This sounds like the alien spaceship music from the movies
I wouldn't like to run into this at night...
Sounds like a space ship!
It sounds so alien
Sounds like background music to a 50's Scifi movie.
Learn something new every day!
Wow, beam me up, Scotty.
Imagine hearing this while having a migraine or a hangover! Man..
I think this is really cool. I'd love to have something like it on my land.
OH if I had known this, I would have made a point to book a side trip to see this when we were in Ireland last fall.
OH God that would drive me BONKERS
Wild!
I would hate having this in my neighborhood
They seriously need to build this as the entrance to area 51
Sounds like game STALKER. Like this :)
You get the feeling if you step through it that you will come out the other side in a different dimension creeeepy lol
Man, this would be creepy to hear at night as you're trying to go to sleep.
sounds like the aliens have arrived !
I bet that's a headache for the wildlife in the area....
cool ;)
sounds like a triller movie ! :)
This sounds louder than the singing ringing tree sulpture in England.
it's a portal! and the sound is the calling of bee-aliens
Kinda trippy
Sounds like a force field :D
the sounds must change with the wind.... where does the harp permanently reside?
sounds of steel that would make you crazy after a while... srlsy needs a pause function
Remember the monolith from 2001: A space oddessy? *Well this is him now.* Feel old yet?
Reminds me of that one episode in Spongebob
Does anyone know what frequency these vibrate at?
Very cool, but I'm sure glad I don't live near that thing. I've seen acoustic wing chimes that make nicer sounds by orienting the pipes at different angles.
This is the sound of anxiety lol
All allied nations should have this sculpture as a sign of Harmony i say.
I got listen such sounds already when I saw Antichrist.
this is my sleep paralysis demon
On the plus side, it may provide full-time employment for a piano tuner with step ladders. On the minus side, the notes say it's a stringed instrument, but that's it. So they don't want us to understand, rather to be awestruck, stupefied... my guess is that it's a big aeolien harp. I'm interested in sound sculptures, and this ain't bad, but I had the idea that the eden project had a mission to inform rather than artificially mystify.
I know this is an ancient comment, but the uploader is not the artist. If you search for Luke Jerram and Aeolus you can find his webpage that has much more information. But yes, it's a big aeolien harp.
@@goran840 thanks!
@@raykent3211 You're welcome :)

The ends on both sides are open. Don't you have to close one side to make "noise"?
+Larry Lem Nope. Think of a brass or woodwind instrument: it's open at both ends. Capping one end would make the tone go down by 1 octave, but would also limit playing, since it wouldn't sound if the wind was blowing on the capped end.
Try hitting the tubes with paddles
Would be interesting to have one here in Kansas where we have a lot of wind.
I really like it but I wonder what the animals think.
i wonder wut it would sound like to be hit by lightning :s
The sound of (choose one) -
a) marimba
b) large gong
c) flying metal
d) loud screams
The sounds are amazing.
But I have a question.
Do they affect animal life anyway?
I mean do they disturb life of animals, birds or insects as well?
Fro Brazil 🇧🇷
Brazil’s deforestation disturbs animals, but you’re wondering about this piece of art. Genius.
Mr Chaser:
As you can see, I just expressed my opinion.
I didn't ask yours.
cant you hear the bird is complaining these weird noise?
These should be set up in cemeteries... wouldn't have to worry about vandals at night
wires run from each tube to posts.
Really awesome but I wonder how this affected surrounding real estate prices. ಠ_ಠ

How is a wind instrument a stringed instrument?
the strings r inside the tubes
very jarring
we can't hear anything whit all the wind in your microphone.
I'm not sure the neighbors appreciate the noise 24/7. Many would say this is a type of 'pollution' they want no part of.
+Larry Fenn You could label almost any sound noise pollution if it was unwanted. The sole characteristic separating noise from other acoustic phenomena is its unwantedness. It's a question of attitude towards the given sound rather than something intrinsic to the sound itself.
+The Homeless Guy With that statement you must define normal then, since you just referenced normal from a position of bias and subjectivity, which is based only from your perspective of what normal encompasses.
Are the strings attached to the white posts that surround the sculpture?
Это вообще где?

Thats exactly what it sounds like in the Veer Towers in Las Vegas on a windy day. Big design flaw.... People paid millions for high class apartments, to have their brains buzzed out when it's windy..HA HA
Perfect for trauma I'd say!
Trypophobia
NO, imagine you don´t know shit about the proyect and go near to that... ... while taking mushrooms... ... ... or peyote... ... ... ... maaaaaaaaannnnn
Dude I could see this being a MAJOR trip on acid as well. Holy shit does your explanation makes sense haha
que negócio tolo
should out some bench for lying down.... erm but some pitch is kinda high and annoying.. maybe not suitable.
are you guys trying to summon a fooking satan ???
крыша поедет.
Then don't do it!
if it make by wood , should sound better.... this is metal is too inflexible, the sound produce is hard.
I do not like it. It's very unsettling.
I don't like it...
so many harmonics, that's super awesome. i just wish the mic had a wind muff =((
