Instant playoff classic. These homers will be featured in every Phillies postseason highlight video for the next decade.
Only if they win. Which hopefully they do
@@julianc6863 2015 Blue Jays didn't win it all, and Bautista's bat flip is still in every highlight compilation
Especially Rhys with his bat spike
Hoskins & Harper = New Bash Brothers
Time to add another one....
Still watch this from time to time. I was there. Hoskins homerun was the loudest I’ve ever heard a crowd. Magical.
I was there too in 136 right before the left field pole close to the field. It was insane. I’ll never forget how loud it was. 11 years of us being deprived of the playoffs exploding in 1 swing.
Philly is just a different energy
Got that Kensington Ave energy.
As a Mets fan so true

The Astros let the Phillies in. Like the Phillies let the Cards in back 2011.

That wasn't a bat flip, that was a bat SLAM
If the bat could talk, it would beg for mercy.

Gronk has nothing on Rhys
Now if your first baseman can play defense he'd be good. Does he really carry kleenex in his pocket? Or are those tampons?
Exactly
Love that both homers were followed up by base hits too. Makes the highlights that much better
Those handshakes were executed flawlessly

What a great moment for this team. 11 years in the making

I've been to a handful of stadiums but philly, you can feel the energy from the parking lot. Even when the stadium is half filled. It's just an unbelievable, unique experience. No matter how many fans that are there, they're all in it 100%
I can hear the stadium and the bell from my house, I live a 10 minute walk away from it
Back in the 90's, different sport (hockey), we got to the old Spectrum about 20 minutes before the puck dropped for the Flyers game 1, and I could that electricity in the arena, even though it was maybe 2/3 full, and it wasn't actually physically loud yet. Flyers scored in the first minute and then twice more in the first 10 minutes. That's Philly.
I love seeing just insane high adrenaline moments like this in sports. That bat slam almost looked reactionary like he let all of his frustrations out on that one swing
PHI seems like they are on that playoff run ATL was on last season. Impressive 🙏.
I hope so. Seems like they're focused rn
Braves won WS with 94 wins. Regular means nothing in BB just get in
@@julianc6863 I already know that so what are you talking about 🤔?
Love the energy. Love the reaction. Of both fans and players. I’m not a Philly fan, but this team indeed has the greatest momentum in all the teams that are playing in the post season. Can’t imagine this team losing.
Padres looking damn good too in fairness

Just the sound of Hoskins homer for the crowd. WILD.

Playoff baseball in Philadelphia hits different. Hoskins and Harper follow suit.
Reminds me of back in 2007 when they clinched the National League East crown. You couldn't scream loud enough to talk to the person beside you. Just a different kind of energy down there.. 🎉
Electric energy in this stadium. Not a Phillies fan but rooting for them
I'm a braves fan and get chills watching this back
You guys look mean this year. I suspect we’re gonna have round 2 again in October.
One of the best Phillies moments in History. If they manage to make it to World Series this was the moment that sparked it all.
Still gives me goose bumps.
Looking forward to this playoff atmosphere for the next 5 to 8 years
Don't want to get ahead of myself for fear of disappointment but I can easily see these moves the Phillies have been making over the last couple of years turning us into a dynasty. It sounds like our farm system is also working wonders producing people like Painter, Hall, and Munoz. This is gonna be epic.
Bro i been watching clips from this postseason and they all give me chills
@@g01denn59dynasty? Everyone is 30 or over. We got 3 years max.
There's no other place like Phillies baseball in October.
I don’t know anything about that could you please explain
@@jamesferguson3401watch Phillies highlights from 2007-2011 and this past year. CBP is electric in october
On the rare times when the Phillies make a deep run in the playoffs and the Eagles are playing at the same time, the whole city turns into a month long party. Everyone is nicer, wearing team colors and will randomly break out into singing and dancing. Normal Philly stuff like you're grittying on down the street and a girl sees you so she starts dancing towards you and then you're in a random dance off. That's the Phillies October vibe.
Seeing how elite guys like Bryce Harper and James Harden love the Philly energy almost brings a tear to my eye. Very exciting year for 3 Philly teams
Poor flyers lol
If their game against Jersey is any indication, they ain’t playing this year either.
Don’t get too high on harden, just wait till April/May for him to reveal his true colors.
@@jeffreydean5112 we don’t talk about them 😂
@@aris_mendez I honestly think Maxey is gonna take his game to the next level that we won’t even need Houston Harden, just a consistent 20-25 points along with elite passing
Braves lucked up winning game 2 because if they didn’t they where cooked with this atmosphere. Chant mocking , dui chants I can’t imagine what they saying in the outfield 😭
I'm sure the fans are saying nah nah nah nah nah, your mom has a bum leg....ok. I'm sure it's 100x worse than that. Philly fans are more salty than NY yankee fans. And thats something
Have a little respect. Jeesh. Where were you guys all year? But I guess the Phillies got hot at the right time and that's what it's all about in the post season.
I've watched Harper's HR a few times now and I still have no idea where it actually lands.
I'm a big critic of Rhys Hoskins but this is how to shut me and others up! We need him to produce! Epic HR and an epic and emotional slam of the bat! LET'S GO!!!!! 😤😤😤
Yeah, he has ups and downs, cost us a run off an error later. Hopefully he can keep it up. I still want him gone next season though
Greatest bat slam in history
Haven’t watched the Phillies in a while and witnessing this live was unreal. The emotion of Rhys after that HR was crazy !!!
That moment with Harper, omg.
Some players throughout history hit the ball and I swear it makes a different sound. Harper is one of those guys.
Try it with headphones. It’s amazing.
Gotta love the sounds of baseball.
@@hesh8367 that violent swing is holding up glad he’s had such great success his whole career.
Man it’s such a beautiful site seeing CBP filled like this
It’s funny how during the year baseball can be such a lazy game to watch. Just chillin with a beer and a snack watchin the day go by because there are so many lapses between pitches and action. You enjoy it, but it’s relaxing.
And yet for that very same reason, when your team is in the playoffs, those moments lead to such anticipation that you’re sitting on the edge of your seat and everything around you is electric. The intensity is real.
Hockey is my sport. I can’t get enough football, and the 76ers have me hyped. But there is something about postseason baseball that makes the hair stick up on the back of your neck. Especially if you’re at the game or even a bar where others are feeling the same way.
It’s that anticipation followed by huge eruptions just like this clip.
Love it.
I remember it like it was just 4 weeks ago.....lol.
they walk Schwarber to get to Hoskins. aka, Hoskins is an easy out. lol.
He crushed it. lol. Epic in Phillies history.
Phillies camaraderie unmatched
This is why we love baseball
It’s about the moment. One that goes down in history as a moment that people will always remember. This was one of them! And what a great moment it was!
I have no connection to the Phillies, what an amazingly cathartic celebration
Just watched Phils end the Marlins series 2023...wondered what happened to Hoskins after Stott grand slam...then came across this video...grew up with the '93 Phils and watched the 2000 Phils grow up and mature '08/'09...lost touch with the game when my childhood heroes retired...and this game vs Braves happened to be the first game I watched by chance flicking thru channels...now I'm back in touch with the game again a lil...crazy how the environment and '22 post season run reminded me of '93 minus the ending...Carter likes it down and in...Mitch Williams... here comes the pitch... down and in...🫣smh
