Shino was so underrated especially in Part 1. I hate that they made him irrelevant in Part 2 & Boruto.
Especially when he didn't lose a single fight in part one.
He was on par in intelligence with Shikamaru put of the konaha 12
He seemed to also be one of the most powerful out of the konaha 12. I'd say Sasuke, Naruto, Neji, Lee, and Shino (not in that order necessarily) are the top 5 in part 1.
Literally when I was younger and watched the Chunin exams I was borderline scared of that mf. His jutsu was really well-made and I was hoping they would develop onto his character but he became about as relevant as TenTen. Goddamn waste.

Shino had an interesting skill set that I honestly feel was far too neglected in the series.
Shino was just hard to write an interesting fight for against most of what was going on in the original Naruto series, Shino either easily trumped the antagonists or was outright trumped by them.
I think he got left behind in the Shippuden series because he wasn't popular due to both his introduction in Shippuden and his participation in the filler at the end of the original Naruto anime being kind of lame.

Under the right circumstances he could actually beat almost every major character in the series. Just because of how hard to detect his abilities are capable of being.
Even if Shino's bug can't disrupt his chakra, they can just bite him, causing him pain

Dumb question: can animals absorb natural energy safely? If cursed seal chakra is essentially senjutsu, a person absorbing it without control would petrify them. Can the bugs do it safely?
@@VTWS They can absorb just a teensy bit before turning into rocks but it doesn't matter as long as Shino still has lots of 'em.

I enjoy how fair you are towards Kankuro and Kiba. People think they’re super weak and I never understood why, Kiba was consistently impressive every time he had a chance to show off, it’s not his fault his ultimate jutsu was used on the two ppl that could just regrow limbs like Starfish lol.
And Kankuro gets clowned for Sasori despite Sasori’s major advantage of knowing Kankuro’s puppets and everything they do while Kankuro ran into the fight blinded with 0 knowledge of absolutely anything.
People tend to throw their scaling out the window and just call them weak because they lost fights that 85% of the verse would have lost at the time(whoever was introduced) if the circumstances were the same or similar.
Biggest example of this is swag and Seth claiming a fatigued genin sasuke would beat kiba in the chunin exams. Naruto literally only won cause of cheese.

Naruto has insane stamina to survive all those blows, but Sasuke doesn’t. He also probably wouldn’t get that mental amp that he got vs Yoroi. Seth & Swag (and others) downplay Naruto’s feats because he gets “mental amps” but Sasuke literally only won because he got a huge situational mental amp
@@itsbeyxnd They definitely pick and choose, I love them but like, they’ll go through extra effort to show why certain characters are stronger than others to a godly level of precision while doing the K-duo(Kankuro and Kiba lol) dirty with no explanation.
Prime example, explaining for 10+ minutes why Sasori is stronger than Deidara even though there’s no direct proof besides Deidara saying it to get Kakashi off his back and separate him from Naruto, which obviously can’t be taken literally, also completely ignoring Deidara contended with a Sasuke that showed feats more impressive than Sakura and Chiyo at the time. AND the “he was never trying” when he actually was up until the parent puppets came out. Homie tried to flat out kill Chiyo while she was down and Sakura took the stab on her behalf lol.

It’s also worth noting that Kiba was probably gonna claw Naruto down to the point of blood loss lol(he wouldn’t actually do that but he’d batter him down). Naruto only won out of sheer luck

He has no beast to revive him and stuff, there’s the sharingan but that’s purely genetic and can’t cheat death like Kurama can. Put Sasuke in that Neji fight and I’d argue he actually would have flat out died despite being a more impressive combatant than Naruto on paper

I have a question. Since Shino's bugs are pretty effective against Kankuro, how effective would his bugs be against Sasori? Mainly because Sasori is a puppet himself.
They’d do very well. Kinda like a matter of grass type Pokémon vs fire type Pokémon.
Only problem is Shippuden Shino can’t be scaled at all in any regard, he had 1 impressive showing catching Obito with his bugs(Obito escaped, duh), and that’s literally all.
Logically a late-game Shino would be able to beat Sasori though.
Although Sasori is indeed a puppet I think he just has too much firepower for Shino to deal with

