When you save for later, Amazon let’s you know when the price drops. Anytime I want something, I always save for later and wait till the price goes down.
They also let you know now for items in your saved wishlists. 👍
Honey allows you to track items as well and notify if any store has it available and what price
I love the "save to list" option. Instead of having hundreds of items in "save for later," I have separate lists for craft supplies, clothing, jewelry, etc., as well as a private list of gift ideas for each family member.

Love the Save For Later option; especially when I can't decide which option I want. Recently looked at bar stools and put everything i liked in the Save For Later. Allows me to then compare only the things I think I like side by side. Then, I still leave it there a few days and go back to decide if I really liked it. My cart has a ton of stuff in it and it really curbs the spending.

I use save for later a lot. It’s my way to decide whether I really want/need something. Has saved me a lot of money and time.
Save for later is how my husband and I drop hints for holidays. We both add stuff to it and it’s kind of our ongoing “wish lists”.
My Amazon love is notifications when price changes when saved in my cart. I also love the Lists. This is how I plan out projects and to think before I buy. I love your tips and tricks!!

I use lists in conjunction with the save for later option. If I watch a gift idea video and see something that I really want to buy for someone, I will usually add it to a list. That way when it comes time to buy birthday gifts I can check the list of ideas. It keeps me from buying a gift on impulse and then regretting it if I see or think of something better later.
These are such good tips! I'm not the most computer savvy when it comes to all of these features, but I will definitely check them out now, after your clear, useful, and user-friendly information. Im not the video creator, but omg thank you for pointing out this word difference. I literally did NOT know these were 2 separate and distinct words! I knew of one of the words, but seeing the other one I always thought it was just a typo/misspelling! I learned a new word today!

Purpose-driven wish lists is the best thing on Amazon. I find that adding things to the wishlist feeds that "gotta buy it" urge just as effectively. If there's a big sale coming, like Prime Day, I'll create a list of my "high priority" buys to check when the sale is running. In a recent change, Amazon now tags those items with "Deal" or "Prime Day" so you can scan the list and easily see what's in the sale. I've found that "save for later" doesn't always notify you for these sales like it does for regular price changes.
They also have where you can make lists and label them whatever you want. I have organized lists for everyone in the family for gifts, also for kitchen needs, decor items wanted, garden, outdoor items, bathrooms etc. it will also notify you as well when the item goes on sale in any of the lists. I love it but it can be poison if not handled properly. 😜

I use My local Grocery stores, big box store more because I can get same day. I use local department stores more because I know the fit and styles.

I use the save for later button ALL the time! Love that option. It helps me remember that I was interested in the item and then decide later if it was just an emotional response or if I really want to actually pay for it and find a place to store it. 😂 And Honey is the bomb! Love it.
Good info. Another thing about I like about the "Save" item, is you can categorize by type of product and when you go to your cart it will tell you if item has changed in price.

On Chrome browser -> Settings, -> Extensions, -> 3 line tab on top left -> Open Chrome Web Store, -> now search for "Honey" or any extensions you'd like and add it. I use "Ad Block" which is a life saver watching CZcams, etc.

I love using their photo service. I don’t like the cloud and my photos are important to me so backing them up using a photo service as well as a hard drive keeps my mind at ease! Love the Save for Later feature. Probably too much lol 😂 I have hundreds of items there. We love making lists too. And when my kids want/need/like something, they can add it to their personal list and I can see it (my kids are 18 and 21) and it makes gift giving easier. ❤
I also use the photo service and that alone is worth the cost of having Prime!

You sometimes have to be really careful about electrical items on Amazon. Last year I bought some fairy lights from them & when I switched them on all them fused. Total rubbish & waste of money. Could’ve been dangerous too.

I’m not seeing a link for the video you were supposed to post with Rachel. I agree with your tips on Amazon shopping. I spend way more than I should on Amazon. Plus! They aren’t using UPS in my area which stinks! Amazon is using the US Postal Service (snail mail) and it takes longer to receive packages. There’s no way I could get anything in 2 days.

The only downside to Amazon Subscribe and Save is missing the review period. When we couldn't get toilet paper or paper towels, I added both to my subscription items. After a while I knew we had plenty and planned to skip a delivery. Well, long story short, my husband became sick I missed the change window and wound up with two cases each. Thankfully, I had storage space, but I know my son must have thought we were becoming hoarders when he visited 😂🤣🤣
Setting a calendar reminder on your phone is the key for this! Always set a few notifications leading up to the date that your order ships so if you miss one you have a couple more reminders.

Great tips & info! I try to limit my Amazon purchases to 1x/ month and I have a maximum $$ amount. It doesn't always happen (especially this time of year!) but, generally it works. I also have the Amazon Credit card that gives 5% of your total back in Amazon credit. You can apply it to your total at purchase or to your monthly payment. I pay it off every month so I don't pay interest and I'm saving for a major purchase.

I use the “Save for Later” button excessively and it saves me SO much money.
Prime has not been worth it for me because I can get free STANDARD shipping without it. We usually don't need to get the thing tomorrow. I have been waiting to see whether i've NEEDED something in my cart with two-day shipping badly enough that I would join Prime again and it hasn't happened all year. I watched The Flea on Prime, but then there was nothing interesting left to watch. I've never tried Amazon Music, but I like CZcams music because it already knows what I like. And I have subscribe and save without Prime. So... When I really need something quickly, I'll subscribe again and then cancel again shortly afterwards. 🤷
I do not have Prime so when I've needed something ina hurry I pay for express shipping. Easier than signing up and then cancelling Prime.
I love to add things to my List on Amazon just by clinking on the heart of the option is there on the item, that way Alexa will let me know and item on your List is on Sale do I add to your cart or buy now. I always tell Alexa to add to cart so I can view later when I have free time.

