Not an awful career now. And actually he had one bad season in a short career. As a high school coach of several decades, I’d take his 100 mph fastball and 90 mph changeup. And currently a 1.17 ERA. He’s a tough and courageous kid. But, like many pitchers, consistency is the key. We’ll see if that emerges. He’s trending up. And only several years in the Bigs.
Career stats are terrible. Over 5 ERA, 36 hits allowed in 42.1 innings pitched and his WHIP is 1.37. Kapler is a numbers guy but I won’t be surprised if he still uses him in the late innings.
Andrew Vargha It’s only been 2 seasons and while his 2020 was horrific his numbers for 2019 are decent. Hard to call it an awful career when it’s just one horrific year derailing everything. I’d give it at least another season or something
Andrew Vargha fair enough I suppose. Interesting though that his FIP this year is lower than his FIP last year despite the inflated ERA. Don’t know exactly how to interpret that but it’s something to note.
@@connerbv1209 It's saying that he got unlucky to have as high of an ERA as he did. However, a 4.76 FIP is still really bad and not playable in the big leagues.
@@bendsomemetal He walks 5 guys per 9, doesn't have an elite k rate, is already 27, and has a 5.74 career ERA. He is awful, and his stuff obviously doesn't play because nobody chases it. He's got mediocre spin rate on all of his pitches too. For him to be good at the major league level, he's gonna have to find a control he never has before, seeing as he's been walking 5 guys per 9 at every level of the minors too.
His pitching ability really took a knee
Yes but he didn't. He's a good man
he's either hitting guys or pumping it down broadway. decent middle reliever on any team!
He's now a good 8th inning guy for the Phillies.
4:07 really summarizes everything
It's sad that about half of this just shows how bad San Fran has been defensively over the past few years.
Giants defense has been a lot better than this video makes it look. Dubón and Yaz are both good outfielders
Cant throw strikes, cant miss bats. Enjoy him in Philly, good riddance.
@@seani9517 we are enjoying him thanks
He’s actually been really good with the Phillies so far. Key word: so far. Let’s see what happens later in the year.
1.13 ERA so far
@@shermanngjazz that's good or bad
Dude looks good for the Phillies now, he just didn't fit with the Giants.

I was right about him. Awful.
You should do Kenley Jansen World series experience video next.
Dude needs some coaching from Robb Nen. For some reason his windup reminds me of Nen lol
He’s got great stuff but he gets SOOO predictable
I know bro in the Padres game in the double header when we brought him in I knew he was gonna blow it
He has been improving.
He did not
00:34 if you play this over and over, looks like he is dancing 🕺

Enjoy him Phillies, he's all yours
Yup! Farhan making great moves
He's actually a good fit for Philly, but the Giants looks OK for now, so win-win for both sides.
I think they are enjoying him😂 he’s dominating 1.1 era
@@Jhart44 I know! I'm stunned, he was terrible in SF, but seems to have figured things out for now.
@@gifthuizlikegod yeah kinda crazy
This guy wasnt very good but he’s got so much promise
Coonrod a 1.00 era and 19 ks in 16 games. A courageous kid with much potential. (No replies read)
Title seems a little harsh lmao.
I don't know how else to describe a 5.74 ERA.

17 k’s, 2 walks, 1.38 ERA, 0.67 WHIP through 13 innings with the Phillies. Yeah he’s awful. 🙄
I was obviously right that he was awful. Feel free to apologize.
@@andrewvargha7522 I'm not gonna apologize, he was injured the entire season. I'll apologize when hes healthy and doesnt perform.
Half of these were errors tho lol
I am going to guess primarily posted this because he’s a MAGA dude.

How about the fact that he was just awful.