@@rhysjonsmusic I Lowkey don’t think there’s any way to prove or disapprove of it. It also worth noting that iron sand is a thing though, so Shino would have to sneak his bugs to Sasori before Sasori immediately goes into the 3 Kazekage phase, which depends entirely on how serious Sasori takes Shino.
If Sasori is aware of the Aburame clan and his natural bad matchup to them, he’d be more cautious than usual and keep his puppets close for ranged attacks as opposed to sending them out like he did with Sakura and Chiyo.
Against kidomaru, you repeatedly said that Shino didn't have perception techniques but Shino can theoretically detect ninja with his bug swarms. That's why he's placed on Team 8 in the first place, as he can also be an information specialist.
Against Kidomaru, Shino's info gathering is actually better than Neji because his bugs can cover a wider range (Kidomaru stayed outside of Neji's range) even if they give a much lower precision of information.
Then Shino can get closer, reducing the projectile advantage Kidomaru has. Also, Shino can use bug clones to evade projectiles while Neji can't use clones.
I still think Shino loses in the end but it's closer than you make it look.
True. I woupd make the argument that if he wasthere, he would've likely caught and killed Kidomaru by the time Neji's fight with him started.
Great video; Shino could make a bug clone to trick Sakon and instantly suck him dry but that’s the condition I see him doing well, however it is consistent with his fights. This was a really cool topic thanks for the upload!

I’m glad someone is giving kidomaru the respect he deserves as despite bs inconsistent character quotes people use to power scale naruto he has just ridiculous jutsu abilities. But while I do agree shino’s bugs would prove ineffective against his gold armor I’d give shino more credit than that. He’s shown to be not afraid to get into hand to hand combat and using bug clones and swarming bugs to distract him can probably close the gap and get a sneak attack on him while he’s shedding the armor
IDK kidomaru's analytical and defensive ability is terrifying. He dissected the byakugan and perfectly identified it's weaknesses. There's no reason to assume he couldn't do the same to Shino. That being said, Shino actually has ranged options unlike Neji. So, if Kidomaru gets pheromones on him he won't be able to set up his techs like he did against Neji.
I actually look at it exactly the opposite other then the armor I feel that shino is out lassed hear. About the armor as far as I know we know very little about how shino's bugs eat Chakra. Bugs get on you bugs eat your Chakra not have to chew through your armor just eat your Chakra if one of the data books gives more insight into this please let me know never read any of them. But from the little the Manga or anime tells us the gold armor would not protect against the bugs at all. Not saying it is clearly stated either way but all we are really told us bug gets on you bug eats your Chakra. If it is flat out this simple there is no defense against it if you get swarmed it's game over. If it is more complex we were never informed enough about the ability to even speculate what might make an effective defense. Again if a source other then Manga or anime has more information would love to hear about it.
@@xerty5502 The armor is actually stated to be a chakra repellent barrier also so the bugs would not be able to absorb chakra through it. Kidomaru used it against neji's 64 palms which not only protected him physically but also prevented his chakra points being shut down which mundane armor cannot do the gentle fist would work as it extends a chakra needle a few inches extending from the fingers
@@olorin6494 yes I am aware of what is stated about the armor and that it worked aga8nst the general fist but we have no real information on how the bugs "eat chakra" other then bugs on you they eat your Chakra. And like I said if it is that simple no armor Chakra resistant or not matters at all. Personally I belive it has to be more complex then that but we have 0 basis to decide if it would work or not. Nothing is even implied about them having to eat through armor or cloths to eat someone's Chakra. The point I am making is we can't even make and educated guess about what could defend against the bugs ability other then if the bugs are dead they can't eat Chakra. Since kidimaru's ability would not kill all the bugs we have no real basis for any conclusion at all. So 1 you take bugs on you theyveat your Chakra literly in witch case his armor does not work, or you decide they we have no clue how shines bugs do what they do so we have no clue what would work and not work. Nether of these options is a kidomaru's armor definitely prote to against the bugs. So we can't assume that it is so we have to say it might it might not we can't even give it odds we just have no clue

