I was thinking about doing this same thing! Glad someone else has already tried it.

Hi have you tried this method ?, If so how are the NVH levels at idle conditions ?

@@ananyachoudhary6806 So I did this silicone mod to a type r motor mount and couldn’t tell a difference. I’m about to install Perrin inserts on my old sport hatch mount and see how that compares.

Guys theres meant to be some play on these thats just better for vibration isolation ur just ruining the mount ... also polyurethane mounts are harsh and send a lot of vibration to chassis ... look it up on CZcams and u'll see theres people who've proven it

Just run solid engine mounts. A little engine vibration doesn't bother me at all. On a street/strip car. Who cares

A section that thick will take MONTHS to dry.

Justyn Reese I used rtv, I should have uses a polyurethane. But I dropped the engine in and it was a lot better than the shaggy ones.

Poly is harsh on your NON performance motor but I have an issue with my car because they don't make my mounts anymore so I'm trying to find an alternative besides a hockey puck
