Looks good 👍 My first 3d printer was a CR-10s, I had to do a lot of mods to it to get it to go to higher temps. People who are just getting into 3d printing today are lucky!
"Accept whatever it says" 😂👍
Thanks for the in depth review. Just sold my Ender 3 Pro and upgrading to the a CR-10 SE.
This is the best CR10 review I have seen, better than the sponsored American reviews.
Thank you for again an excellent review! I love the addition of the accuracy test and look forward to seeing how other printers do in this respect. Also a big compliment that you obviously listen to your viewers and added this test when it was mentioned as another wish!.
Nice to hear you will be doing a review of the ender 3 V3 KE in december and looking forward to hearing about the comparison with this CR10 SE.
Regards, Ruud
Simply the best, most informative 3D printer info presentation on the Internet! Exceptional job young lady and could serve as an example to folks 4x your age. Yes, I ended up purchasing a CR-10 SE and couldn't be happier. Your info, pro's/con's was spot on, good job! FYI Microcenter $289.00. I'm buying two more for family members.
Excelent videos. I am waiting for the ender 3 v3 ke review. Hope you release it soon.
Love the new size test! pretty well thought out model!
Another great review, you are the best at this, really enjoy your reviews!! Thanks for sharing w us!
Thanks for sharing your prusa slicer profile! Going to download and try it now!
Great review yet again!!!
Ive been pondering the kobra 2 pro but as soon as this CR10 has root access, im grabbing one!
Another great review! Thank you!
Since I've gotten a K1, I can never go back to a non-enclosed printer. So many more successful bed adhesions
My favourite channel! ❤❤❤❤
That’s a good review, thanks for making this video. ❤
another great video, thanks for sharing your experience with all of us 👍😀
Nice review as always Aurora, good job. Will you ever try the kingroon KLP1? thanks
I like the upgrades on this printer; they all seem to make a lot of sense. I particularly like that they got rid of the bulky ribbon cable they used on previous printers.
The only problem is that Creality has sooo many printers that a very similar now. They are creating a bit of a nightmare for new people trying to choose a suitable printer.
Amen to that...I've been saying for months that Creality has too many models with next to no differentiation between them. Even just the Ender 3 line is a nightmare from both a potential customer's perspective and for whomever is managing their own internal logistics:
-V3 KE
-V3 SE
-V2 Neo
-Max Neo
-Neo
-S1 Plus
-S1 Pro
-S1
-V2
-original
-Pro
-Max
If I were in charge of Creality's product line, I would keep the two V3s, the Max Neo, the original Pro variant (specially catered to tinkerers and print farmers), and I'd put all the S1 Pro features onto the S1 Plus. Everything else would go, and I wouldn't stop there: the Ender 6, Ender 7, Ender 5 Pro, the Sermoon series, and most of the CR-series would also all be gone, I'd once again merge the features of the Ender 5 S1 into the Ender 5 Plus, and the Ender 2 Pro would be there for newbies and people who love small printers. Dozens of FDM models would be reduced to maybe ten or so, streamlining Creality's parts inventory and simplifying their website dramatically.
I'll take this opportunity to praise Sovol for not being afraid to retire older models - the original SV01 is no longer available for sale, same as the SV02 and SV03. Even with having two sizes for each the SV06 and SV07, their entire line of printers fits onto one reasonably-formatted web page, and that includes one listing for factory-refurbished printers (which as of right now include both the SV01 and SV03 but not the SV02 or SV07).
It might be a hard decision to obsolete a printer, but guaranteeing parts availability for some period of time after the printer is retired and/or offering owners of obsoleted printers a one-time 20% discount on any purchase of up to $500 should help smooth things over. Not to mention all the opportunities for mods, upgrades, and conversions that can keep an old open-source printer going for a long, long time.
yeah I still see people buying printers that have manual bed leveling. I'm like....yeah you can get a V3 SE, V3 KE, or this printer and all of that BS is eliminated. They should drop all the older printers.
Thanks for the review 😊
Always love the enunciation and thorough reviews. They have helped me make a couple of decisions before purchasing - thanks!
Thanks for the review. I would have loved to see more comparisons with AX1 mini.
Always a great moment when new video comes out! Even though I don't have money to get a new printer hahahaha. This is definitely the go to channel for reviews, fair comparisons, real life tests, thanks!!! My dream is to have a review channel here in Brazil but unfortunately sponsorship is a bit hard here. Regardless, love the professionalism and fun of your channel!!
