***Correction*** Guys you CAN still get the Blue and Wet Blue dials but only with certain bezel colors. The Blue dial is only available with the Blue ceramic bezel and the Wet Blue dial is only available with the Steel bezel. Thanks to Robert Sanchez below for the correction!

I don’t understand why people think the price is so ridiculous. The features and quality are something most other brands don’t provide for the same price point. The only thing people can knock Monta on is the fact that they are new and don’t have the heritage some other brands do. How can you hold that against them? They have to start somewhere. Not having years of marketing and branding isn’t a good reason to slag a product. Those are all mental constructs with no tangible substance. I think Monta is killing it with their products. If some of their competitors with more history were putting out this exact product with their badging on it nobody would complain about the price.

Very nice review of what appears to be a real nice watch, but $1900.00 for a micro brand? Not for me, perhaps others though.

That is a nice watch. The bracelet is very nice too. I like that clasp, much better then the clasps that most other microbrands are using. I like the microadjust. The sliding microadjusts that most microbrands use look flimsy when they are open. This looks very solid.
At almost $2,000, it’s expensive. I personally would not spend that much for this watch. It’s very nice, certainly borrows styling from other watches.

Great watch, unrealistic price! Too many other options out there. Good video though and very thorough.

Thank you sir and I agree, while a great watch it's simply too expensive.

Doesn't look a bad watch but at the $-£2K mark, it is in a competitive market, Oris, even a Tudor would be a far better buy with a more distinct aesthetic, and at least would hold some value, and actually have some heritage..
Looks a bit bland for the money, and would be worth nothing if you tried to sell it.

I agree about the price for sure.

Put heritage aside, I had tried on the Tudor BB weeks before purchasing the Ocean King. The OK is a better finished, more quality feeling watch. All for less $.

They’re not sold out they match the bezels to the dial accordingly! I just checked for you!😁 if it was $1200-1400 I’d be all over it! But $1925 is too high imo

I have no issue with the price what so ever.... if you get a chance to actually hold one of these beautiful watches you will understand immediately. Just because they may be a young company doesn’t mean they need to sell themselves short at all. They came down once before on price and I think they are right on par for what they delivery and they indeed delivery There are tons of other more expensive watches out there...tons. Monta in my eyes have done it and have done it right. If it’s not the watch for you then it’s not the watch watch for. Watches are all about self expression and to each their own... I feel the build and quality are all there and these guys are going to be around for the foreseeable future and I’am very excited to see the offerings to come. I’am all in on Monta...and I love the red on the dial.😜

I think it's great that they were able to reduce the thickness on the new version.

Yes, it deserves the praise, I think. But they seem somehow to restrict their sales to US market. No international shipping conditions on the web side. So shipping and import tax and the US tax included in their price will be a deal breaker for many of us Europeans. Well, they can do what they want, and we customers can as well.

It's a great watch from a great brand. I have been looking at their Skyquest line. I t hink the build quality and features justify the price even if it is beyond my current means. I don't know if they are targeting more higher-end watch collectors to them an affordable option or if they are targeting for lower-end collectors looking to go upmarket, but hey should offer a longer warranty period or some other kind of value-add.
