Just wanted to tell everyone here to be patient - I had my nose done Feb 1st, 2023 and was horrified and regretted it after the cast came off.. I was so depressed because I could see my nostrils and I looked like a pig! Today, Feb 26th, I am starting to like my nose. It came down so much and the swelling is going away. I am still swollen and the tip is still stiff but I am feeling better about it now. Please be patient guys,, I promise it will come down and it’s only a matter of time. I have thick skin btw. Hello, you have no idea how your comment make me feel full of hope..I did my surgery on the 22nd of February 2023 and my tip is ridiculously upturned, my nostrils are so obvious and literally look like a Pig.. I refuse to go out without my mask on because I don't want people to make fun at me..I'm so glad I found your comment

T, I know the feeling. I remember watching/reading anything I could find on the internet all day and night to find anything that would tell me - my nostrils will get narrower, my nose wouldn’t look so upturned, and that I’ll look normal and myself again… and yes, as many will tell you, one week is basically ground zero on the healing process.. it will change. I thought my case was worse than everyone too..

Oh right! I was finding it difficult to find a rhinoplasty surgeon because I felt like every surgeon gave their patients too much an upturned nose for my liking, but after this video I realise that noses always look like this immediately post-surgery. This will help we find my surgeon, thank you 🙏🏽

It slightly came down but the Doctor said wait at least 6 months, other girl who had rhinoplasty said it took her 7 to 8 months before her tip came down, right now it's just a waiting game

I think its down a bit in my 6th week. Not parallel to the ground as men none should be. Will wait another 2 months and decide if i want to go for revision
Thank you, I have just had my cast off, and am very emotional and stressed. I wish I hadn’t had the procedure, but this video did help regain a little peace. I’m praying it drops after a few months, and will try to be patient.

I was 14 months post op and nose did not drop. If anything it became more upturned as it healed and the scar tissue made it looked even shorter and more upturned. I went in for a revision 4-14-23 requesting to have my surgeon extend and lengthen l nose to look not piggy

How much of a piggy nose was it? I feel like my nostrils are in full display and can’t help but be depressed about it (2 weeks post op)
Guys .....it is a game of patience. I am 3 weeks post op, and like u all, I wasn't sure when the cast came off. I am trusting the process and trying not to obsess.....thick skin takes longer than most to settle down. Have faith. I'm sure you all did your due diligence and did not jump into this willy-nilly 😊. So let's be patient and wait for our results❤

I can confirm that the tip drops significantly after 1-2 months. I’m a dude.

Don’t mind if I ask, did you have a short nose or long nose to begin with?
I’m day 20 post op and it definitely looked better than when I first had my cast off but it’s still very upturned 😢 I had a short piggy nose to begin with so I’m not sure if the drop applies to my case
@@tamkacheong I have a long nose. I think at month #2 is where I noticed a big drop. It’s even obvious from the photos too
how about swelling in the tip, and overall look of the nose? I am about two weeks in and it looks much smaller and upturned for me, when does it start to look good?

I’m day 40 post op, the tip definitely dropped a little bit because the swelling on top of the tip has resolved a lot, so making it appear less upturned.
However, I don’t really notice my columella graft coming down… the nasolabial angle is still a lot bigger than I like (at 115 degrees)… don’t know what I should do next 😢

I got a renoplasty 5 days ago and I'm freaked out, my nose tip looks huge, rounded and upturned.

@@xxXmmxx It came down at 3rd week, it is looking acceptable but not good yet.
The tip came down and reduced in size, but there is still swelling from the middle of the nose to the tip, which makes it curved. I didn't like it at all.
My surgeon told me that it will became straight after a while, so I'm still waiting.
I have a small nose front profile it's just a little wide up top bc it's broken lol but I'm afraid they will make my nose boxy (I want it round and smooth) and I want a curve down my bridge so that my nose looks good side profile but I don't want a piggy nose😭😭

I’m almost two months post op. My nose is still so piggy. I don’t know what to do. I feel even more uglier than before. I’m trying to be patient, but I don’t see changes. I am very scared. I think I will need a revision… Is that even possible? My surgeon used my septum as a graft. Can they lower it if in a year it’s still this upturned?

On my 17th day i damn my piggy nose i can see a bit of my nostrils. The tip is still stiff and rounded I hate myself when i look at the mirror my gosh. I hope this will go down eventually

I had mine done 8th February 2024, a lot of swelling has gone. The tip is still a little hard and stiff. And a little upturn. Is it normal to have a dip in the nose ?

I did close rhinoplasty just two weeks ago n I notice that the space between my upper lip and nose looks very wide. Can you please tell me if this is temperory. My upper lip is still stiff n I cannot smile the way I used to. Am really concerned about the wide space because I look bit weird. My nose tip is upturned too but after watching your video I feel bit relieved. Hope mine will drop too. But please tell me if the space will reduce or not. Will my columella graft come down? 😟

Can you perform a rhinoplasty that is more subtle? I want to have my surgery in Turkey but I've noticed every surgeon there uses the same technique. It's literally a cookie cutter nose. Always too small too pointy and very Barbie-like.
Can you use different techniques according to your patients desires? All I want is to remove the slight hump to straighten the bridge, and refine the tip of my nose slightly. I don't want a slope on my nose or a pointy one!
I agree with you 100% about the turkish noses. If you want that small doll-like upturned nose then go to turkey, otherwise I would advice to look elsewhere. Your nose is in the center of your face don't take any chances. Find a surgeon that makes natural looking noses, look through their photos that's very important.
I suggest Saudi Arabia. you may think it’s an unlikely place but they have tons of great nose surgeons who employ a more subtle natural approach. Dr Frida and dr Talal in the city of Jeddah. And their prices are very reasonable
id recommend you to go to dr naveed hes in the capital city of pakistan and literally fixed my botched nosw and made it look back to my original nose

I had a rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago and my nose is upturned and looks like a piggy nose. How long will it take for it to look normal. It looks straight up from the collumella.

@@rachy4276 It is still high and swollen on the tip, so far the dr has injected my nose on both of my visits with cortisone injections. I’m going to see him next week, he will most probably inject my nose again 🥹

@@rachy4276 Unfortunately, I have thick skin and that’s the problem. The sad part is that I feel the doctor should have explained the whole process, the psychological burden with this change more extensively. I did not have a problem with a big nose just that it was slightly hooked. So when I saw that he had pulled my nose up into a point this has really devastated me. But I shall wait and see at the end of one year. If I’m not happy I will have my nose re-done.

It gets smaller with time and the tip dropped a little bit which is amazing and no pig look anymore , so trust the process & your surgeon

I actually like the pig nose. So I guess if I wanted that look, right after rhinoplasty my nose will look extreme like a full on pig nose?
Yes because they even have to lift it higher. If I can give you a tipe is that you can better not go too extreme

Calm down guys, it will drop a lot. It’s normal and its because of swelling. Your whole fasces are swollen and it needs time to look like yourself again. But please don’t worry, i was at the same point and it changed so much 😊

Hi! It’s been 9 months, I do not have a “piggy nose” however I still wish it would come down more. My surgeon told me to wait until 12 months to determine if my tip went down enough or not. 😢 I don’t love the way my tip looks like it curves up from the side profile. I feel like a character from a Dr.Seuss book.
