- Amy Jo Johnson played the original Pink Ranger in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Even though she didn't stick around past Mighty Morphin, her journey was morphenomenal.
Kimberly Hart is one of the original five Power Rangers chosen by Zordon when Rita Repulsa attacked Earth following her release from containment. She, along with her close friends Jason, Zack, Billy and Trini, was one of the five teens chosen by Zordon to receive a great power, drawn from the spirits of prehistoric animals. Kimberly receives the Pterodactyl Power Coin and the Pterodactyl Dinozord, thus becoming the Pink Power Ranger.
Kimberly was also the first to be romantically involved with Tommy Oliver played by Jason David Frank.

To me Kimberly will always be my favorite Pink Ranger ever at first she reminded me of Sydney from Power Rangers SPD stuck up Valley Girl but then she changed that's why I didn't like Kimberly Hart at first until she changed her stuck up ways. Kimberly is the better picked as a Pink Ranger I like her fighting styles using her gymnastics in her karate style. Better fighter than Kat ever was. I still shipped Kimberly Hart with Jason Lee Scott just like I've shipped Trini Kwan with Zackary Taylor. I'm not sure if Jason and Kimberly had gotten together romantically in the Turbo Movie but their actions though out that movie told me otherwise who goes scuba diving with your friend or sister?

After finding out that tommy passed it effected me in an emotional level because growing up on power rangers his death broke my heart i lost already a batman that i knew & loved so much that it had an even stronger heart ache it hurt so much i broke down into tears one of my child-hood batman's that i idolize so much had passed away that i wanted to get an autograph from is no longer with us to this day i hope amy is alright I wish her best of luck losing someone isn't fun i should know i've lived that exact same pain so i know what it's like

I cry to when she did the interview on the fist day and posted on CZcams. It was the veery next day when they announced J.D.F. was dead. I was mad at him for how he went and was holding it in for I donât think my mom can understand for one of your favorite actors/fighter is dead. For I do have mental psychological illness to do I understand his feelings and met him
many times at cons. Jason even remembers me. I want to open up to him to ask how he was able to stay alive with all the things he went through and not give up. But that not going to happen because he gone. I know he will tell me not to give up and do my best to be strong and live on. But itâs not easy when someone you look up to end up giving up at the end. đ„Č

@Tony Bain She has a right to reject what they were willing to pay her, but it does to me stink that she wasn't willing to do it just once for whatever they are able and willing to give just one time. Also, would be cool if doing a mighty Morphin reunion special if they were to somehow bring back both Rita's minions and many of the past monsters from the first season of mighty Morphin. Maybe as a cool bonus they could be surrounded by an army of past monsters Rita had Finster bring to life and then maybe teams of rangers from the Zordon Era and maybe the most recent season show up and have Original mighty morphin Red Ranger Jason lead the charge into battle. That would be cool, but instead of doing it in one or two 20 something minute maybe episodes have it be like a two and a half to three hour movie. Giving time to highlight where have the original team all been, how they got their morphers to work again, how perhaps Zordon got brought back and then a final battle that shows many rangers in action that lasts at least long enough to highlight each ranger fighting instead of like supermegaforce where they reveal themselves to the newbies almost at the very end and battle is like maybe three minutes with supposedly like 20 teams so they blipped through most of the teams super fast and they take out a massive army. Then have maybe at end Billy is with the woman from Aquitar and their grown son who perhaps becomes the first leader of Power Rangers Spd and can have reunion special Tommy had a son or daughter and Tommy was destroyed in battle, and son or daughter is continuing his power ranger legacy with a revived power coin.

Kimberly, Adam, Tanya, TJ, Kai, Kendrix, etc are all characters that I actually like more now than I did growing up. Kimberly is high on that list. I loved watching her growth throughout the show. Amy Jo Johnson was one of the best actresses on the show and it helped that Kim (or sometimes Zack) always had the best line out of the OGs.

I notice creators have been saying the original film isn't canon. I think it is. From my recollection, the only element that isn't of the actual franchise is Ivan Ooze. But Kimberly calling for her pterodactyl thunder whip to me indicates that the movie was taken place during the thunder era. The movie was a setup for season three. Also, the tenga warriors came from eggs on the tv show vs Ivan's spit which is more theatrical. (IMO).
How they get the ninja powers alone decanonizes the whole movie.
@@gmcubed Right, but in the larger scheme of things, #1 they're still "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". Their entire existence is canon. They're still fighting Rita and Zedd, they still have Zordon and Alpha. The movie is canon but for theatrical purposes, certain elements were changed As I said.. Rocky still ends up with the Ape Zord just like on the TV show. - If we're gonna play then that's like saying the Harry Potter films aren't canon to the Books. - The Film was set up as a promotion for season three. I would know. I was there as a kid witnessing all this.

