Great video! I learned a lot! I wish you would have put a summary list in the description. it would've help me remember the tips. I need to see things in writing to help remember them. So I'm going to rewatch and write them down
Outside you will have access to these amazing and useful features; real people, pure oxygen produced by trees (I'm not going to go into detail about trees), physical shops to buy physical objects such as water and food! I personally really like food.
That last tip might actually be my favorite. I've seen so many comments from toxic people that decided to complain and gripe if I were to, for instance, mislabel a computer part because it was 2am and I was tired. These idiots come straight up with "You obviously have no idea what you're talking about!" as opposed to the obviously more helpful and simple, "Hey. I think you made a mistake, I think the correct thing is..."
This is one I use a lot: Ctrl + Arrow Keys (Left and right). It moves the typing cursor word by word, instead of letter by letter. And Shift + Arrow keys lets you highlight letter by letter, instead of having to use the mouse. And then, Crtl + Shift + Arrow keys highlights word by word.
The "outside" graphics are terrible, I hear these weird notifications coming from these feathered things??? Where is the help menu for this "outside"!!!! Help!!!
CTRL+SHIFT+T also works in Firefox, very handy tip! The right click to copy option is one I use a lot as left click and dragging will default to move if it is on the same device, where as you may only wish to copy and that is where right clicking comes into play.
Joe: You have to explain to your IT department what happened in detail. You can’t just say “It’s not working.” Me, who works in help desk: Preach Joe, preach.
Holy crap. Thank you so much, Thio! I use the Off Feature on a daily basis and it makes work a whole lot easier. Never knew this was on my PC and it is by far the most helpful computer function.
I like your presentation. It is concise and easy to understand. Best of all you don't have to do a lot of swearing to get a point across . Keep up the good work. Roy
Erm That "Off Button" sounds like a great Idea but you did tell me where To find it? I've been stuck in front of this PC for 7 years! Never realised I could just switch it off and go outside!
joe, here is a tip for your followers that are comcast customers. if after dropping their cable box remote it no longer accepts commands from buttons being pressed then do this. pull the batteries out one at a time and reinsert them properly. dropping the remote causes the batteries to come slightly ajar. i suggested this to comcast snd they were very happy that i told them this. i hope it helps people.
I'm glad you mentioned number 10. Don't know how many people who comes to me with a computer problem, after installing bloatware that slows down their pc.
I use that ALT+F4 one all the time to shut down instead of going to start menu, I still have "update and shutdown" and "Update and restart" come up. That doesn't always bypass updates.
I figured something out in youtube, shift+/ will bring up an information panel that has keyboard shortcuts for youtube. Hope you read this ThioJoe, your videos are very helpful especially the one where you instruct how to engage all threads in a CPU.
I knew some, but the triple click, drag right, shift tab, and that outside one I didn't know. Though for the life of me I can't imagine why anyone would want to use that last one. So for bringing me information I didn't already have, that's earned a Like. Props, Joe
"OFF BUTTON" - and I was waiting for you to talk about this new/old feature. I actually replayed that section before I said to myself "duh! - Caught me". However, I do know about "outside" and there is actually an area near me that has a field which looks very similar to you screenshot of "Outside" except in the summer it is a field of sunflowers about 6 feet high. Truly splendid to view. BTW, I like your posts.
Joe.. It'll be a while before people are sure if you're joking or not. Isn't much that can be done about it. I loved your old videos, but I love your new videos even more. I'm an IT field tech and you are the only tech guy I listen to on CZcams. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, this is a very helpful tutorial video. This is a very useful video for beginner computer users; this video displays the basic on how to open programs, as well as how to manage them. Thank you!
I use a free program called ShortKeeper that can trigger any windows shortcuts plus any other shortcuts that you want to create by using your own custom hotkeys which makes it easier to trigger and much more powerful!
You forgot to mention the most amazing thing, which is called RWVR. It's an incredible experience, for all your senses, either it's eyes, ears, felling, taste, smell, etc, it's so amazing real you will not be able to tell if you're sitting in front of the computer or somewhere else...
Searched for the "OUTSIDE" app, couldn't find it. The CMD prompt tip was AWESOME! I could have used this SO MANY times. I usually just press SHIFT+RIGHT CLICK which will add an extra option to open a command prompt for that folder.
Yesssss "outside" where I can play wildly with my dogs ..,. and it works even with the pc ON!! actually i have my laptop on almost all the time ... I love your shows Joe!
