For the fast tab closing, basically it closes the tab before running the code programmed to run when you leave, rather than leaving it open until it's done.
Hint for "hacking" the dino page: 1. play a round until you die *(don't restart the round)* 2. right-click the page body and click Inspect 3. there should be a tab "Console" in the inspection window 4. go there and type: _Runner.config.SPEED=999_ you can also type any other number for your dino's speed. theres also more variables in the config class you can adjust e.g. jump height

Thanks for the tip about the mute feature. I had noticed the speaker icon, but unlike in Firefox, clicking the icon wouldn't mute the tab. That may have been my only real gripe with Chrome..and now it's fixed :)

A cool other feature is to bookmark all your current open tabs using Ctrl-Shift-D. So this way you can reopen them all together afterwards. Ideal if you have one Chrome open with different tabs about 1 subject.
Here's another neat trick. You can use your keyboard to switch between tabs. Use CTRL + TAB to go to your next tab, or CTRL + SHIFT + TAB to go to your previous tabs. It's useful for someone that hates using mouse to switch tabs like me.

@ThioJoe How about an easy way to run Chrome / Firefox / as much as possible 100% in RAM ? I use the portable Chrome version with Primocache on my hard drive D and system OS drive C. I get over 60% cache hits on both drives, sometimes 90% for the OS drive. This greatly speeds up the computer and reduces hard drive and SSD wear, enable the deferred write too and set to 600 seconds or longer. I've used 1800 or 30 minutes. You need at least 16GB to do this. Also the Tab Suspender helps if you have many tabs open like I don and Freshstart session manager.
You can still retrieve a tab/page not only after Chrome has been closed, but also after you've shut down your pc. Simply power up your pc and/or open Chrome again, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of Chrome, click on "History," click on "Recently Closed" and choose the website/page that you wish to return to.
Enable the Save Page as MHTML to allow pages to be saved as 1 compressed file. If only they supported MAFF which has about HALF the file size or LESS many times. Sadly even Firefox Quantum version isn't supporting this.

Other extremely useful internet tips: When you save a bookmark, I erase the words. I can easily recognize what site it is just by icon and makes for more room on bookmark bar. Second, is middle mouswheel button opens up a new tab when hovering over next to a tab, and also same button closes a tab when hovering over the tab, so you dont have to aim the mouse accurately over the tiny x. It sounds trivial, but try it out, its very nice.

For everyone who might wonder: From what I know all of these also work in probably every Opera browser (I think, I only use GX), and other Chromium based browsers. Note: The T-Rex game link is the link to the browser respective no internet page.
The most hidden, cool, lesser known feature of Google Chrome is the Iron browser. It uses the same source base as Google Chrome but maintains your privacy instead of reporting back to Google everything that you do.
T-rex game also initiates by pressing up on the arrow keys (or, in video game terms, the D-pad). Down on the D-pad is also useful as later on in the game you come across birds that you need to duck under
Right click on something on a page, and select "inspect element." Once that window opens, you'll be looking at the page's code. Then you can do things like right click on the element and choose "delete node", and that will rip some annoying part of the page right out. It's also super, super handy for finding out selectors (most commonly IDs for "#" and classes for ".") to use in Stylish to "fix" the page "permanently" (or at least until the page's author changes the page not to use those selectors).
Right click on the tab and select duplicate. :-) Hope that helps! That right click does wonders! Also, Chrome and various Google products have somewhat useful and interesting shortcuts. You can find them easily by doing a quick search for Google Shortcuts or Chrome or Gmail keyboard shortcuts. You might find it a great timesaver depending on what you do online, and how you interact with your browser and various sites. It does work for Mac using CMD + Shift + T. Reopening closed tabs also works even after you've closed down Chrome and reopen it. It's extremely cool!
