i think the japanese official direct translated it to tears as in a tear that you cry

I think "rugged Link" is the very 1st Link. In Skyward Sword, Zelda mentions the Sail cloth: Zelda mentions that legends tell that the goddess once gave a Sailcloth to her chosen hero". I think part of the game will take place prior to the events of Skyward Sword and we play as the very 1st Link who will get the Sailcloth from Hylia. The snakes/dragons connecting are going counter-clockwise as well, so going back or reversing time may be a big factor. I also think one dragon represents Hylia, and the other Demise. The murals may also be of Zelda's mom making a pact with this deity that Hylia can use her daughter (Zelda) to reincarnate into,

I thought those roots and Faraón so it must be part of Faron that raised into the sky. I also have been spending a lot of time on the Lanayru promenade trying to farm Naydra and I saw a face just like the figure with the headpiece except it didn’t have the headpiece. It’s on the ruins.

It's tears(crying) if you look at the Japanese name's meaning

Great video! I haven't seen anyone else notice the hole in the mountain, suggesting the floating Islands are from Hyrule. Nice catch!

I believe the hole he points out is actually the laker/pond where the Ridgeland tower was. It doesn’t look like there’s any water in there anymore, though. I’m wondering if we’ll be able to explore the underground through it.

Tears(rips) would be followed by "in, or on". Tears(crying) is from something or "of"

Technically tears (rips) of the kingdom would mean the kingdom causes the tears. It probably is tears (crying) since people say the Japanese translates that way.

Hear me out. If the 7 objects around the unknown being (Hylia?) are tears...why are they upside down??? No one has mentioned this that I've noticed yet. They also resemble a swirl AND one that is Zonai/Twilight-ish. (a time reversal reference)
Now, if those are tears and they are upside down, then let's consider the tear on the Sheikah symbol. Isn't it interesting how the tear is a drop that is right-side up on the Sheikah symbol but the triangles on the eye are ABOVE and not below, like they are in the murals depicting Zelda(?). It's almost like the Sheikah symbol is meant to be viewed both right side up and upside down (maybe that's an ouroboros reference).
If we flip the Sheikah symbol, we not only get the triangles to then be BELOW the eye, but the tear drop is now also upside down like the "tears" surrounding the unknown being. And I wonder if those upside down "tears" represent the swirl, OR the circle of life (ouroboros) but through time. Like how our solar system isn't just spinning but since it's also all moving in one direction, it creates a spiral. (look this up if you don't know what I'm talking about).
Oh, and the "tears" are in opposite directions in the last image, just like the dragon heads facing each other on that first HUGE door that opens in the trailer, AND just like Zelda(?) and the unknown beings hands when they make that circle. But we know the game's logo is the dragons NOT facing each other but eating their own tails.
*and the "tear" above the unknown being's head in the last image is in the opposite direction of the "tear" above its own head in the first image where it depicts all 7. It's the "tear" above Zelda(?)'s head that is in the same direction as the first 7. Why is that?? Does the unknown being represent the start and Zelda(?) the end? And why/how do these dragon heads metaphorically go from facing each other to eating each other's tail? And is THAT process the story that TotK has in store for us?
What conclusions we can come from all this, I don't know but I wanted to point this out because, well like everyone else I couldn't sleep last night while my mind was racing with ideas. lol

    • @Metisp
      @Metisp Před rokem

I think the tear drops facing upward means we'll have to return these tears to the sky. The two dragons eating each other in the logo could represent Hylia & Demise being in this never-ending reincarnation cycle, and we'll have to reverse this cycle back to events prior to Skyward Sword.

    @itsJoshW Před rokem

SO I suppose let's start off first!
We have two definitions for tear that people are talking about, but in the way I don't think they're critically thinking it through lol.
Tear: As in sadness, joy and/or regret (Such as the cyclical rebirth, destruction and rebirth that the 'curse' has had since the dawn of this game)
Tear: As in to rip apart. More accurately; Space-Time.
Which, no one is realizing; Link doesn't have the ability to go "back in time". He has the ability to MANIPULATE space-time. In particular, he has the powers of time manipulation, which inherently could explain various differences between the Hyrule we see in the trailer and the one that we see in BOTW. In addition, I don't think he has the ability to "bring back the past" but more accurately: Manipulate the current trajectory of space time or to open rifts through dimensions.
Which leads to my speculation for something else.
I believe the "hand" that's holding Ganondorf is the hand of the Time Deity, or whomever the original "ancestor" for Link actually is, which we never were provided in 30 years.
In addition, I think the "deity" that is referenced in the picture underneath the 7 "tears" is the same deity, whom requires 7 tears to complete the ritual that held Ganondorf in his time stasis.
I think Ganondorf was likely imprisoned physically in this state due to the failure of Ganon getting free originally during the first war, which was depicted in Ocarina of Time and again (theory) in that carved image.
I believe that the "Zonai" are actually the guarded tribe to the Deity's, whilst the Sheika were the guarded tribe after the war took place.
My other guess/theory is that the image of the levitating woman is Zelda, and she's levitating due to a curse being provided to her, the Princess of Hyrule of a time long ago, to obtain the soul of Hylia within her. In addition, I believe "Link" is the reincarnation of the lover of Hylia, the God of Time, who is also the "Ancient" Hero.
1:59 I wonder, and I know the Zelda community is a bit crazy with this (I'm from Halo so they can't be as crazy as the Halo guys lmao) but what if that is the torture chambers for the Zonai?! Dun dun dunnnn.
I'd have to presume the only real explanation for the two version of Link, and Link dropping on the same platform as that deity, is that Link is a descendant and/or reincarnation to that deity.

Wow, this is very in-depth! I definitely see what you mean with the space-time manipulation rather than the ability to "time travel". It makes sense since we see Link move a lot of objects "through time" in this and past trailers.

Pretty good take. You noticed a few things some of the other content creators missed & you have a different perspective in general that adds your own flavor to the speculation.
Did you notice the two dragon-like creatures, btw?
Also just a tip, your competing creators have a slightly higher energy level. Makes their channels compelling to watch. Let your natural voice come out, get to know your embouchure. It just sounds a bit stiff.

I'm definitely getting Twilight vibes. I did in BOTW but even moreso now. The jade light runes look identical to those seen on Midna. The technology in the BOTW-verse is also very reminiscent of Twili tech.
