the ONLY reason they were struggling to send him through was because he didnât have some sad soppy backstory about insecurity, bullying, etc. this show isnât about talent anymore itâs about who can invoke the most pity from the judges (not that their suffering is invalid or anything but it shouldnât determine wether or not they win a _talent_ competition) he is a good singer and that should be the only thing they are judging him on
But weren't they better singers than him? Ofc they were. The sad stories are only the entertainment factor in a reality show , the people who come are truly talented ( most of em). Anyways, I loved Thomas' performance!

Thomas seems like a really sweet kid. He was nervous and vulnerable. He didn't act cocky or pretentious. I think he is very likable. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance. I loved the song and his beautiful voice . I can't wait to hear him sing again.

For me it was a throwback tone and delivery like back in the 20s and 30s w the rapid yet still pleasing vibrato and great use of dynamics to draw the listener in, needs to work on breath got a little flat at times but what a raw gem of an instrument.