Tem CR10 SE vendendo a 2300 na amazon
@@giovannifontanetto9604 Opa valeu pela dica!!! Acho que dessas novas c Creality a mais bem falada eh a ender 3 v3 ke, o preço eh bem parecido
nice review make me want to buy one
great review as always! Do you think its worth the extra $ over the ender v3 SE . would love to hear how it compares to the Ender 3 V3 KE as well .
16:56 pressure advance would likely get the cube clearance closer
I Agree with whatever Aurora lung says.
I wonder how many different models and variations creality is currently selling. It's got to be a lot.
As always, another great video and one that I have been eagerly waiting for.
I do have one question and that is whether the stepper motors are 1.8 degree or (hopefully) the better 0.9 degree motors.
Many thanks from downunder
I can't see the step value as the firmware is not open sourced yet, but my best guest is just regular 1.8 degree one.
If that were the case, I would expect that they would publish that important detail to ensure far better print quality.
As I said above Aurora - another bloody good review
Cheers from downunder...@@AuroraTech
Many compliments for the video. I noticed that there are no profiles for this printer for the main slicers. Do you have any suggestions, information, basic profile, on how to set up PrusaSlicer? Thanks for the attention. S.B.🤔🤗
Great video as always.
I wonder how new Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro does against these other new generation machines from Anycubic and Creality. Could you please review it too?
In terms of print quality and print speed:
#1 AnyCubic Kobra 2 Pro
#2 Creality CR-10 SE
#3 Neptune 4 Pro
In terms of Network features:
#1 CR-10 SE
#2 Neptune 4 Pro
#3 Kobra 2 Pro
In terms of hardware and build quality:
#1 CR-10SE
#2 Kobra 2 Pro
#3 Neptune 4 Pro
@@AuroraTech How about the Anker m5c?
@@AuroraTech How does the Sovol SV06 stack up against these machines in a similar comparison? Thanks!
I wonder if sunlu will send you a new dryer. The kickstarter says the humidity is customizable now. 50 is too high (as you said in the review). I think it goes down to 30 now. I don't remember. Hopefully I'll get mine soon. I did the option where you get 2 of them. Probably end up with them before my prusa MMU3 -> MK4 arrives. I also ordered the MMU2 to MMU3 upgrade, but I'm not worried about that. My mk3 doesn't get much use these days.
Thank you so much for this video.. I was wondering if you have a cr-10 se profile for orca slicer?
Hello very good review as always, Will you do the KE review?
I think it will be the best option in relation to what it offers for the price.
Yes, I'm scheduled to review the KE in December as well.
@@AuroraTech Thanks for the response , i can't wait until December ,the KE will be available very soon but maybe I decide for the Kobra 2 Pro that you reviewed .
I wish this had come out last week 😒 I just picked up an Ender 3 V3 SE this week. While the print quality and speed are slightly better than the Pro I think the CR-10 would have been a better (though pricier) choice. Ah Well...next year I may do a major upgrade to a faster system. Thank you for a detailed analysis!
Great review, as always. I have a CR-10SE and like it but would like to use the Prusa Slicer. How did you create the profile? Use the S1 and update the values? Thank you for all you do. I have new filament brands to try after seeing this video. Thanks again!
I have exported the profile and you can download from here:
auroratechchannel.com/download/CR10SE.zip
@@AuroraTech thank you very much!
@@AuroraTech Thanks for the archive, it works! Now I'm wondering how did you get the ".ini" format? Before that, I tried to export the profile from CrealityPrint and it was uploaded in the ".cprofile" format, but this format cannot be uploaded to prusaslice.
Great review. Do you see any way how to silent the fan? Would be awesome to have at least the option like normal speed silent und high speed printing with noise.
Thanks for rewiew aurora, ı wonder that will you make rewiew for sidewinder x3 pro?
Picked one of these up at microcenter today for $289 new.
Nice Video!! I'm looking into getting this printer but did you have any issues with bed adhesion? Because I just got an Ender 3 1 pro but nothing would stick to the bed after 3 days so I returned it and ordered this one just wondering becuase I don't want the same problem.
