I don't know if diving in that water is going to strengthen your immune system or if it will make you sick, but Wim much respect for doing that!
I'd at least put alcohol in my ears before and after. There can be those deadly amoeba type creatures in the water, can kill ya. Alcohol is not a perfect solution, but it can help.

I love the camaraderie between all the magnet fishers. What great attitudes and helping each other in the process.
Huge props to Tim for proper trigger and muzzle discipline with that firearm, even before realizing that it was chambered. Even without the magazine, there is a fair chance that the gun would have fired (or exploded) if the trigger had been pulled. Tim exhibited the exact proper way to handle finding a firearm in a situation like this, I hope other magnet fishers are as careful.
Just a thought, could a magnet in a specific position inadvertently pull the trigger ?

Hold up , my family are refugees from the genocide of bosnia and had asked someones grandmother to hold onto to some things as my mom and dad went back to bosnia for a week to see if life was sustainable then. Bad part is the number and name of your grandma was in a notepad that was confiscated by the boarder guards as suspious for having out of country numbers as other identical ones were kept for the tunnel in the beseiged town of srbrenica. But yall can keep it we made new memories and wealth in our new home of saint louis nissouri.... ( funny i even own that exact model pistol , and it stays in bosnia as it was smuggled in during genocide as an assination gun , wont speak to much more on that besides that it was legally attained by a family member who was military and italiy and yugoslavia did alot of shady buizness back then) anyways our families heirlooms should be sold and proceeds sent to ukraine. If done otherwise you will experience a stubbed pinky toe no less then twice a day and once a night.)

I think that German made butcher's cleaver is probably the most valuable thing you found. Depending on the specific brand, it could be worth up to $50.
Being from Florida, I have to keep reminding myself that there are no alligators in these canals so I can relax a bit watching this!

@@michwas7270 It might look dirty due to having mud layer at the bottem, but if you would check water quality. it's often cleaner then bright water where you look all the way to the bottem.

Wow, an Aussie magnet fishing in the Netherlands. (I'm a half-Dutch Aussie, so this grabbed my attention straight away, lol.) I definitely wasn't expecting to see this, tonight. Normally I'm watching guys in the US find things, cars... & missing people's remains... in water. So, this was rather different tonight. I thought this environment looked quite different... and when you started speaking with your Aussie accents, then everyone else with Dutch accents, that definitely was different. Well, that certainly was entertaining. I'm glad locals are trying to clean up that filthy - yet beautiful looking - waterway (canal, river, creek - ?) All the best. Wild video! Here in the States, we tend to think of the Netherlands as the place you go for picturesque canals, great chocolate, beautiful flowers, and friendly people. Obviously every country has crime but it's interesting seeing things being pulled up I'd more expect to see coming out of the water in like Camden or Elizabeth (I'm from New Jersey lol). That alarm gun looks like it was based on a Polish P64 police pistol; I've heard there's similar problems in the UK with prop and/or alarm pistols meant only to fit blanks being converted to fire one or two live rounds as a cheap gang weapon.

A week has passed and Bondi continues his daring adventure on the green river with dinosaurs. Keeps pulling crazy things out of the water. I would give anything to be next to these guys on their crazy adventures right now! We would turn this river upside down, raise all its deep secrets! And then, in a friendly atmosphere, in some pub, they would discuss the found artifacts and plan further adventures!

GUN SAFETY : Please remind everyone to point the gun toward the ground AWAY from everyone else. You never know if a jammed / stuck mechanism might become undone (due to being pulled out of mud or other stuck items and magnet hitting it...) and fire any stuck bullets. I find it crazy as tax payers we still pay for water cleanings that never get cleaned. So to see a lot of divers and magnet fishers and adventurers basically clean areas that shouldve been done already is heartwarming and gut wrenching.

I have family from Wedde, Netherlands where there's a castle called Burcht Wedde. There's still the original moat around it that could be very interesting to magnet fish.

just a heads up, even if the magazine is out of the gun, a bullet can still be in the chamber and fire. It made my heart jump to see the gun accidentally pointed at people around you while it was still potentially armed. In the future, pull the slide back so you can look in the side of the chamber to make sure there is no bullet ready to be fired. Good work regardless cheers!
Most Aussies don't understand guns therefore don't understand gun safety.......this is why it's best to speak to Europeans, Americans and Canucks about guns.

Just a suggestion. Why don’t you keep a running total of the value of your findings throughout each year, resetting at the beginning of each year and then you can see your progress year over year? Or maybe even monthly. I would watch every video for that.