Exactly. Kidomaru won't put up his armor that prevents him from attacking if there is seemingly no need. Shino, next to shikamaru was the best tactician of the genin.
I was thinking the same thing lol, at the beginning he brings up the fact that the bugs are stealthy as seen with zaku so i feel like that would work on kidomaru as well
The problem is that he can't drag out the fight, Kidomaru attacks are too much strong for Shino to handle.
Shino has bugs that eat at a molecular level nano size bugs they don't speak on it until the war arc so shinl definitely would beat the sound4

@@KnuttyEntertainment I want to give a deep Sci-fi take on the Naruto world. Always wanted too and the perfect Protag came out a couple of year ago. So it's a long the lines of "What if Senku was in Naruto". Not many good ideas on how he gets there, only one way seems solid but yea.
The best case scenario for Shino is that his bugs would accelerate Kimimaro’s illness. Even then I don’t think he lasts anywhere near long enough to win that fight

I still think he could. Yeah he could get the bugs off of him but how would he get them out of him. Shinos bugs eat chakra if the get inside of him they can just keep eating his chakra until he has nothing left. They could eat the chakra in the webbing making it either go away or become just normal spider webbing. Plus Shino has a bug that he gets inside of you and if you don't feed it the right amount of chakra it blows you up.
I need a video explaining why Kidomaru is the most intelligent & versatile fighter in the Sound 4. I truly believe he could pull out a win against any other member of the Sound 4.
He could defeat Sakon/Ukon with a web net & sickles before they're able to go into curse mark. If not, he could pin cushion them by redirecting arrows capable of blitzing part 1 Neji & piercing through trees without sign of stopping. He could also tank any attack lower than CM2, divided Sakon/Ukon with his armor & pretty much spam the armor through a prolonged fight any time it cracks.
He could deconstruct Tayuya's jutsu to escape her Genjutsu like Shikamaru did or like Kurenai did to escape her own Genjutsu, he could avoid her summons & find a way to take away her flute from a distance and leave her practically defenseless.
Jirobo counters his webs with his absorption which ironically puts him higher than Sakon/Ukon, but he still gets evaded & pin cushioned.

The only thing I could possibly add is that Shino may be able to sneak his bugs on to Kidimaru without them being detected. This gives Shino a fighting chance, though this fight is not in his favor.

the thing about sasuke retrieval arc, the whole squad showed something new they haven't used before that made a difference in the match. for example; kiba twin headed wolf fang over fang or shikamaru , strangled possession. who knows, shino could've broke out something that could've got him the win against the people you say he loses to
That's an excellent point. I mean, the reason Shino couldn't go on the retrieval mission was due to him being away on a mission with his father, a clan head and a jounin. I'm sure if he can keep up with Shibi Aburame that he'd have some new jutsu in his arsenal.

I think you did a great job with the video, but at the same time I feel like in some of those fights if Shino knows that he can't beat the person up physically then his goal would then be to get his bugs inside of that person and then stall until his bugs eat all their chakra. Yeah it'll be difficult but I think it's possible especially since other ninja came to help after a bit
If Shino uses his insects to fly on an insect cloud he can easily clap Sakon. He just needs to maintain a great distance from the ground and start attacking the twins from above. There's absolutely nothing they can do agains a flying opponent, and they'll eventually get swarmed and devoured by Shino's insects eventually. Their regenerative factor won't matter when there's billions of insects eating directly from their flesh and chakra

Awesome mention on the bugs anatomy and theoried ability to resist genjutsu. When you mentioned that I actually thought of Pokemon of all things from back in the day. Psychic types are weak against bug types. I'm not the scientific type but you might be on to something.
Sakon merging with Shino is an instant los scenario for Sakon. It's stated that an Aburame has to know how to perfectly feed chakra to the bugs in his body. Meaning that foreign cells which will not do that will be instantly perceived as invasive and destroyed/devoured by thr bugs. Sakon would literally just turn himself into an all you can eat buffet. Now imagine if he foolishly tried to merge with a bug clone 😂
Also matchups matter and Shino is literally the worst matchup for Kimimaro. Considering his sickness, Shino's bugs eating his chakra would just help him to an even earlier grave.
Shino is so strong, Long ranged, doesn't have to get physical yet very high ap among his peers

