I dont even know what to look for. I am a side and stomach sleeper mostly. I have very wide shoulders so i need a thick pillow for that. I like to sleep with my arm under my pillow, which raises my head, so pillow cant be too thick. to make it worse, i like to sleep on my stomach too, so a thick pillow is bad haha. I usually sleep with just the corner of the pillow, and my arm underneath it. i need to keep experimenting because i dont know what i need haha.

Thank you for this in depth review. Question though: in almost all pillow demonstrations, You placed your arm underneath the pillow which makes it difficult to see how much the pillow actually caves in when you place a full amount of "head" pressure on it. Not complaining just noticed it and wanted to mention it since not everyone sleeps with their arms/hands under their pillow. I know it gives the pillows a different look on video at least where we truly dont know how much they flatten when laid on, how firm they are etc etc. Thanks again for this awesome review though

Great question, and you're right - I do sleep with my arms under the pillow, and it does change the level of support. I address this in some of my other videos, however, I do go into greater detail about this in the written portions of my reviews. Under the "How Did You Like It, Sarah?" sections, I describe how the support/loft changes with and without the help of my arms. That said, I really appreciate the feedback, and will consider this moving forward!

Hi there! I am a combo sleeper who most of the time falls asleep in a position that is somewhat in between side and stomach. I tried the Eli and Elm pillow based off your best side sleeper pillow video and I found it too firm, even with half the stuffing pulled out. I found I like a very soft pillow, so I think that means I would like more compression? Would you say the Casper or the Pillow Guy would be softer?
What about cheaper options?
I'm grateful for the time you put into creating this :) I've always slept on standard Walmart pillows and am curious on how to decide between a down/down alternative pillow or memory foam? I like the pros of both from what I hear but don't have any experience with either pillow.. any input?? side note.. I sleep on back 75% of night and side the other 25%.. I prefer medium loft with cooling and something to rest my temples on while on my back. Thank you for any feedback :)
Both down and down alternative pillows offer a feel that's more feathery and plush, while memory foam offers more of that body-conforming support and deep sink into the pillow. Personally, I find memory foam pillows to be better for back sleeping as their ability to maintain shape throughout the night (without having to be fluffed like down) helps to support your neck and keep your spine in neutral alignment. I recommend finding a cooling memory foam pillow with medium loft, and perhaps a contoured center so that you can rest your temples. Which one is the overall best
Hey there! Because we are all built differently and have different sleep habits, I can't objectively say which is the absolute best. For me and my body, though, the Casper and the Avocado are truly fantastic all-position pillows. They are adjustable (each in different ways) and keep me supported in every sleeping position!
I wish they would make a cold pillow I'm tired of sleeping with an ice pack in my pillow
Hey Satan! I strongly recommend you get a pillow covered in phase change material (the Bear Pillow is a great example of this). Pillows made with PCM are designed to stay icy-cool all night long and, in my experience, it kind of makes the pillow feel like it's been refrigerated. So, give one of those a try and let us know what you think!
