love my Emberlit stove,we used it for cooking last yr and works really well, and taking it with me on a bikepack overniter this week.Kinda tired of those isobutane cans.
Oh!! I LIKED this video! Geez mister....you made me want to go campin'! But, I want to go with that nice little pot that you can hang. Where did you get that? Just what I would need I bet. Thanks for any info! Put more stuff up !!!
Hey are you ever going to do a volume 2 of Tips and Tricks? This is a good video. I took my SS version and my FireAnt out this past Saturday and cooked lunch and just practiced using them. They are nice stoves. Cleaning the soot off the pots is an issue. I look forward to trying the ash paste trick. Thanks for making these in America.
Hey there, still haven't returned the stove same excuse school and sports, any way I've devised to fore go sending it back to you, one piece has a crease from a machine of some sort, if I have any problems I'll let your know and or send it to you for further evaluation, thanks for creating such a great product. I'm glad I was able to help fund and support you the whole way
Just out of curiosity, have you tried a small Vaseline cotton ball in the bottom and lit it with a flint? If not, once I pick one of these up in the next couple of weeks I will try it out and let you know. Great design BTW!
I just want to say I'm sorry For not returning the stove yet, I have been wally caught up with school and sports, I will mail you my stove that's has the defects and markings before Christmas while I'm on Brake that way I will have time to mail it to you thanks for understanding
I love your stoves but like any wood burning stove, it's dirty. What do you suggest for keeping the pot clean , clean up after, or keep from getting soot in my pack.
+George Bortnick We actually have a really cool method for cleaning your pots and pans that we've been testing. I'm shocked by how well it works. Basically just take the ash from the stove, mix it with water, and use that paste to clean the pots. I'm going to shoot a video on how to do this very soon.

Very soon. I just got a new camera setup and the weather is finally nice.
Just clean the inside of the pot. Leave the outside sooty cuz it transfers the heat better.

Cool good to know. I'm picking one up this week! Once I get the last of my ultimate fire kit built I'm going to showcase this stove. I'm sold man!
Very much appreciated.
Always, very good work.
Question: Who makes the pot you used in the video?
it's a Snow Peak kettle no1
Can't seem to find Vol2
Yeah, got side tracked. I do intend to make one. Just have to make time.
Bravo guys :)
