I had a boyfriend in high school that would keep telling me, "It will pass" whenever I was depressed. I thought he was just telling me to brush it under the rug, but he was right. When I look back I think, "Why was I so upset?" Some of it was hormones, I'm sure, and some stuff seemed really bad. And, yes I wrote poetry to get through it. I still get depressed sometimes, but very seldom as bad as back then.

Looking back at it, I should've just enjoyed the time that I had and not care about anyone's opinion. But I'm happy I went through and didn't give up. It made me so much stronger and it made me the person I am today. And I'm fine with it. Hope some can relate. So yes, you'll get through.

I don't think you every totally come out of it but you can learn to deal with it and I have seen this in my son over the last 40 years. He hasn't the talent this man has for Music but he has his own talents as an artist. Fantastic at pencil drawing and emotionally he is doing way better. Hope the same for you and everyone else who has depression. I have never had it but I have seen what it has done to my son and I am glad he is doing way better.
