- Lionhead has recently released a 6 track CD online containing three new songs from Fable 2, as well as three from Fable for free. This is the fifth track, called Summer Fields. Me & my best friend at the time ALWAYS played this game while I stayed at his house, drinking soda & eating junk food all night (I know it sounds horrible for kids, but still twas good memories for me still). This game has had an effect on me that others will not.

I like fable 1 the most.. Maybe cuz it was so original and usually thats just the way it is, but also i remember me and my brother playing it together (although I was more interested in watching him play it, i was like 8--) we recently bought the game again and all the memories comes back lol. This will always be my favorite theme. Part 2 will always be the best and the soundtrack along with it. I appreciate fable 1 so much, I'm glad that I had the availability to have memories with this game from my childhood. Such A beautiful masterpiece!

Love the music from fable 1 the lost chapters and fable 2. Man this is why fable 3 was a failure. The music. Remeber this song when you first game to the guild by Maze's room.

After listening to this I anna install it again lol.
The First Fable was such a beautiful mix of storyline, gameplay, sound, and emotion that it set the bar so high, it looks like Fable II is drowning. They changed everything, and in doing so they ruined the whole experience encorporated with the first game. The second game was no where near as much enjoyable as the first. The third better break both its predicesors in half if its anything near what lionhead can accomplish.
i spent weeks on the game (Fable 1) and the game was great, I never had a chance to play fable 2 or 3. This music reminds me of good times... The game makes the player dream a lot, but not only... I hated some parts of the game (cementary, ghost stories, zombies etc). In the end the game is full of little jokes and tricks to guess... I never found the dead princess near the haunted house... I spent hours trying to, even if that part is scary... it's a game OK... but it's art too!
It is from the first, the description says the 6 track CD contains three from Fable...not sure why it's titled Fable 2 music in that case though

@TheXboxGameMan Thats what I was thinking! I have all three soundtracks for Fable 1, 2, and 3 And I saw that in both Fable and Fable 2 Danny Elfman only wrote the themes... everyones complaining but what they don't realize is that when they are complaining they're actually technicnally complaining about both fables because Russell Shaw conducted both...

@alienation69 i believe that fable 1 and 2 were both great games. However, in Fable 2 the storyline was better for me. Also, Fable 2 music was more varied. For instance the old oakvale music was used as the marriage song. I still believe that fable 2 was every bit as magical as fable 1 eventhough it apeasled to 'Gun People' aswell.

What i think fable 2 is missing, its missing this song, it represents fable for me..
I just think F2 got a lot easier, to the point where the main story was too short and less strategy was involved than the first one. You could level up your magic, strength and skill so much easier it got to be boring instead of fun, however I think the music, open layout/free exploration and the sheer amount of side quests available made up for it.

this made me cry. the fable games (1 and 2 mainly) probably have the greatest music compositions ever created for a video game. i miss those games. bring back so many memories. not fable 3 though. that game sucked a dick

The best Fable game for me was Fable 2,because it was the first I played and I really enjoyed it,I actually cried when my Xbox got RROD,Fable 3 was okay,but I don't like the system.

@alienation69 fable 2's story was far more... 'real'. I think that the era with guns is far more exciting, the music in fable 1 was such as plaing a royal march for a pack of tramps. It was not needed. Also, fable 1 felt as though someone as telling a story to a five year old.. i mean jack of blades??? COME ON! i played fable 1 and had no idea how a sword could bring the end of albion! As for the guild... there has never been such a thing. Fable 1 seemed out of touch, i couldnt imagian it happen

so, even though F1 had a better story, better characters, and better music (the most important part to an RPG)....the fact that F2 had some cool graphics means it's better? You forgot to mention how easy the economy system F2 has and how rediculously easy combat gets in F2. (Dog was badass however) I give F1 a 9/10 F2 6/10