Hi Aurora, thanks for the nice video as always. One question: why do you think they put both the cr touch and the strain gauge for levelling instead of just using the nozzle as a probe? do you think this is a better or worse solution comparing with the nozzle direct usage for it? Thanks, ciao
When using the nozzle for probing, the machine needs to heat up to 140-150°C to allow the filament residue to soften. Sometimes, this process can leave marks on the print bed, especially after changing the filament. The nozzle needs to cool down from temperatures exceeding 200°C to around 150°C. This issue has been observed in both BambuLab and Prusa MK4 machines. Therefore, if your workflow is to preheat the printer first, then slice the model and start the print to save some time, relying solely on nozzle probing may not work as effectively.
Additionally, using only the nozzle for probing tends to be slightly slower than using the CR-touch. For this printer, the strain gauge primarily serves the purpose of setting the Z-offset, while the bed leveling relies on the CR-touch.
Somewhat important question: I'm interested in this 3D printer and have been watching a lot of reviews of it. the majority of them have issues with ringing or ghosting to a major degree, but I see very little of that in your prints. Are you able to explain what you are doing differently to get better quality than others?
Aurora what are you doing to me? I had permission to get the A1 even with the 4 roll feeder, but now you show this Creality 10S SE. I have a highly upgraded 10S Pro even with Direct Drive, BL Touch, Klipper on Pi and Linear rails for Y axis. It is a tank printer, reliable and accurate. But I wanted a smaller machine for smaller detail parts for my train models. Yes the A1 is smaller but How does the SE compare? It costs more, it is bigger but does it even have direct drive, single filament yet it is Creality like my 10S Pro. Oh my head hurts, I did not order the AI Mini, What do you think???? Dennis, Great review as always you really do work them over. Thank You, D
Hello! Thank you for informative video! How do you think which printer is better - CR-10 SE or Ender 3 V3 KE?
I'm also interested in a comparison between these two printers.
Bulky corners - doesn't the printer have pressure advance enabled by default?
personally I think the Orca Slicer is the best!
Is there a profile for the cr-10 se?
Waiting for Neptune 4 review, I'm looking to buy the Neptune 4 plus wish I think it's the best package for the money
with a little rebuild on the cr i see the thermal pencil hangs it is definitely affected upgrades helped but they want manual changes from us
i got a bambulab a1 mini. can you make a video about the slicer software , about what setting to use for max speed. The boat on the sdcard is so fast but i have no clue what settings they used on it
If it has a strain gauge for Z offset why does it need a separate CR touch for bed leveling?
Really hoping we can have root access soon!
Very good review This CR-10 is a much better machine for first time buyers and those wanting to up grade. Is better then Bamboo lab I'm not sure it is for a few extra dollars one is getting a much better package.
i wounder when someone will implement a large, high flow (quiet) fan, and use lightweight ducting to get airflow to printhead. surely light ducting wouldn't add weight epically with fan removed?
weren't the previous CR-10 printers 300mmx300mm for the usable bed space?
I guess we get CR 10 KE in couple months and several months later if we are lucky, firmware updates that solve the main problems.
Will you ever review the Elegoo Neptune 4 pro?
How did you get this on Prusa slicer? I don't see it added in their 3rd party printer options
4:20 agree whatever it says 🙂
Hi do you know if it Is possible to set pressure advance on the machine or does it need to be done in the slicer ?.
Hi Aurora, I bought this printer and wondering if is there any hidden option to set Z OFFSET?
good job kid
Hey! Still waiting for the Neptune 4 review...
Ender 3 v3 ke review video
From where i am this is about 70 percent of k1 price. Worth getting?
Can you change the filament color when the print is paused
What glue did you use at 17:00 and where can i get it?
I’m curious what you do with all the printed models, your garage will be filling up unless you sell them.
printed or printer? Good question. They could be running a print farm, but having so much variation among the models might cause some friction there. They could also donate some to schools.
noice
Hi, i was just wondering if you knew in your prusa slicer profile under firmware type its set to legacy marlin and not kipper. Is that correct or soes it need altering?
Many thanks for sharing it tho
It won't make any difference because the Klipper firmware has macros to handle the Marlin commands used in the start G-code.
How can I add my CR-10 SE to the prusa?
Can someone please measure the height of the printer itself? I mean without the spool holder. I have to make a enclosure for it before I have it. Thanks a lot 🙏
so should i get ender 3 v3 or cr 10 se
What about PA-Cf or TPU or at least PLA-CF???
This machine has accelerometer on Y ?
