- Best known as the choreographer for Gordeeva and Grinkov before going on to coach them and then of course reaching the pinnacle of ice dance by coaching Tessa and Scott & Meryl and Charlie to successive Olympic Gold Medals, here is Marina Zoueva with her ice dance partner Andrei Vitman, making her world debut in Tokyo in 1977.

I have never seen Marina compete, thank you so much for posting this.
Thank u. So interesting to watch a famous coach in her prime days.
Thank you. A very concise, modern but detailed choreography well performed.
Thanks so much for posting this precious clip! This program screams “Elena Tchaikovskaya!” from the beginning to the end-and it is fascinating that Ms. Zueva, as a coach/choreographer, appears to have invented her own original style without obvious Tchaikovskaya influence.
Once again, Floskate - thank you so much - how fascinating to watch. Great posture, really terrific choreography, sharply executed - I am envious of your ability to source these gems.
This is my first time to see this! No words adequate!!
Interesting to see such an influential coach during her skating days.
Gracefully
Очень интересная пара. Впервые вижу это выступление
I adore and am thankful to Marina for everything she has contributed to this exquisite sport! x ❤
Awesome routine!
omg wow! thanks for sharing :)
I enjoyed the middle part but I didn't care for the first and last part. Their style seems to be typical of many Soviet teams back then: a lot of sharp and quick movements that are designed to appear difficult.
Yep I was not a fan of the Tchaikovskaya school of ice dance. But it's all part of skating history and it's there to reflect and learn from. :)
@@floskate Very true. And I too was not a fan of the Tchaikovskaya school of ice dance.
@@floskate By the way, do you by chance know what Vitman is up to these days? We all know what Zueva does.
Зуева похоже на Моисееву как то
@@user-qf6vg5hp8v From a distance, I would agree that there would be a resemblance.
Пара дубль Линичук, Карпаносов. ..
competent but forgettable
100 percent :)
