    About Me:
    My name is Yelena and I was born in the small town of Pinar Del Rio, Cuba
    From the age of seven I moved to Havana and started at a boarding school stuyding with the National Ballet School of Cuba (A scary but exciting opportunity for me!).
    I then spent the next decade learning and honing my skills as a ballerina. Skills which I would then use to turn myself into a professional touring ballerina touring around Cuba.
    With limited opportunities in my own country, I then took the amazing leap to traveling abroad and was lucky enough to be sponsored by a company to work in a stage show in China of all places!
    Since then I have continued to perform and travel, and most recently have begun teaching. I truly believe I have lots of ideas to share with you as well as a in-depth view of the cuban ballet methodology for ballet.
    My aim is purely to help you learn and enrich your ballet technique and increase your love for dance! ❤️ Enjoy this ballet for all ballet variation

    I love your variation tutorials. They are easy enough to follow along for beginners but still have details! Especially, I appreciate you always showing steps-only first. It makes it much much easier to understand. Thank you

    hello, love the video! I have just 1 question, are we supposed to mirror you or do it like if you were in front of us? 💗

      Hi Sofia, hope you are doing well. For this video I didn’t Mirrored the actions which means you should do opposite to me when following my verbal detections. However you could also follow my physical actions (mirroring the legs and arms) and forget about the directions I’m giving. My latest variations tutorials are mirrored as I listened to the other dancers feedbacks, but few are not. Apologies for that. Have a great day ☺️

    Could I do this on pointe?

    • @BalletForAll
      @BalletForAll  Před rokem

      Deciding whether to pursue ballet on pointe is a personal and individual choice that depends on several factors. It's important to note that dancing on pointe requires strong technique, years of training, and guidance from a qualified ballet instructor. If you're interested in exploring ballet on pointe, I would be happy to provide you with private classes and help you evaluate your technique and guide you accordingly. I can give you proper instruction, exercises, and insights on when and how to progress to pointe work safely. Remember, patience and proper preparation are crucial when it comes to dancing on pointe. It's an exciting goal to work towards, but it's essential to prioritise your safety and take the necessary steps to develop the strength and technique required. With dedication and guidance, you may indeed find yourself dancing on pointe one day.😘
