I spent the last two weeks doing something I should have done YEARS ago: sorting and organizing boxes and boxes of Pokemon cards from storage. We're talking over 10,000 WOTC cards (mostly 1st Editions), including over 30 complete non-holo sets, and even a mystery box filled with long-forgotten holographic cards.
Over the years, I developed a bad habit of storing my Pokemon card bulk without any organizational system; however, that ends now! In this video, we discuss how to sort Pokemon cards and properly store them for safe keeping.

Nice 1st Ed sets for the non holos. I organized my bulk ages ago and sold a lot of it off to help other goals so it certainly helped. I’m sure your bulk will help a ton. Like finding buried treasure!

Pokemon cards don't burn good. I've actually done it. The flame burns out and the cards shrivel up in seconds. Not a good source.. try magic cards..

Man, I wish I just had those binder pages full of all the common and uncommons already in order!! I have been dreading putting my commons and uncommon together in binders for years!! Man, that box of holos was sick too!! You should just put all them holes in a binder and just have the coolest holo binder ever!!!😊
Amazing collection. You should get some of those neo and 1st edition base, jungle, and fossil graded. Probably a fortune there!

Id be super interested in any damaged rares from the gym heros / gym challenge sets! I don’t have the budget for nm ones but damaged is good enough to make me smile in my binder!

Those are BCW Trading Card Dividers, they're available on Amazon and work really well. Basically, they are just thick plastic pieces that are taller than the cards: simple but effective.

There truly is something addicting about putting a bunch of nice bulk cards into sleeves. And the blatant disrespect for Base set 2 is unreal lmfao.
The disrespect is justified. Pokemon could have imported the Vending Series, or any number of cool promos when Base 2 came out, but instead they gave us more of the same. As a kid, seeing Japanese Team Rocket cards while running a league was exciting, but then we had to suffer through months of Base 2 instead. I’m still not over it.

i miss this times. Before covid i would be buying peoples collections on ebay and would spend endless hours sorting cards to try n complete sets. glad i was able to complete 7 wotc sets before pandemic if not i wouldnt see my self buying a jungle set for 300 when i got it for 50.

Only casually with the sets I like. I collected Evolutions, Celebrations, and will be going hard with Pokémon 151 when it releases this fall.

Just a question for those that have been holding this bulk for years and years. Back in 2020/2021 when we were all at home and not going out much wouldn't that have been a prime time to have done this?
It definitely would have. However, as a school teacher adapting to online teaching and revamping curriculum for four different high school classes had me working about 16 hours a day. Despite the potential profit, teaching was my first priority. I didn’t have time for much else. Ironically, my job prevented me from making money, but that’s ok.
@@pokemon_classics I work in education as well. I've been support staff for the last 7 years, finally finished my teaching certification and licensure this spring. Moving into my own class room this school year.
There was no judgement intended in my comment I just know that many people had lots of extra time and sorting would be done at home, at least the way my brain works it would have been something I would have jumped into doing.

8:14 first edition is always shadowless? sure? i got a molters from fossil first edition with shadow hm….realy want to know best regards and nice video by the way :)
I should have clarified. All BASE set 1st editions are shadowless (except Machamp, which can be either). Later sets all had the drop shadow for both unlimited and 1st editions.