Honestly, I think Shino could beat all of the Sound 4.
For Kidomaru, his bugs are going to be able to reach him, likely through the same method used against Kankuro, and once he gets covered, he can't really get them off. He can use the gold skin, but that's gonna fall and then the bugs are still gonna be swarming his feet, unless he's dropping it and dodging away faster than they can crawl back up. The bugs would also drain his chakra every time they had an interaction, which would leave Kidomaru on the defensive, and Shino wins that battle of attrition.
For Sakon and Ukon, we saw how Kiba could land hits, due to them not being super serious against him, but they'd likely treat Shino the same way. That would give him the wiggle room he needs to get his bugs on them, which would start consuming their chakra, and once they split, the bugs would still be covering both of them. Shino would be able to drain them dry if he gets his bugs on them. Their weird body inhabitation jutsu also would probably fail on Shino, because of the bugs living inside him. They infiltrate his body, his bugs eat their chakra, they leave so they don't get consumed entirely.
Exactly! I really don't think any of the Sound Four would be impossible for Shino to beat. Kidomaru and Sakon would be his toughest fights, for sure, but his abilities still see him clearing all sound for imo.

There is a reason why Shino was not in the Sasuke retrieval arc. Shino was too good in part 1. Sakon can't beat Shino. He has not major damaging move and is mainly a taijitsu fighter. He would get drained from all his Chakra
Why do shino fans act like his bugs are God sleep and can eat Chakra at the rate kisames sword can 😭😭. Shino himself is pathetic and has no feats. Kankuro was a tailor made opponent for shino. Other characters are way faster and have more Chakra. Let alone characters who have power ups like curse mark 1 and 2 😂. Look what kimmaro did with gaaras sand. Shinos bugs aren't as fast and aren't as durable. Shino would be bodied by the sound 5. Shino is his weakness. It's why shino sucks in shippuden. Kishimoto couldn't justify making his bugs lightning speed. Apart from jirobo the sound ninja scale way faster than anything shino fought. Even in base. Once they go C1 they eclips any speed feat we seen his bugs Do. Once that happens shino is defenseless. But even with jirobo he could be way faster than shinos bugs. Zaku was standing still, sasuke was standing still. Kakuro attacks with his puppets. None of his bug placements involved speed. Only thing that you can give shino is the fact that the fight happens in the woods so his bugs can crawl around easier without being seen. But they have NO feats of stopping anyone with the power of the sound 4 and shino with his bugs is arguably the weakest of the 12. And even with his bugs he's arguably one of the weaker ones. His bugs lack feats. They have never shown being able to eat massive amounts of Chakra. Curse mark is full of chakra
@kyartick clearly you have zero understanding how his jutsu works. The bugs don't have to be fast. They are virtually undetected by ninjas that can't track. Plus, most of the sound 4 play into Shino's game plan. Dodge major attacks buy time for the bugs to consume Chakra. None of the sound ninja have anything to counter act the bugs except kidomaru (maybe).

The metal gold skin does not regenerate as fast as you were suggesting. If Neji is striking his chakra points, why would he ever strike the same spot twice? Each strike breaks the armor and it regenerates because there isn’t a second strike to follow in the same spot.

I love the this video! I always loved Shino for some reason even though he isn’t used much in the anime but the few times we do see him he’s really cool and I also think people don’t realise how strong shino is. Weirdly enough I really like some of the characters that never got screen time in naruto. I like shino, tenten, ino, kiba and shizune a lot and wish they where in more of the show but sadly there not.

Ninjas having a symbiotic relationship with insects was such a cool archetype of abilities! I'm so bummed out Kishimoto forgot about this in part 2 in favor of a dozen flavours of ocular dojutsus...