I have also found that creating a Shopping list in the lists section, that I use kind of like the save for later.
I opened a brick and mortar bookstore where I try to sell the top 5000 books from the bestsellers like Penguin Random House, Harper Collins, Simon Schuster, Macmillan etc....
I didn't know there was a woman owned small business area 💕✨... Thank you so much... I guess I will try it out ... And I love the part when you can watch for a price drop... I love the SAVE FOR LATER....it has kept me from buying many things I really didn't need! I also use HONEY but one thing I don't like about it is they send me email notices about price drops on items I've never even looked at! I don't get that!!!

Great vid!! I love Prime! I use it for everything, from toilet paper to cat food to all the fun stuff, w/ many items on Subscribe & Save. I haven't much used the Best Selling & New Releases options, def gonna check those out! The only things I would add is that I purchase Prime yearly as it saves a bit of money. It used to be $119 though this year it's going up to $139; still about 3 months less than monthly. The other thing I really use are LISTS. I get anxious when I have too much in Save for Later so often when I''m just shopping (usually after watching an Amazon YT video), I immediately "Add to List" if I need to wait a bit. Lists are: Organization, Beauty, Fashion, Kids, Home Office, Kitchen, Cool Ideas, Gift Ideas, etc etc. So ya! ✌😸

If you’re a student, Amazon prime is even more worth it at $4.99. I make that back by clicking no rush shipping and using that to purchase TV shows/movies for basically free on Prime video.
Thank you for your interesting video! I didn’t realise it’s so expensive compared to here! It’s only $6.99 AUD per month here in Australia. That includes next day delivery, prime video and music but not the audible content like podcasts. Since moving to a rural town, the shipping is sometimes delayed and some shopping items aren’t available to me anymore but for most things it’s been great.

Our family had amazon prime and while we used it for the shipping, my daughter used it more for music and movies. Now the music needs it own subscription and so it will be 20 dollars a month (we live in Canada). It is not worth 20 dollars a month when we can get free shipping if spending over 35 dollars. She also had no notice of the change until she went to listen to a certain song she was met with a "sign up" for amazon music to listen to this song.

I have noticed that the price is higher on an item when you have Amazon prime than if you purchase it as a guest (not having Amazon prime). It almost seems like the sellers on prime increase the price to adjust for the free shipping. I noticed this because my fiancé doesn’t have prime and I do.

I just create multiple wishlists. I add stuff to those then sort of scan through several times per month. It'll show me price drops on the wishlists. Close to the holidays I'm looking at my multiple wishlists almost daily checking for price drops.

@carolinedelosso6429 you can slow the video down by going to settings. In the upper right hand corner its the the thing that looks like a sprocket. Click on this. Then click on Speed. Choose Speed. You need to set for each video.
I always save items for later. I look at so many things and think I want them, put them in my cart, but when I go to check out and if the balance is over $300 I move most of the items into the save for later.
Subscribe and save is great except lately probably due to supply chain some of my items are no longer available
Excellent tips. Is there a difference between 'Save for Later' and the Wish lists?? I have hundreds of items saved in my various wish lists but haven't used the 'Save for Later'. Am I missing out on something??!?
And regarding the Subscribe & Save, it always seems like I get a great deal on a product I love so I subscribe. Then when it's coming time to get it delivered again, the price has almost always gone up - to no longer a great deal. I hate that about Amazon!!
@dionline88 Amazon explains this also but Save for later are items you know you want to buy but not immediately. Wish list is just that - a Wish List for when you have the extra money.
Honey isn't just available for Chrome. I've used it on my Firefox browser for a long time. I use it also for showing the price trends for what I'm looking at.

I use Wish Lists for things I’m waiting to go on sale. I have an ebook list, new house list, and some other random ones. I’ve been able to save HUNDREDS on things I need but don’t have to purchase right away. Honey is great, but it messes up other extensions I have, which stinks.

I've learned the hard way recently to watch and view seller's profile. I only got a comment from one of them because I had contacted Amazon directly. Then they didn't do what they said they would, so I called Amazon back to cancel and complain. I had ordered something Prime, 10 days later it was "running late." They were also pushing back the delivery date. It was ridiculous. Amazon didn't like their attitude either. Then finally it was cancelled.

I add items to my cart and leave it there. Then I’ll hit and look at the used and compare. You can find for a lower price. Read the description before purchasing. I save for later and then do process of elimination. Ask yourself do you need it or want it.

Another secret which people aren't aware of is if for what's reason your package doesn't be delivered on the given day we can call costumer service and they give us $5 credit
You can also request to have your purchases bundled and be delivered together although it may mean a later date and you will get a credit too. The amount varies.

Sadly, the "2 Day Shipping" has been about 9 Days for the last 2 years and Prime Music now will Not let you listen to Any of your music but instead, will play similar music whenever you try to listen to any song on your Library. So basically, we now have to pay a separate fee for Music- I have a curated Library of about 10 yrs in the making, now No access to any of it. Just wait, soon we will have to pay for movies, too. $140 per year for crappy movies, Lists, and 9 day shipping just isn't worth it. Also, I have noticed that whenever I add an item to my cart 'save for later' or to a list, the price Automatically increases within 24 hours :(

Kallie, I have been using “Saved for Later”, in fact I currently have 222 item there. It’s kind of the same theory I use in store, if I have time, I walk around for a few minutes and often deciding against a few items. I have had prime for years and I do feel, especially living in a rural area that is minimally 45 minutes away from shopping, Amazon has been useful. I will certainly be 😅checking out a couple of the ALL drop downs that I haven’t used, I probably shouldn’t😂. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
