How Beautifully Blue the Sky | Pirates of Penzance

In this song from Act One of Gilbert and Sullivan's comic opera The Pirates of Penzance, Frederic and Mabel, having experienced love at first sight, make googly eyes at each other while Mabel's sisters chatter about the weather to pretend they aren't eavesdropping. Mabel is supposedly so homely that she had "given up all hope of winning man's affection" so bagging a pretty boy like Frederic is beyond her wildest dreams. In "Is There Not One Maiden Breast" Frederic established that he has extremely low standards so he's just happy that he can bag a chick at all.