Shino, by far the most underused character in the series.
I think Kishimoto was incredibly creative early on but I completely understand why Shino fell out of favor in the later series...his ability set just seems super complicated to naturally power scale along with the other characters...what exactly is he going to do next, summon even more bugs, larger bugs, more bug clones? it's hard to see what his levelup between archs could be

You should do a video, of what would have happened if he came along as well? Like, would he have stayed and helped Choji? And then after they won there would they move up to help Neji? Would they all be in good enough health to go on and continue to help Shikamaru? Would he have been left with Kiba for a 2 on 2?
As far as him reaching Kidomaru in vulnerable points, I would be similar to how the beetles went up the threads for Konkuro. There's nothing stopping the beetles from finding hit points beneath the armor. The secretion requires chakra to happen.

Talking about how Shino's bugs could be immune to sound based genjutsu gives me this image in my head of Shino's arm melting like Shikamaru's did, but with a beetle walking across the space where his flesh used to be, and that's how Shino realizes that it's not real.
I agree with all your assessments buuut you forget that Chakra when drained enough drastically weakens the owner of the lost Chakra. Jirobo is not the weakest in some aspects, I pretty sure he is the physically strongest, don't think the other can lift maybe even together as much as him, I think he is the weakest as he would not be able to beat any of them in a fight.

Whats the most interesting and most terrifing feat of shino in my opinion is the quickness of the bugs. Remember against zaku he spwaned an army of ants behind him, wihtout anybody noticing it. In the room were high class jonins, kakashi, orochimaru and so on, and nobody saw it until they were there. Its like they crawled out of the ground in an instant. Remember that all the fights against the sound 4 were in the forest, where there are unlimited species of insects (as we know shino can summon them through chakra strings from the ground). Without fire, water, wind or lighting style, what are they going to do against that? The hardest fight is definetly kidomaru, but instead of kido overwhelming shino with spiders, i think the oposite would be the case. Shino is so underrated and for me definetly top 3 amongst the genin 12 (wiht neji and sasuke)
I think Kimi wrecks Shino, but disagree on the bugs. Yeah Kimi got through Gaara sand, but Gaara sand wasn't attacking his chakra.

Absolutely loved this video! Shino is so downplayed, his intelligence is 2nd best in part one out of the genin (maybe tied with Temari who is smart). His beetles low dif so many types of opponents that he skyrockets in my tiers usually.
I’d love to see more in depth videos where you rank sections of characters like part one Konoha 12 and detail how each would do vs each other to find how they actually shake out in a ranking. I.e choji beats hinata 1 on 1 because his Boulder runs through her level of gentle fist and she doesn’t have rotation. But he struggles with naruto who could wear him down with clones possibly. But hinata may be able to tap a base naruto with ease using gentle fist.

I honestly think the fight between Kidomaru and Shino would be closer than you think. The bugs constantly chasing Kidomaru and Shino wouldn't be standing out in the open like Neji. Also, dropping the golden armor would be an opening for the bugs to get him not for him to get away. Since a full body armor would lock him in place, also would eating the chakra from the armor make it brittle? Also can he cover his eyes and nose with the armor? Cause that would be a gruesome death having the bugs eat his eyes.

With shino and kidomaru, I believe that shino is smart enough, that when he saw kidomaru disperse his bugs by breaking of his hard skin, shino would try to put the bugs on him again, but this time, have some bugs waiting on the side, so that when kidomaru breaks his skin again to get rid of the bugs, the bugs waiting on the edge of the skin immediately go in......too many people underestimate shino's battle intelligence

The important thing to note here is that this scenario played out as a team v team mission, and if Shino can turn Jirobo and Tayuya into lifeless husks on his own, it means that well and truly if he had been there, Sasuke would have gotten his ass dragged back to Konoha, possibly even before Kimmimaru arrived at the fight.