8:30 Outlook or Thunderbird used to have a RECALL function, which would allow to undo your sent mail, it the recipient hasn't read the mail by the time you realize your sent mail was wrong. It wouldn't always work since a mail may have different persons being sent to, some may have already read it, others not.
I really like this video concept. Even if the old ThioJoe was kind of funny, you found a nice way to present useful informations with a briant pinch of amusement. Big Up!
As a web developer on the side the design mode thing will speed up my work 10 fold. holy crap how didn't I know about this. also ctrl +shift + T already knew about it. It makes my life easier.
Love the off button tip. Not for going outside because I dont want to see most of the basement dwellers on the streets anyway. But definitely when you see something you dont like. If you dont like it, go somewhere else. Lol.
Cntr + F, you find really fast the letter or the word that you're looking for. When you can't open 3D graphics on Adobe Acrobat, you just click inside of your PDF document and it starts 3D objects.
number 8 can get even easier! just hold shift and right click into the folder, now in the context menu there is an option to open command prompt in that folder
Sometimes on the weekend, I listen to Kim Komando. But she is nothing but a Infocommercial. She really doesn't give good advise as much as she's pushing products. I'm saying you need your own weekly show because it would be hard to do everyday or Monday to Friday. Or maybe a spot on "FOX News" or some other major news network. A 5 minute spot and maybe answer some tweets and talk about current virus issues. I see you wear an occasional Google shirt, so I hope they are sponsoring you. You're a good teacher.
ok, i know that number 15 was a satire to the trolls, I like that, but number 13 about the shutdown context menu, I am kind of happy that Microsoft kept this, gives a throwback to Windows 95
There is a much easier way to not get any ads when you install a program, and doing it my way requires almost no reading at all, I go by the "if the decline button works, click it" logic, you see, usually the wizard makers just greys out the decline button when it is a required step to installing the program, and if it's not greyed out but still a required step it will just move you back to the previous page, not cancel the installation, so always click the decline button. =)
Love ThioJoe! Please make a video on how to copy/paste and other tricks from the Lenovo IdeaPad 320. Stuck with this after my Chromebook kicked the bucket. I'm still confused with this computer and miss my chrome/google.
i found the last one hilarious and the second to last one was the only one i didnt already know and it will be usefull as i have had the issue it solves many times
Right-click drag is a way to inadvertently delete files. Always Copy/Paste files. Confirm they have been copies to the new location. Then delete them from the original location
1 - right click drag
2- text selection
3- chrome in-site search
4- ctrl shift T(really Joe?)
5- loop CZcams video
6- change website content
7- Windows key tab
8- easy command line prompt
9- how to get your computer fixed
10- avoid installation junk
11- Gmail undo send
12- modify Gmail account
13- bypass 'shut down and update'
14- tab in the text field
15- off button
Your time is precious :-D
How would this list save any time?
Epic and Awesome reading your list just saved me 15% on car insurance 👍
if we know about them ,we can skip them. bro whats the last option
fuk
Thank you! I needed a visual summary to remember some of these!
loved the last tip
Never knew a kids channel would comment in a thiojoe video
Ok even me
I went outside. It was full of people and weather. Blech.
Ew
Yeah same. It weirded me out so much I just went back inside.
😂🤓
Some people actually use computers to work, not just Fazebook
My best tip is to never use a vacuum cleaner when cleaning your PC. It might suck out your BIOS firmware.
Dont want to suck up all your favorite sites
dont use bleach either,,it kills the eprom too
Great video! I learned a lot! I wish you would have put a summary list in the description. it would've help me remember the tips. I need to see things in writing to help remember them. So I'm going to rewatch and write them down
15th one was best
Can you tell me a bit more about this "Outside world" thing
Outside you will have access to these amazing and useful features; real people, pure oxygen produced by trees (I'm not going to go into detail about trees), physical shops to buy physical objects such as water and food! I personally really like food.
The Aliens outside world have realy good graphics but story is shit
Survivalisbest unhackable, I'm intrigued. How much does it cost to install this feature?
It's free, now go outside
Survivalisbeslhackable
That last tip might actually be my favorite. I've seen so many comments from toxic people that decided to complain and gripe if I were to, for instance, mislabel a computer part because it was 2am and I was tired. These idiots come straight up with "You obviously have no idea what you're talking about!" as opposed to the obviously more helpful and simple, "Hey. I think you made a mistake, I think the correct thing is..."
Chris Phillips YOU FUCKING IDIOT YOU PUT A PERIOD INSTEAD OF A COMMA AFTER "Hey" SMFH!!!!!