So this is just a more expensive v3 KE right?
How does it compare to the Ender 3 v3 KE?
So basicaly stripped down k1?
nice jet engine :)
The CR-10 SE looks like Creality's version of the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro, with nicer rails but $90 more expensive. I prefer the full Klipper experience of the Neptune 4 Pro and the ability to manually level the bed which is much easier using the data from the auto bed leveling to quickly create a level bed that needs very little auto Z adjustment, although it's difficult to argue with the CR-10 SE's perfect full first layer sheet.
👍🏻👍🏻
Can you recommend this 3d printer for me or it would be better for me to choose anycubic kobra 2 pro or elegoo nepture 4 pro. My My concerns is having a good precision and good printing quality
This cr10se and kobra 2 pro are both good, the cr10se hardware is better but the kobra 2 pro prints faster. You may take a look at my recommendation list at auroratechchannel.com, I currently recommend 8 printers out of 100+ machines we tested so far.
Someone explain why they cr10se is better than the Neptune 4 pro
nice nozzel
Lol when you said "nose pliers" i was thinking your were making some gold diggers. Im used to calling them needle nose. Lol.
Great video! I bought a cr10se. I have this motherboad hot end error. Replaced cables, hotend board and even main board with no luck. I want to exchange it but teach support is not helping much. This was my first printer so i had no idea what to expect.
I recently found an affordable enclosed IDEX printer from Tenlog. It calls Tenlog M3V2 that costs only $599. I did not see anyone review this printer. Would you have a chance to review it please?
It appears to be an older-style Marlin printer with basic BMG extruders and regular hotends; I won't expect too much from it. But I will review an up-to-date IDEX printer in December, the SnakMaker J1S.
@@AuroraTechThanks. Can't wait to see that.
And Now I somehow have a CR10SE in my farm. Why? I don't know. I blame Aurora Tech Channel!
Hi Aurora, comparing CR10SE vs Ender V3 v3 KE, which one is more reasonable to buy? (CR10SE 20% expensive in my country)
CR10SE or Ender 3 V3 (not KE).
Thanks for fast reply. I will go for CR10SE@@AuroraTech
@@volkanislek Hocam cihazı aldınız mı ? Aldıysanız memnun musunuz ? Önerir misiniz ?
@@furkanc.4500 Aldım Furkan Bey, gayet memnunum.
I don't see ghosting on your prints, but others have it, can you tell me whats causing ghosting on this printer?
If the input shaper is calibrated accurately, it should avoid (or at least improve) ghosting and ringing.
@@AuroraTech tnx!
Even without personal involvement, CR-10 was a moderate-sized disaster. Now I'm wondering what kind of concept Creality actually has? Or do you have one of these????
Should call it the “CR WIFE” just agree to whatever it says 🤣
...and ...Power Loss Recover?
I wonder if you are bored reviewing another random bedslinger in the era of Bambu and Qidi. Maybe review some more 3D scanners.
Hmm, the real issue with this price is the Kobra 2 pro which is to at least as good is $299. This technically has better hardware, but it doesn’t seem to show up in print quality.
hi
The CR-10 naming is very confusing for people who've been printing for a few years!
here's my problem, this printer is not a cr10. it's a good printer, but the labeling as cr10 is misleading. a cr10 has a 300x300 bed, this printer certainly does not
Am I the only 3D printer owner who has never ever printed a benchy?
I think so
Hi there! A very Happy New Year to you! Hope you are well & safe! I got the Ender-3 S1 Pro but having problem printing and cannot keep up adjusting/levelling as I’m disabled and find hard at times. So, I’m about to write to Creality if they would consider to swap me with CR-10 SE (although I would be surprised if they do). Before I do that I’m trying to get opinions from those who knows what he/she is doing comparing myself as a newbie. Could you please be kind enough to advise me on this? I’m frustrated and tired of keeping up with the S1 Pro. I shall look forward to hearing from you soon!
Check out the video I uploaded with the problems I got printing on E-3 S1 Pro on my channel if you have the time to do so. Please look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe! I believe, Our World is a Shared Experience! And remember, *_Life_* is *_Short_* so *_Live Long_* and *_Prosper_* … 🖖
I think its time for Creality to sink the Ender series as it already has 100 models and names which make a complete mess when trying to buy something from them.
A CR10 not capable of 300x300x400 is no real CR10 imho
You're cute. 😍
