@@CaptainCretaceous91 Yeah. Something like they got the seed in Newt in that first drift, or because Newt took on the whole hivemind by himself, and Hermann took it on WITH Newt, Newt wasn't able to block the brainwashing, but Hermann was.
knifehead you are a Category 3 unless you are the one in the anteverse from newton drift and you an evolved version of the other knifehead which was a Category 3 so then maybe you are a Category 4.
Probably a part of the Precursors experimentational mindset. Creating clone kaiju is one thing, but I have a feeling they wanted to go further than just cloning, but also to see if the Breachers COULD reproduce. If successful, it would probably save them a little more work creating new clones if their creations can spawn more kaiju for them - assuming they succeed in killing the humans. Besides, it's not that farfetched considering this is basically interdimensional genetic engineering in the hands of an advanced, but sadly hostile alien species. If they can create modified clones bred from the previous agents after they die, then they can also give them something as simple as reproductive organs. After all, they control the Breachers, and had they won then The Precursors would be sending ALL their legions to harvest the planet: a little natural reproduction might only speed up production, and save on whatever resources they used to clone and modify these demons.
@@kahnac6194 Exactly, much easier to invade if you can get one Kaiju through and let it reproduce there than having to continuously send Kaiju through a portal to invade.
Wish we could've get more of this but by the clips they actually used special material similar to skin tissue to create it they could also tare them apart and resemble them in different ways
Newt didn't STOP doing it and he did so ALONE. This made hi vulnerable because at a certain point, the drifting may have caused severe brain damage and in certain respects, affected his brain in such a way that could be manipulated. It should be noted that his single drift was enough to cause the Kaiju to home in on him as a target. And he did not stop. Hermann's experience was far more limited and he never did it again. That's why he was unaffected.

Sammy Marquez the plan was to have the Jaegers toss a nuclear bomb into the breach and into the Kaiju homeworld however Newt and Herman discovered that the breach is programmed to only open for Kaiju so anything the Jaegers throw in will just get spit back out
At first i thought they made it pregnant as sort of a trojan horse incase it gets killed and taken down..and maybe thats the case. But i started wondering. I wonder if they wanted to give dr newton a way to drift with them. A fresh brain not one that could be damaged or half dead by the time they extract it. And they used the baby as a means to give him a full functional brain and take over his brain
Can't imagine this will have any undesired consequences in a few years time

One of the side effects after "drifting" with a Kaiju is talking rapidly
Maybe it's some aftereffect of time dilation from the Precursor's universe... Or speed of the Kaiju nervous system.
