I have a question, what if your opponent has his back (4,3,2,1-32,31,30,29) covered and you can not get a king because he wont move. Please help me!
Thank you I love your videos.

Very good question. " To try and retain your entire King Row means that you are trying to fight your battle with only eight checkers, your front line four men and your secondary four men. if your opponent brings out two men from his King Row, he has an attacking force of ten men against your eight, and will soon overcome your smaller force." Millard Hopper. To keep two men in the King Row, a man on square 1, and a man on square 3 for Red. With white, a checker on 32 and one on 30 gives the regular King Row protection. The standard King Row defense. If you just move one man out from your single corner area and retain the other 3 man in the King row, you have a strong defense because it is hard for your opponent to get a King. With Checkers there are always exceptions. To get a better understanding go over some of the opening game video, the Alma, Cross Opening etc. with the idea of looking at the opening, middle and end-game. Also try to work on tactics and combinations along the way. Thank you! P.S. If anyone would like to add to this please do so.

Thank you! I hope someday to learn the 10x10 international style. My friend Alex is currently working on the Flying Dragon style. You should be able to find some on You tube.
