    If you ever move to a free state, get yourself an X-grips adapter for the USPc and you can carry a 17 round P30 mag in it without the gap.
    The P30 LEM has a better reset than the DA/SA but it’s still the worst reset of the HK pistols. I got mine upgraded with a grayguns short reset kit and it puts the reset where the HK45 and USP LEM resets are. Huge improvement and no loss of reliability.
    Enjoyed the video. Stay safe!

      Thanks. A move to a free-er state is in the planning stages but behind enemy lines for the time being.
      I've used an xgrip on my p2000sk with the usp-c mags, but haven't tried it with the p30 ones yet.
      I'm intrigued by the p30 in lem. I've never handled one, and definitely never handled one with trigger work. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement over stock.

    H&K has the best trigger via their LEM system! Try it! Yes, it will need time & and training, but you'll never look back

      A Hk45c LEM is in my waistband at the moment. Agree, it's a great trigger system. I converted mine from the DA/SA version a handful of years back. I think it takes less overall training than learning a DA/SA trigger from scratch. If you're used to the former, the light pull can take some getting used to if you're expecting a heavy DA for your first shot.

      Great thing - hammer fired without trigger transition [i.e. double/ single] & capability to double strike remains.

    The trigger reset on the P30 is like the SIG P-Series before SIG developed the SRT trigger or a Beretta 92 standard reset before Langdon Tactical developed the Optimized Trigger Bar with short reset. Honestly, I think trigger reset is overblown these days.

    • @rjg02005
      @rjg02005  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I've shot the SIG P-series triggers before and agree on the feel. I also agree that trigger reset is overblown - most of it seems to be coming from people who don't take the time to really shoot their guns and just pump out "reviews" on loaner guns.

      I have the talon rubber grip on mine. I used to have the sandpaper grip but pulled that off in favor of the rubber. Love it! The stock grip is slick.

      Please let me know. I like the smaller frame glocks but the big ones never worked too well in my medium hands. I had the 45C at the range this morning, as a matter of fact. Love it even more every time I shoot it. When I rush or get lazy, it punishes me, but if I focus and do my part, I find it's one of my best shooting pistols; full-stop.

      @@rjg02005 So I got this done this morning and I have to say the the G21 is bigger grip wise than I remembered. The extra rounds are nice but honestly the HK45C is so much more comfortable in the hand. Also it was my 1st time shooting the LEM trigger and I am a fan. Needs some work to get the speed and accuracy up but I like it a lot. So nice to not have that very long and hard SA pull on the 1st round. Hope that helps. Also I now need to find a threaded barrel for it.

    P30 trigger vs. the VP9/40? Thoughts, comparisons? Thanks

    • @rjg02005
      @rjg02005  Před rokem +1

      I'm probably in the minority but I prefer the P30 DA/SA. The VP9 is decent, and better than a glock, IMO, but I shoot the P30 DA/SA surprisingly well, despite a poorer "feel." Then again, last time I pulled the trigger on a vp9 was about 4 years ago, so maybe things have changed. Both are solid guns.

    • @andog6092
      @andog6092 Před rokem +1

      The p30 is better, ever person who has shot my duty p30 has always said it seemed spongy dry firing it, has absolutely loved it. Actually had one person who tried it, turned around went into the store and traded his glocks off for one.

    • @rjg02005
      @rjg02005  Před rokem

      @@andog6092 I guess that further shows that trigger feel in a gun shop does not equate to a gun's ability to put lead on target. I had my 45C out at the range yesterday and it was able to outshoot three of my glocks (32, 27, and 43). I'd bet all three are similarly mechanically accurate (maybe the hk by a bit) but the human interface with the rest of the pistol, not just the trigger, is a huge factor in accuracy.

      OK so in that case P30 V1 LEM or DA/SA? Thanks

    • @rjg02005
      @rjg02005  Před rokem

      @@astroidother3609 I have a slight preference toward the LEM, but if I found a good deal on a DA/SA version, I wouldn't pass it up. You just need to become good with the two trigger pulls in a DA/SA gun vs the consistent pull of an LEM.

    As much as I love all of the various HK’s I have, I have yet to buy any variations of the P30-I think the trigger is the worst I have felt on an HK. Maybe it was just the particular P30 pistols I tried?

    • @rjg02005
      @rjg02005  Před 2 lety +3

      It's the least pleasant HK trigger I've felt, but I still shoot it better than many other guns I've put significantly more trigger-time into, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

      Thomas, very easy fix. A 11 pound hammer spring works wonders ovr the stock 15.
      If you are handy, the drop in Gray guns reset is an absolute must.

      The p30 trigger is its downside. I bought all of my p30’s in LEM, then installed the gray guns short reset. This combo makes it a bit better, but still requires some time to get proficient with. Once you do though, you’ll love it.

      CT isn't a fun place to live considering the BS gun laws they have, but it's home. If everyone left, who'd be left to fight?
      There are a surprising number of people who blindly vote for gun rights restrictions, despite never having been to the range or even been given the chance to hear our side. I'd like to think that a large percentage of people can be shown how asinine anti-gun legislation has become.

      @@rjg02005 If you look at the voting map of a state like California, most of the state votes red but the liberal meccas like LA, San Diego and San Francisco turn the state blue every time.
