You guys are great at promoting and selling products. BulkBox made a good decision partnering with you. Had me convinced I NEEDED new storage boxes. But then I thought, what's more eco friendly than not buying a new thing and creating waste by throwing out my old boxes? The old boxes work well for what they do and honestly prefer the white color. Turns out rectangular boxes also stack. If I need to buy a new storage box then I will definitely consider these even with the premium price tag but I think I've talked myself out of completely replacing my current boxes with new boxes.
If bulkbox could make those drawer style boxes that could fit perfectly into my kalax shelves then I would definitely be interested in something like that.
You made a great decision. They'll be here if you need them, hopefully for many years to come.

$39 for 3 of these boxes seems like a great price. I just spent $87 on materials to build my own card storage shelving system. (would have cost me over $250 to get this card shelving system premade). If you already have an IKEA Kallax shelf, these boxes are (literally) made for you. Enjoy collecting!

Just got my boxes, and theyre great! Also not sure if was already mentioned but make sure to fold the "wings" on the long side of the lid before you tuck into the shorter sides. Kind of hard to explain but the official assembly video goes into it

Had to order right away. I have been looking for something like this for quite a while. Wish y'all could do something about the shipping though, it's pretty tough to see that added cost. Still, looking forward to using these for Ashes, Arkham, Marvel Champions, Lord of the Rings LCG, Alpha Clash, MtG... so many things.

The blessing of Blasmophet is a big scoop for this product line.
Fits on a Kallax shelf is pretty great, but what's the weight situation like when storing 3800 cards, or three times that much, on a shelf? I have a 1x5 Kallax shelf next to my desk and I occasionally worry about how much weight in cards is on there, and this would let me put quite a lot more if I wanted to.
Speaking purely anecdotally-from us and Rikki-the Kallax shelves can take the weight of a neutron star. But you might need a brace or something depending on your layout.

curious... the Kallax that this is designed for, can it actually support the weight you would get out of 3 full boxes of cards? the product site says each shelf can hold 29lbs
I feel like that estimate is overly conservative. I have two 5x5 kallax units packed with card/board games and more stacked on top. Still holding strong with no signs of bowing or stress after years of usage.
Haven't done super extensive testing, but no issues so far. Maybe a bracket or two to be safe depending on how high/stacked you are.
Finally, sealing the deal with Hydrobrain? Or whatever that water bottle brand was.

How many cards are currently out for Marvel Champs? Arkham LCG? This seems like an amazing way to store those.

Bought a bunch of these from TC. Assembled my first box and the rows are wide enough that the dividers just fall over and wont stay in place. Going to try assembling another box, frustrated so far.
Hi there, just to clarify on the confusion. The dividers that are included are to help sort and organise your collection, not a fixed or permanent structural feature to the BulkBox.

Indeed, those dividers are meant to live between cards to create different sections!

1. They can fit toploaders but won't fit them in standard orientation (same as the BCWs). They fit at a 20-30 degree angle in standard orientation or you can stack them across the short span of the row OR turn them down on their long side. Check our Discord for some pictures there.
2. Yeah, the shipping might be non-conducive though. Each set is over 5 pounds. The more you buy obviously the less of a percentage that shipping cost becomes.

It has the issue that bothers me the most about some of these boxes. I really want a space between the top of the walls and the lids for rules books/handouts etc.

How many sleeved cards does one box hold?
Approximately 2200 single sleeved cards (eg. magic cards in dragon shields) - although more if they are thin sleeves or you want to pack them tightly
But are they sturdy?

Am I the only one that prefers aesthetically if the lid is flush with the bottom of the box?
We tend not to like those because they're so much harder to open.
I like this product. I am a big fan of the white boxes. They are not amazing, but they get the job done at a price point.
I am a bit split on these new boxes. I love the way they are built. But I would like to see two things for them to be perfect (at least for me).
I would like the top to be blank
I would like a version with a 5th row so ti fully fills the deapth of the Kallax. I know you said the square is stronger, but I stack 3 white boxes 100% full without to much issue so I am sure this stronger design could still support a 5 row version.
Either way I am still very interested. Thanks for tackling the storage side of card games.
Great comments! You're right that there is 6cm depth unfilled with 3x BulkBox (KALLAX is 33.5cm x 33.5cm x 39cm, BulkBox is 33cm x 11cm tall, making 3 of them stacked at 33cm x 33cm x 33cm). Rikki did a BulkBox 6000 at one point, perhaps we could get that back in production at some point! Or at least a 5-row.

Well these are an absolute nightmare to build. I imagine that's why the comments are turned off the BulkBox "How to build" video, lol.

Dang it! I just bought a pack of BCW storage boxes off Amazon! If you had dropped this a week earlier I would have gotten these!!!
What I want to see is a product that you can use to keep cards from sliding around when you don't have a full column of cards! That would be awesome.
I use the BCW foam bricks for that. They work ok but it'd be nice to get something more modular

@teamcovenant Have you considered releasing game name faceplates with studios you have a relationship for approval? Earthborne, Sorcery, Null Signal, etc
Acid free cardboard is the only thing that matters, or edges will yellow
We've had cards in BCWs (not acid free) for 30+ years and they're totally fine. Have seen the acid free thing mentioned, but never actually manifested in damaged cards - perhaps with plastic, but not paper.
Given that it's mostly recycled material, these can't be guaranteed to be "acid free".

$39 seems steep for cardboard.
Too expensive not enough value. With 5k monster boxes available under $3.50 and 3k for under $3 i cant justify the additional cost more than double. Especially since we use hundreds a year it adds up quickly. But for a non game store maybe hobbyist i might see those working out better for storage.
They aren't for everyone! If you're using hundreds a year, cost is definitely the biggest factor in the value equation.
Can you tell me where are you finding those prices? I would love to pick some up but I can't seem to find anything under $10-12 per box

These may be better for IKEA Kallax shlef solution, but BCW is waaaaaay better for IKEA Bror shelf solution, which is what I have. Easy pass.

Are these made of cardboard ? If so i can't be the only one thinking $40 is a lot for a cardboard box ... :/
It's for 3 cardboard boxes, in fact. BCWs are ~$19.45/box on Amazon, so they're quite comparable (Bulks are less if you get 9+ and free shipping).

Great product, AWFUL, implementation. I cannot for the life of me get these assembled. I would pay double to have them shipped to ne assembled.
