I want to be comic book writer, I was under control of a violent, narcissistic and controlling brother. Everytime I draw he would interrupt and control what it did, 20 years later I have the freedom to draw now, but I was conditioned to put off my dream for other problems, so while I blame every problem on why I can't get a issue done, but the more I work on my project I realize I'm replicating what I escaped, just remember if you like yourself, good things will come and you'll realize the only thing that matters in your goals, kids, etc. 2 years on my own and just not understanding I always had control. can't control your feelings, good luck finding what make you whole. Long ugly path you must get through, although understanding yourself, ripping off the ego and defense may feel like a death sentence, it's better to take a leap and die than to lead a life of misery.

Ever since I was about 3, I struggled with anger. At the age of 6, I had gotten myself expelled from my local elementary school. I remember the time I got angry at my brother (he was 16 and I was 7 at the time) and we were playing football with my older cousins. I was calling for the ball and they wouldn’t pass. I started to get worked up and I picked the ball up. My brother let’s call him Jack, picked me up and started to tickle me. He then tipped me upside down and started jumping up and down. Now Lucia, my cousin tried to take the ball whilst jack was busy tickling me. I ended up so mad at him, and my dad had to take me to *HOSPITAL* because I had fainted after being so angry.
Now I am 12, and my brother still does the same sort of stuff to me, but I can manage it much better than I used to.

I have been seeing a therapist for three years now, and I think I’m going to mention this to them. Now I’m just sitting her scrolling through anger issue videos and trying to get my life together. I have extreme anger issues that were so bad that I had to teach myself how to handle them and even now I don’t think it’s enough. Normally when you look at me, you’ll see a bright, happy social girl. But when I get angry, the first thing I want to do is tear everything apart.
    Basically I go through what I call stages of my anger. The first stage is me beginning to feel the anger build up. In that moment, I try not to focus on it. Stage two is when I really start to feel angry but I try very hard to hold it in and keep people from noticing. Stage three is basically when I rage. When I get like this, I want to tear apart whatever I can get my hands on. Although I have to try super ultra mega hard to keep my physical anger to a minimum, but on the inside, I just want to rip something apart. That’s always been the only thing that has ever calmed me down. Basically, if I get angry at home, I go straight to my room and I start beating up one of my pillows, biting it and flipping bunny kicking it like a cat. I genuinely don’t like it when I do this. Everyone always tells me bull poop like “take deep breaths! Count to three! Focus on something else!” None of that works. I’m on the higher functioning area of the autism spectrum and I can’t control half of what I do. I’m in middle school, so I have to make extra sure I keep my voice down and keep my desire to destroy something to its lowest, but what bugs me is that on the inside, I want to rip someone’s spine out and play a violin with it. Any advice would be helpful, because I know that relying on destruction and tearing things apart really isn’t a good way to help my anger ;-;

You seem self-aware and we need to intervene at stage 1. Can you play a song that will help to change your mood? Does journaling help to get things down on paper, not that you would ever show them to someone, but to get your feelings out. How about naming the feeling and understanding why it is triggering the anger. I hope you can get some help, there is so much that can be done with your self-awareness.

I go to the washroom then scream- litterally just screaming, swearing about why im angry and its class time so no one is there, when im done i check in the mirror to see if it looks like im crying. If it does, i stay there for my eyes to go normal again then i leave and pretend nothing happened 😃 im too scared to tell my parents, i once told my mum that i cant control my anger and she just said “well you better learn how to! You might kill someone in the future like this” and since then i have never spoke about it to anyone and tried my best to calm myself down or just punch myself or something like that untill i have alone time to scream 😃

Glad i came across this video by accident. I have had anger problems most my life. But over the years have learned various ways to deal with my emotions.
One of the most severe incident happened 5 yrs ago while out of state on a business trip, i was referred to an anger management class by my employer at the time because they thought highly of me as a very good employee that goes above and beyond. I had brought my grandmother who at the time was battling cancer and other illnesses mostly caused by her heavy alcohol and tobacco use all her adult life, a 15 or 20 dollar prepaid gift card and mailed it to the hospital where she was staying. A week or so later when she received it, she criticized me telling me the amount on the gift card wasn't enough to buy her cigarettes and whatever else. This was on my lunchbreak while sitting in my truck. I flew into a fit of rage, screaming at the top of my lungs, cussing her and threatening to kill her and her family if it were not for me being out of state. I then smashed my cellphone right through the driver's side window of my truck.

#3. I sometimes would like to get in a fight. But, the thought of going back to prison, and losing my family. Stops me. I just want to learn how to not let things bother me so much. Even if I do have the right to be angry.

E Y, deal with the primary emotion, the annoyance, so you don't go to anger. Check out my blog at www.drpauljenkins.com/blog. There was an article on this just this week.

I feel like My niece and my younger brothers are afraid of me. Even when I'm just walking beside them or just look at them they'll feel uneasy and even sometimes they'll flinch. My anger is out of control that sometimes i tend to hurt them so bad and i also hurt my self, like pinch my self, cut and punch myself. At first i thought i was just being too emotional and irritable but I'm aware and i know that almost stabbing someone is nooooooooot fine. So I'm searching for ways that could help me calm down.

Find out what resources are available to you, insurance, through school, etc. You will be much happier and have more positive relationships when this is under control.

J C, I wonder why you are angry at the world when you say your family caused the hurt. Don't make others pay for things they are not guilty of. This shift might make the world easier to live in and with.

@@LiveOnPurposeTV Maybe the way i worded my comment was weird but i am not the kind of person to hurt others, be it friends, partners or strangers. What i meant is that sometimes i get feelings of hopelessnes, why did i had to live through abuse as a child. I was innocent, others were granted a better life. Its more of a why me, univerese/god question. These days ive been feeling better and better but sometimes i would get triggered and those kind of depressive thoughts come back

minorguy admin, I hope this video helped you then. If you find yourself getting upset while playing video games, are you willing to play them less? Or less intently? As for being taken advantage of, you may find some value in this video: "How To Develop Assertiveness" - czcams.com/video/mr2Y2gAYqn8/video.html. Thank you for watching.

I Searched for this to understand if my mom had anger issues, because she always yells at me and gets mad for stupid reasons, not just with me but in all social contexts. Well, apart from the regret one (she has just NO REGRET) and the obvious "searched for this video" one, she has all of the signs. I want to help her but when I try she gets mad at me saying that she doesn't need help and that I don't trust her when I answer by offering help instead.

This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about "how to overcome anger" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Meyaarn Unprecedented Magic - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good exclusive product for discovering how to get rid of your anger issues minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got excellent success with it.

I don't think I have an anger management issue, but I struggle to stop myself from yelling whenever I do get angry.
I really don't want to, but I sometimes just can't stop myself. Living in student housing, I know how annoying it can be when others are loud, so when I have had people knock on the wall before, I get really embarrased and ashamed. This has happened three times in two years, and I fear I could get really angry again any time. I generally don't yell at people, so I don't think it hurts my relationships, but I do frequently yell at small things that frustrate me such as my computer not working, me being clumsy and dropping things, or a video game feeling unfair.
One habit I have found can help is repeatedly tapping the head of a bobble- head figure I have, and watching its head bounce around. That isn't always an option however, as I can't always bring it with me, and usually forget to use it.
The vast majority of advice I have found is just "breate" or "count to 10", and I find that really unhelpful. I really just feel like my best bet is to try to find another habit (like tapping my bobble- head) that is easier to perform anywhere at any time.