Shino should have joined the Anbu cuz he is the perfect definition of an anbu black op. Not only would this expand on Shino as a character but also help develop the Anbu as they were severely underutilised in the series.
If sakon and his brother separate shini could actual put bugs into onto them and try to get them to merge and have the bugs in the inside
vs Kidomaru, I think Shino got the advantage cause his bugs should be able to basically nullify any webbing Kidomaru does.
Kidomaru also cannot expel bugs from inside his body and there you have the win conditions.
And Kidomarus fighting style is a ranged, mind-game~y style. The fight would be very similar to the matchup vs Kankuro. And due to the webs, the bugs will probably be able to locate Kidomaru after he fires an arrow.
If, between his tracking ability, clones and mindgames, Shino manages to drag the fight out, he wins.
Bugs should be less affected by Genjutsu. Genjutsu are created to work vs humans. It should be possible to affect bugs with genjutsu, if you alter the genjutsu for that..I dont know if Tayuya would have the skill to do that. Insects work very much differently from mammals. Actually quite interesting - at this point,. we dont really "understand" bug intelligence and find time and time again that their intelligence is actually quite high, but very different.
Sakon and Ukon actually have a convincing counter to bugs inside their body and that makes it difficult. The duo of em are pretty damn powerful actually. The scary thing about Shino is how he basically has a sort of "one-shot" via his bugs very early into the story. Honestly, if Shino were actually part of the group fighting the sound 4, Sakon would most likely be his enemy, because he is the only one beside Kimimaro that actually has a counter vs Shinos bugs. Cause, on the other hand, Shino could maybe counter their parasitic technique, due to the bugs. It would actually make for a very entertaining fight if it had actually happened.
Shino vs Kimimaro is interesting. Give Shino the advantage of either Rock Lee or Gaara for good measure, its a 2v1 fight. Kimimaro is another one that can counter bugs inside of his body via his bone plate. Shino+Lee would be really interesting. I personally believe Shino to be rather similar in power to Gaara - not as powerful as Gaara, but almost.
Shino vs Kidomaru would've been so cool. Then you have Neji and Kiba vs Sakon and Ukon and then the survivors could have rushed to help Shikimaru without the Sand being necessary to defeat Tayuya and then we could see Kimimaro beating the shit out of not only Lee and Gaara but also Temari and Kankuro
Idk about sakkon and ukkon I think he could win that even if it would not be as easy as the other 2 he beats, I can see the bugs countering sakkon's infiltration jutsu as they are bread to only interact safely with aburame chackra. Although I agree those two are physicaly a lot superior I think shino by going long range and absorbing chackra he can win.

I think you're off on Sakon/Ukon. Raw stats, sure, they win. But, Shino can hold his own in taijutsue much like Kiba. Also, Shino has shown to fight up close and at a distance. For this fight, I think he wins by playing the distance game. Your assessment wrote him off at a lot of disadvantages where he has shown to shine.
As for Tayuya, she has nothing on him and thus should be the easiest.
A cool video to see is what would the mission look like with him on the team. We all know it's a win. But how good of one? Who would be fighting Kimimaru in that alternative and would they have won?
I think Sakon and Ukon are a little overestimated here. They can regenerate damage and stuff, yes, but it's not like some magical transformation. When thing 1 got stabbed by Kiba because he was inhabiting Kiba's body, he regenerated by merging into thing 2 and letting thing 2 take over. That's because thing 1 was way too damaged to be in the lead. It isn't some miraculous instantaneous regeneration, nor do they somehow get all of their chakra back when they merge. Shino could absolutely drain their chakra and keep doing that in a battle of attrition. Furthermore, if he makes bug clones, then they would have to try and guess which one is Shino, and if they guess wrong then they just merge with a mass of bugs, which I think neither one of them wants to even consider.

