Well, I didn’t think I would ever be recording this! Me, Holly, and a bunch of others all met up at this famous 1003 and had an absolute blast. It was really loud thanks to it’s 5M blower, and despite one solenoid being broken it still sounded awesome. Thank you all for watching and I hope you enjoy the video!

Maybe if I have time, I will go and film this siren, after all, that faulty solenoid was fixed so why not?

Chopper is starting to go. Solenoid has been broken for about two years or so, if not more. Tis a shame, not many 5M 1003's left in the wild.

Sad how siren enthusiasts record this Siren to death hope it can get some rest for a year I mean nothing has changed about it sound is the same but slowly is giving out but the fire department insists not replacing is the best course of action a 2001-130 or 508-128 will be here sooner

This is by memory what I heard in Hutchinson Kansas about 1960;
It was apparent-all too apparent-they wanted to get your attention and not just wander off forgetting about it;
The vortex did not have an obscuring could sheath;
Storm dropped soft-ball size hail;
Sound of a train was distinct;
This 1003 is what made me make an actual one in real life