I know, right? I'm fucking dumb and should probably find a hole to die in. That's the only option.
Chris Phillips lmao
You obviously have no idea what you're talking about!
But the "outside" is full with hidden loading screen, like taking the elevator, buss, train, and the big one "sleeping".
Yemto - I thought the "sleep" was a bug
Sleep is like hibernation, shutdown, power saving mode and dreams are like a screensaver.
...and real bugs and viruses etc XD
This is one I use a lot: Ctrl + Arrow Keys (Left and right). It moves the typing cursor word by word, instead of letter by letter. And Shift + Arrow keys lets you highlight letter by letter, instead of having to use the mouse. And then, Crtl + Shift + Arrow keys highlights word by word.
IT WORKS, THE OFF BUTTON ACTUALLY WORKS!!!
If it did you wouldn't be here right now...
which one bro?
means sleep button?
fuk
The "outside" graphics are terrible, I hear these weird notifications coming from these feathered things??? Where is the help menu for this "outside"!!!! Help!!!
CTRL+SHIFT+T also works in Firefox, very handy tip! The right click to copy option is one I use a lot as left click and dragging will default to move if it is on the same device, where as you may only wish to copy and that is where right clicking comes into play.
I bet literally NONE of you knew ANY of these
first like
ThioJoe I'm done
I know them all
ThioJoe hey what's up guys it's thiojoe here
ThioJoe knew 5 of them
For the reopening closed tab tip @ 2:45, you can also right click the tabs area and will be in the drop-down menu.

Erm That "Off Button" sounds like a great Idea but you did tell me where To find it? I've been stuck in front of this PC for 7 years! Never realised I could just switch it off and go outside!
A great mix of informative and hilarious. This is why I'm subscribed.
The first tip saved my life Wow now the left button can take a break
joe, here is a tip for your followers that are comcast customers. if after dropping their cable box remote it no longer accepts commands from buttons being pressed then do this. pull the batteries out one at a time and reinsert them properly. dropping the remote causes the batteries to come slightly ajar. i suggested this to comcast snd they were very happy that i told them this. i hope it helps people.
This was actually really helpful/ interesting! Thanks man
I'm glad you mentioned number 10. Don't know how many people who comes to me with a computer problem, after installing bloatware that slows down their pc.

This video should be titled "I work in IT and I am tired of helping you"
actually joe i don't know how can i thank you .. without your tutorial and tips i would be in an ocean searching for some creativity
You know you're early when you're getting a notification about the video you're watching right now.
I love number 15 :) I am about to go outside right now!
you rock man.
and all of your tricks were usefull.
I knew some, but the triple click, drag right, shift tab, and that outside one I didn't know. Though for the life of me I can't imagine why anyone would want to use that last one.
So for bringing me information I didn't already have, that's earned a Like. Props, Joe
are these tips valid in India?
No
no none of them xD
moron
i think the last one
Holy shit! Nobody's ever said this before!
The off button works for me. Amazing!
12:32 looks like the Windows XP desktop.I guess going outside means downgrade to Windows XP.
The CMD one is worth the price of admission all on its own. Nice tip.
Amazing
holy crap, i didn't know about that outside feature! thanks so much dude! (yes i just assumed your gender, what are you gunna do about it?)
great 15 tips! thanks for sharing
Is this the legit thio joe or the classic thio joe?
SHKmaster1 exactly what I'm wondering
SHKmaster1 legit
SHKmaster1 1-14... Legit; 15 hmm...
SHKmaster1 mixed I would say
Since number 15 is fake and doesn't exist, definitely classic
"OFF BUTTON" - and I was waiting for you to talk about this new/old feature. I actually replayed that section before I said to myself "duh! - Caught me". BTW, I like your posts.
12:30 hhahahha welll JOE its 2020 and there is a virus outbreak my guy we CAN'T go/use the feature "outside"
2:40 I closed a tab while watching your video and reopened chrome, it definitely works!!!!!!!!!!
Make ThioJoe a meme again
Very useful. I am a tech enthusiast and I didn't know about a lot of these. Thanks!
step recorder could be good for item 9
Just LOVE the "Off button" !