Sakon and ukon can not creat aditional limbs from their body when they separated so if shino catches them with the bugs but they will separate it will not change that much cuz for shino to catch someone like sakon but without the limbs appearing from his body should be even easier then doing it to jirobo

I’m pretty sure shisui is way faster than most of the sound 4 and was caught by buggs. Shino is also told to us later that he has an affinity for almost every bug in there arsenal just he don’t like to use them all because some ate more violent than he likes. That being said I don’t think you can immediately downplay shino because of a disadvantage fight with neji… remember gentle fist almost completely requires you to be within Melee range to be at its most effective. Unless it’s a conduit to send chakra thru like the web threads. If shisui couldn’t pick up on buggs with sharingan I can’t say this guy would be able to and his defense tho good against physical attacks we don’t know if he would notice the bugs in time to put up his armor. Matter of fact the whole thing of spider dude staying a distance might actually work out on shino favor it was only after learning that neji prefers close range that he decided to shoot arrows… no telling if he would do the same to a character that doesn’t need to be close range and in most cases doesn’t want to be close range

I think shino's bug body would really well counter sakon and ukon's body invasion... but that takes one win con from sakon and ukon while they still have several others, so it doesn't amount to much. Best case they try to invade him, get hurt because they didnt see it coming, then get mad and bumrush him and kick his ass. Best case shino hurts them when they underestimate him, but its definitely not enough for a win

Vs Kidomaru I agree and most likely Kidomaru's spiders would just eat Shino's bugs. Shino is a walking buffet to those spiders and Kidomaru would probably point this out. He would do worse than Neji against Kidomaru.
Vs Sakon and his brother They are stronger and faster than Shino, and Shino isn't impressive at CQC and doesn't really have speed feats however he can catch them off guard with his bugs through clones or wear the bugs as armor. CQC is still a bad idea against Shino and taking over his body a worse its like fighting a target that doesn't move. He also scales to Kankuro yes Kankuro got stronger so did everyone else on that mission.
Vs Tayuya Shino gets put in genjutsu and his bugs attack Tayuya off guard on their own.

If it were simply made of chakra, Neji’s Gentle Fist would’ve worked on it. He was tearing apart the webs that were chakra-infused constructs that steel kunais couldn’t cut through.
Shino’s bugs wouldn’t be able to eat through the gold silk. They are way too tough and not of the same principle as the webs. Same with Kimimaro’s bones.
Mercury is metal and it isn't solid. Indoor gun ranges need VERY good ventilation because the lead bullets, under extreme heat and pressure partially liquify and vaporize. Again, not solid.
ANYWAY, the fact that he can bring it up and down freely suggests that this is made of small particulates, possibly metal particulates such as gaara's sand, or liquid metal. Either can compress density we know Gaara puts his chakra into sand to manipulate it. No reason his metal wouldn't be filled with chakra as well.

The surface level issue with the Kidomaru match up is that we have no reason to believe that his chakra-enhanced webs wouldn't ensnare the bugs like... like regular spider webs. I don't think Shino has a viable wincon in this match-up.
Except that the webs are sticky because of their chakra, the thing that the kikaichu eat? Furthermore, webs of that size can't catch beetles as small as kikai, as web filament is not enough to catch something, as a fine net structure is needed to tangle prey. I see the kikai chewing right through the webs, or walking right in them and following along to find kidomaru
Not to mention shino's bugs are undetectable by a none sensory type ninja. They literally go inside the arms of a ninja without him noticing in a open battle field. So to pretend that Kido will see the bugs and use the sweat to remove the bugs is unbelievable.
shino bugs are known to go inside people and you dont feel them when they get on you so kido armor would be irrelevant
I feel like he could beat the 2 stated even in a gauntlet. I feel like the other 2 are he could at least hold them off until help arrives but not in a gauntlet he could maybe get 1 at that point. Because if he finds Spidey his bugs are basically imperceptible so they'd slowly drain his Chakra until he couldn't fight & somebody would show up & kill or arrest him but Shino couldn't fight anymore at that point. So MAYBE a gauntlet if it's those 3 but the Twins is crazy they'd have to get so cocky they fuse with Shino for no reason & then the bugs manage to drain all their Chakra before they can reform. If he can somehow pull ALL of that off then there's a potential for a gauntlet however I don't think Shino has enough staying power he seems more like a glass canon. I do feel like he has a chance individually especially if help comes he'll be fine I'm less sure of all of them though...