She has attended conventions. She is however, the most successful of the original cast and is still consistently working. Those conventions are work, they are for the actors to make money. There is no reason to go if you donât need the money, even if you had the time in a schedule to allow. She has made some appearances between projects but itâs not a source of income she needs like the others

They should have got her back for the reunion special. It's probably not gonna be as good as it could have been without her and Jason
They went out their way to preserve the legacy of Trini giving her a daughter so getting Amy Jo and Austin St John to return should have been top priority if it wasn't.
If the opportunity ever comes to get them all back together while they still can then they should do it for a second Reunion special sometime in the future.
It would be a shame not to.
Second reunion they are all in their 50s except for actress playing Trini's daughter. Though what would have been cool especially long time ago if instead of all these rehashing of ranger teams with a dino theme, space theme, or car theme they instead went on and had past rangers have children who became a ranger like Tommy and Catherine have a child who becomes a ranger. Maybe tj from power rangers in space married Cassidy and they had a child. Red and pink ranger from lightspeed had a child. That would of been cool if they had maybe people who had a romantic interest on their season with another ranger had a son or daughter and then have cameos of the parents from say mighty Morphin, lost in space, lightspeed rescue, time force maybe green ranger and Dr. K from rpm season have a child and their child from those seasons of past rangers come together and they become a ranger team. They can call it Power Rangers legacy. Be a way to honor rangers of past seasons, and continue their story with cameos of their parents on the show acting as both parents and mentors to them.
Austin St John wasn't allowed to leave the US do to legal issues he's dealing with so he couldn't be in it and Amy Jo Johnson didn't like whatever deal she was given to be in the anniversary special

@Mr.Wolfchamp 1999 I just said they are. The people who play a Ranger in mighty morphin were all in their early 20s in the early 90s. So they would be in their 50s now. The four in the special who replaced a ranger on the team might be a little bit younger than Billy or Zack so might be just under 50, but either way they are either in their 50s or just under 50 like 49.

True, but on the show she did tell Cat to hold onto her power coin and that she is the pink ranger now and she moved away to train for a gymnastics competition and eventually according to show found someone new to love. How would they have her brought back when she didn't keep the coin and they never hinted at her keeping in touch with any of the cast that she teamed up with. They don't highlight that she kept in touch with Aisha, Jason, Tommy, Rocky, Cat, Billy, Zach or Rocky, whom she fought with before her character was written off the show. It feels like to me like bye peace out you all don't bother to contact me, cause I don't give a fridge about you. Granted it doesn't make sense to me why Billy and Zach who never been in a cross over ranger reunion episode are back, but Billy is a genius and learned to be a better fighter with Jason and Zack's help. He would be a bigger asset than Kimberly imo. Then could say Billy reached out to old friends and people like Zack, Adam, Cat and Aisha answered the call.

MMPR Season 3 was an alternate retelling of how the rangers got their ninja powers to the 1995 movie. Ninjor instead of Dulcea helped them obtain their Ninja powers. Rito Revolto brought the Tengu Warriors instead of Ivan Ooze.

Yeah will be interesting to see what becomes of both Tommy and Kimberly in the reunion series. Obviously Jason David Frank passed away fairly recently, so he won't be able to reprise his role as the green ranger (unless if he was in that project prior to his death) and last I checked, Amy turned down the role as Kimberly, so it is unlikely she will be in the new series either. Will be interesting to see how the show explains away their absenses (wonder if they will do a send off or something for Jason's character in the special). As for Kimberly, well the producers do have options. Either they can writer her character off as well (assuming it is a one time episode) or I wonder if they have considered recasting her role. Not sure who can play Kimberly as well as Amy could, but sometimes when one person turns down a role, it can be an opportunity for a new actor or actress to shine. Seen that happen in other shows or movies where a veteran actor or actress will turn down a role and then the role gets recast to a newer actor or actress. Kinda wonder if that could be an option if they want to bring Kimberly back into the mix, especially if the new series is going to be ongoing and they need her character to make a return. Not idea on where the new series will go or what the producers have in mind for the new series, but just throwing out some options.
