I've been watching your videos and I hope it pays off tomorrow. I haven't played in years and there is a checker tournament at the high school tomorrow. I may be a complete novice, but hopefully I learned something from your videos. Thanks a bunch for the pointers!
Hi, I hope you do well in your tournament. Just take your time and have fun.
@lazimofo90 Thank you! I am glad you like it.
@gaughknee Thanks G.
nice video
hi
3:25 after 6-10 i thought it would be lights out for white but thats a BRILLIANT counter attack you thought of...you would have needed to calculate that not only red would not promote to the kings after all those moves made in the variation but also even to see the strategic idea is dramatic skill man
@Joedoom22 Hi Joe! When you opponent exchanges early he is opening the position. Some time that is good. Usually you exchange at key points of the game. The elements of time, space and force. When you opponent sets traps for you is good because you know you have to look ahead. Chances are they know some opening traps and look to set you up. Probably helpful for you would be Robert Pask "Starting out in Checkers" the book has combinations and ideas. Keep on going over the videos. Thanks
Respond to this video... I got the board and pieces from the American Checker Federation (ACF) web site. You go there and it is under the ACF store. I have another fancy board which I got from a Chess store in NYC. I hope you have Happy Holidays! George
Hello! Just wondering if you are still making videos. I truly enjoy your content.
Hi im not that good at checkers but i was wondering if you could give me some tips on what to do when your oponite likes to exchange early in the game and puts you in traps right off the bat.
1:11 it seems red is doing significantly better...