Tip 13(shut down without updating)
**Laughs in Linux**
That Bypass Update tip is a lifesaver man!!
u better keep your tips with u ur tips destroyed my PC
Good thing they abbreviate "personal computer." You would have had a hard time spelling it.
you were the one that was stupid enough to actually do what he says
The Ranting Gamer yeah I was
No they didnt
Joe.. It'll be a while before people are sure if you're joking or not. Isn't much that can be done about it. I loved your old videos, but I love your new videos even more. I'm an IT field tech and you are the only tech guy I listen to on CZcams. Keep up the good work.
I wish I could convince my students to "go outside" or even taking a break for 15 or 20 minutes after a couple of hours of working or playing
Thank you, this is a very helpful tutorial video. This is a very useful video for beginner computer users; this video displays the basic on how to open programs, as well as how to manage them. Thank you!
Off button -- "GREAT TIP". Just got back from the beach myself/w grandkids..Keep up the great work.
I use a free program called ShortKeeper that can trigger any windows shortcuts plus any other shortcuts that you want to create by using your own custom hotkeys which makes it easier to trigger and much more powerful!
Love the "off" button. That is great! Outside... what an idea.
You can hold ctrl, shift, or ctrl+shift while dragging to copy, move or create a shortcut, respectively.
You've gotten 100% more charismatic recently... I love it.
You forgot to mention the most amazing thing, which is called RWVR. It's an incredible experience, for all your senses, either it's eyes, ears, felling, taste, smell, etc, it's so amazing real you will not be able to tell if you're sitting in front of the computer or somewhere else...

like the going outside part, thats great
Ha. Your preface to #15 was getting me really intrigued and excited. Wasn't disappointed at the reveal, though.
--Someone Who Actually Does Go Outside
The off button is awesome!
Super fun and helpful! Thank you, Joe!
I knew these things years ago, is nice to have someone to inform about this "basic" things. 12:18 nice touch.
Hi ThioJoe! What screen recording software did you use? Thanks!
6:00 you can also hold shift and right click and 'open command prompt from here' option
8:30 Outlook or Thunderbird used to have a RECALL function, which would allow to undo your sent mail, it the recipient hasn't read the mail by the time you realize your sent mail was wrong. It wouldn't always work since a mail may have different persons being sent to, some may have already read it, others not.
I love the off button! What a great idea!!!
I actually went outside once and it’s great! Thanks. (Can you do that twice?)
I really like this video concept. Even if the old ThioJoe was kind of funny, you found a nice way to present useful informations with a briant pinch of amusement. Big Up!
As a web developer on the side the design mode thing will speed up my work 10 fold. holy crap how didn't I know about this.

Great Vid - The off button feature - best thing I've heard in a long time🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
the last one most people will not understant, thank you
the first 14 tips were nice but that last one, man, loved it
hahaha
nice video Thio!
Cntr + F, you find really fast the letter or the word that you're looking for.

I really start to enjoy the new ThioJoe!
Great video! 👍🏻
ok, i know that number 15 was a satire to the trolls, I like that, but number 13 about the shutdown context menu, I am kind of happy that Microsoft kept this, gives a throwback to Windows 95

A variation of the "off" button is the "walk away". I find that pretty useful since I don't even have to push a button.
Vivaldi uses gestures for navigation. It's really worth learning them.
that design trick was awesome
Whoa, that off button is awesome, just discovered it with your video xD ;)
Thank you so much for number 15, most useful one!!!!
nice tips, thx. also Windows should have a feature to customize folders as easily as FolderChanger. Google "FolderChanger", works great
The last one was the best one . Hands down
For number 8, you can also go to the address and hold shift and right click somewhere in the folder and then click on "Open command window here".
Love ThioJoe! Please make a video on how to copy/paste and other tricks from the Lenovo IdeaPad 320. Stuck with this after my Chromebook kicked the bucket. I'm still confused with this computer and miss my chrome/google.
I only knew 15 of them. Thanks!
OMG U SOLVED MY PROBLEM I WANTED TO MOVE A FOLDER IN ANOTHER FOLDER AND U SOLVED IT THX
that 15's tip was pretty helpful
Nice! Just left you other comments for you to consider!
yay background music is back!!!
my life is now completed!!!
thank you ThioJoe, best CZcamsr ever!
the last one is the best honestly
i found the last one hilarious and the second to last one was the only one i didnt already know and it will be usefull as i have had the issue it solves many times
The trick with typing 'cmd' in the address bar in File Explorer also works for powershell and pwsh.
Right-click drag is a way to inadvertently delete files. Always Copy/Paste files. Confirm they have been copies to the new location. Then delete them from the original location
That last one did it for me, I could not stop myself laughing my head off!!!
