A neighbor gave me my very first peace lily that she had repotted the same day. Overnight, it drooped dramatically. That was one week ago and the plant has not recovered. From what I have read, it seems that the soil is too wet. The stems are being damaged from the droop. Now the leaves are getting a bit crispy. Today I will go ahead and free the plant from the water-logged soil. I'll see what can be salvaged and get it into water (I have distilled on hand.) I wish I could post pictures! Thank you, Evelyn! You've given me hope!
I started growing my 18 inch tall Peace Lily in water. I had to prop it up with a small transparent plastic cup upside down to keep the ball up higher in the vase. Then the lecca balls from Amazon are floating on top of the ball of roots. I had 7 flowers before I started this 4 days ago. So far so good. It's constantly pollinating. I hope I continue to have great luck with so many flowers. I bought it Dec 24th and it only had 4 flowers. I've only fed it one time a few drops of plant food on 1 watering.

@@EvelynPerfect Thank you. It now has 3 new flowers that are popping out at the base of the roots. She is pregnant again with 3 more before the other 7 flowers even finish. I still also have two that are almost black with super green leaf behind it. I don't need to even take off any flowers that are dark green leaves now and not even white head anymore, she still is giving off new babies quickly. I also keep the humidity %40-50%. She is in my bathroom with the Amazon 65 Watt full spectrum 3 arm grow lamp and on 1 aims at her a 1 1/2 foot away. The temperature for her is always 72-73.5. I don't move her. The grow light stays on 24/7 for winter. So this will be 10 flowers now. She has not popped her 3 new ones. She is just bulging white out of her belly near the roots. So lets see how she does with now being in all water over time. Grow lights I bought just days before I adopted her. You know, whenever I repot my peace lilies, the leaves droop to the next level.
They probably need a bit of sunlight (not too much) and a good water and mist.

Hello, Evelyn! Nice plant! Believe me you will plant it soon)). I tried this method two years ago, plant was good only 3 moths, then the leaves turned yellow and roots started to rot.... Your choice of cause)). Happy growing!

This looks like propagations you have but eventually you will have to pot it up in a well loose but water retaining soil to have them grow bigger and healthy and as they can survive in low light ( low light doesn't not me no light ) but to have them grow faster with more foliage try a west or east facing window ( medium to high light ) but in indirect lighting ( not in the direct sunlight but away and still receiving good lighting )
Can you put a small root system into a big thing of water or must it be a smaller size glass?

How did they bottoms of yours not rot if it sat in the water? Also my baby propagation has roots growing a little high so I’m worried to stick a lot of it in and rot the ends
Hello kahri 👋 how are you, Why My *Peace Lily* root not rotting because I change the water frequently (I use *Rainwater* Only). And keep the *Lily roots* clean once the water being change.
I recommend to cut off those Unhealthy roots, to encourage the *Plants* keep growing.

My peacel lily was planted in soil for more than a 2years and was thriving well. But then all of a sudden i found leaves drooping. When i changed the soil, i found root rot, so i removed it from soil and separated the healthy leaves with roots and discarded the dead parts and then transplanted into water. After 2months it grew new leaves and i put it back into fresh new soil. Have it done it right? Is it ok to transplant from soil to water and back to soil again? Since i transplanted to soil a few old leaves turned yellow and i cut it off. The new ones are still alive. However, im yet to see new leaves after transplanted to soil.

i got a peace lily about a month ago and it had beautiful blooms but the pot that it came with bottom watered it with something called a water wick and it kept the soil very moist. later I figured out that it had some root rot so I would just cut off the bad roots and put it in some new soil. after a few days, the root rot came back. this time I double checked for bad roots, soaked the pot in bleach and water andput new soil but it still came back. I finally transferred it to water and put a little hydrogen peroxide with the water and it was still rotting. this is my first plant to have so I don't know a lot. I disinfected my scissors and used bottled water each time. right now I have the plant divided into propagations sitting in water and just today almost all the leaves have turned slightly yellow. im pretty sure my plant is stressed by now but i would just like to save it. i have no idea what to do now, does anyone have any advice?

I heard a snap in when take my lily apart. Did I do this wrong?
When I pulled mine apart I heard a loud snap as well. Truly thought I broke it to point of death. Planted them right in water and so far so good. This was 3 weeks ago. You should be ok my friend. I hope yours are golden.

My peace lilly just started dying ...all the leaves were turning yellow so i took the last two that weren't yellow and snipped them off at the base and put them in water....they are growing little roots now...hopefully I'll have a nice plant soon

Hey Cederic 👋 It’s defend on the care, plant make flowers when they are happy and the care they need meet. This Peace Lily bear flowers. And I have *Anthurium* grow in water too, they bloom all year round.
I add a tiny volume of fertilizer to the water, once a month from April to Sept and both my water lilies in soil and in water are flowering... I feel you may need fertilizer to feed water lilies time to time...
