They just glow up a bit to show us in the audience that he's pissed underneath.

I've been reading HxH manga for over ten years and I just simply say Gon/Gone.
I've heard reactors pronounce it both ways and it really shouldn't matter. Anybody who is bothered by such a small thing like that should just be ignored
@@comeatmebro8120 I agree. If the pronunciation is clearly different then it's normal to correct them. But Gon/Gone and Goan is such small detail and a lot of people say Gon/Gone anyway.
The voice actors pronounce it both ways in the show, so it especially shouldn't matter.

Some say Gon like Gone while others say Gon like own.
They do have a word for bodyguard: "Yojimbo". Sometime they use English to sound cooler.
Japanese keep incorporating more and more English words, @Dogen has some skits making fun of that.

Super small detail but wing using them or ging using them isn't the only time nen symbols have been used. This could be one of the biggest reveals in the entire series. The origins of nen.

What a way to miss one of the most clutch moments of HxH, jajajaja, but still it was funny, later on you will realize hooooooow damn important is, and hooooow crazy is that there are many stories through a whole one that are same level entertaining and amazing.

Also, you can easily look up a dub clip on CZcams and find out how to say it. The Japanese language is a one Syllable tone language so it is understandable if they can't hear how they say it properly in sub
have you heard of accents? sometimes it's hard to pronounce some words correctly because it's just unnatural to your own language, you know how you supposed to say it but you just can't
@@martophrenia they are from Florida, and itâs the word Gon. And they were able to pronounce it once they heard their friend say it. Itâs not an accent issue.

@@martophrenia Thatâs not how linguistics works. I am a linguist. Itâs not a that the sound isnât possible for their tongue to pronounce based on an accent or language, thatâs an invalid argument since they can say it with a minor bit of help. And itâs not just words like Gon, which is a simple combination of Go and N, which are both sounds they can pronounce. Itâs words like Kaguya, where they put emphasis on the wrong syllable.
And if itâs based on their understanding of how their friend says the exact same word then thatâs illogical too because itâs the same sound being heard but with a different voice. Thus nothing has changed to the information received, only the way they decided to say it.

His teacher is a more serious and grounded person. Super well rounded and I'd say reliable. Kurapika has too much on his mind and in his heart to open up like that. It's something you see towards the end because he got more and more separated from people that can bring happiness to him.
Man, one manga panel with kurapika in the latest chapters is SO sad. It makes me cry seeing him like that and he's not being hurt or fighting or anything like that. You'd know if you saw the panel

The japanese language is monotheistic, so that's why it sounds like "gone," but in reality it is pronounced "goan"
People being dub watchers has nothing to do with it. They are saying it correctly (This is directed towards @Jason Wilbert ). Personally, it doesn't matter to me but I thinks it's important to share this information

FUN FACT that sound effect comes from a boss in the 1990 arcade game Parodius Da. The boss is a nude woman in a bedsheet who exclaims "wow!" when she is defeated, for some reason.

Yeah, the first reaction to Kurapika's chains are where can I get them. I was never too big on Kurapika's character design. It always seemed to be out of older anime. Like he'd slot in perfectly in a Yu Yu Hakusho era show but those chains really tie it together.

He fit in perfectly as HXH combines tradition, ancient clothing, elements, locations, world design and history with futuristic elements. Also, Kurapika is a homage to Shun on Saint Seiya, that's where the chains come from. And also why he seems "sort of kind of effeminate/soft or not strong but ends up being ultra strong. His whole thing is Shun.
Oh Yeah, the section of the series, I've been wanting you guys to see since you started the series. Especially since my guy Kurapika is pretty pivotal in it. I'm happy Morgan is digging his chains. I can't wait for her and the rest of the pack to see them in action.

Yâall gotta stop saying this. They arenât going to do it. Parker and Nicole have a limited schedule theyâve said it multiple times, and at their pace itâll take them 2 years which is pretty normal. Theyâre double uploading every other week as well. Other reactors have done one episode a week, and the ones that did two a week like Yaboyroshi still took a year to finish. Just enjoy the ride.

You guys donât have to listen to people trying to correct you on the name pronunciation. Itâs a fictional character itâs not that important. Everyone I know and every pronunciation Iâve heard from both the sub, dub, and Gonâs voice actress herself is Gon like cone as in ice cream cone not gone as in gone away.
