All the spiders in the phantom troupe have a number associated with them and it's tattood in the the middle of there spider. Uvo number was 11. It showed it when he was fighting the mafia and they showed his tat for the first time after being shot by the missile.
At this point I'm almost convinced they're butchering names on purpose lmao

It might have been mentioned in the comments already and I know you all are ahead, but there are 2 auctions, the underground auction held by the mafia which has been going on, and then a legit auction that Gon and Killua want to take part in for Greed Island which happens later in the week.
Isnt it the "same" auction. The auction is a couple days on repeat for 10 days
@@psalmyyvan in manga , it was told that there are different type of auction houses like a chain of them , phantom troupe stoled mafia auction stuff but greed island is sold in southern piece auction hall that a diff house than mafia ( mafia one occurred in 1-4 sept but southern piece auction happened from 6-10 sept)

another thing! xD "Going wild" isn't how they usually work. They're the PHANTOM troupe for a reason. "Go wild" was a specific rule Chrollo added for this occasion as a tribute for Uvo (who personally liked going wild during missions if given permission). I mean, chrollo literally says "Personally, I believe ghosts exist. that's why I would do as he (Uvo) would have wanted (when he was alive)." A requiem isn't just a melody for funerals, it's also a tribute for the dead.
I like Indoor Fish. It's basically a metaphor ability for how fish exist outside of water, as in they can only live inside enclosed spaces aka fish tanks. And I think the reason why the targets don't die until the fish disappear is because their body parts aren't really eaten or digested, since the fish are made of nen. so as long as the body parts that got ingested exist in the same closed room/ space as the un-ingested parts, the person's nen / consciousness is trapped too :)
The mummy guy is a different character. Phinks wore a Egypt king head dress of some sort earlier on

Uvo was the eleventh member, the eleventh moon, he told them to go wild/crazy because it’s what uvo would’ve wanted
As for the Troupe's motivation, it's the total opposite of "meaningless". The guy was spot-on when he compared them to how armies function and how a soldier's mindset works. "Ryodan" not only translates as "troupe" but also as "brigade" :)
@@IaloneAmTHEChoppedONE They literally stick to orders to the letter if Chrollo gives them in the role of "leader". The only time they discuss is if it was vague or open to interpretation, similar to how soldiers in the field would because they have to have room for in-situation adjustments, The only difference between pirates / mercenaries and soldiers is soldiers having political affiliations and responsibilities to a political body / territory. Ironically, the Phantom Troupe also had those in some measure (but discussing it would be spoiler-y).
Remember, Uvo always asked permission if he could let loose during a mission and only did it when Chrollo said "yes", even if on solo work it would be his preferred go-to method..

The complexity of phantom troupe's characterization creates moral dilemma to some viewers. Some thinks they're bad but not that bad. Some are debating over this😆

In HxH, just a little number of characters are completely good or bad, most are a mix of them, the spiders are not bad, but not good either

Only psychopaths don’t have empathy. I think it’s 100% possible and normal to care about certain people.
Even the medical label of "psychopath" isn't really adequate coz psych labels are formulated by people on the outside looking in. And caring for individual persons doesn't really require empathy since empathy is just the ability to simulate "as though" you are someone/ something else.

Phantom Troupe is known as the spider w 12 legs, all members are the limbs and Chrollo is the head, so when they said you will lose half your limbs, they r referring to the spider ( half the troupe will die ) and not Chrollo himself losing his own limbs I guess, and also said “ you will remain supreme “ which means Chrollo ain’t dying

The phantom troup only killed Mafia people, the first auction house was an "only mafia underground" auction. And Kurapika's people, but it's another story.
And the Kurapika or someone already said they sometime do philantropic actions.
They usualy won't kill inocent people just for the sake of killing them. And they wanted to free Gon and Killua.
I don't think anyone really kills anyone for the sake of killing them. A person always make sense of what they do, even if no one else would understand.

This is my favorite episode and frankly the reactions didn't satisfy me. I didn't get the reaction I expected in that lament scene. And you didn't watch the ending properly. The transition scenes of the phantom troupe with the riot soundtrack are very nice, at least if you had reacted properly to that part.
Yeah their reaction and analysis to the whole HxH has been very surface-level, I doubt you can expect much even in the chimera ant arc.
Best way to not be disappointed is to not "expect" a reaction to mirror yourself entirely. There's not a "proper" way to react. Everyone is different and unique, and everyone reacts and enjoy things differently, that's the beauty of it!
@dirzz Really disappointing. To summarize, the stars of this episode are phantom troupe but they put stupid neon on the cover photo. Anyway I think chimera ant arc won't be much different. But I hope they don't watch gon rage or netero vs meruem like this

I feel like they had a problem with there being 2 auctions. The famous world auction which takes place in a week or so and the UNDERGROUND AUCTION which only sports underworld members. Two completely different events. One is a prestige and legal event visited by tidy nice rich folks, the other a who is who of the Mafia exclusively for Capos and above.

There are a few things missing from this episode: Zeno giving out a business card to the other assassin, the capo hitting Light Nostrade's face bloody before Kurapika putting a knife to his neck, Chrollo getting some random homeless person from the park to act as the driver (so that Neon isn't actually seen in the back of the car by the one controlling)..
The remake sadly really speeds through the material compared to the original anime and in this case it's really only Light getting his face bashed in that would have cost time. They left out so many details that give it more depth where the original anime went the other way, adding details that were not in the manga and I don't understand why people prefer the remake.
The auction is an all exclusive Mafia event. They even said in the earlier episodes that they cleared blocks or something for the auctions.
You really should work on uploading 2 each time, especially since they are all pre recorded early by you guys. You will be done in 3 years this way

Most of the reactions I’ve seen so far are always filled with deep awe during this episode (this is literally the peak of anime) but you guys seem less expressive or maybe you’re not paying enough attention, and your appreciation and engagement towards this show doesn’t seem genuine.

Actually not, her fortune telling is made by weeks in a month, each part is a week, starting by the start of the month, they r in the last week, so some of the predictions actually already happened, thats why chrollo confirms that she didnt miss, the eleventh rising was uvo fighting the mafia, the chrysantemum dying was uvo dying to kurapika, half of the members dying is the next episode if i am not wrong.

All phantom troupe members have a number in their tattoo. Uvo's number was 11, so when the prediction is referencing the 11 month, it is talking about Uvo

Chrollo composing this requiem for Uvogin, was one of the top highlights of the series. Definitely made him one of my favorite characters. And I agree with Parker, this design for Chrollo is very dashing.

@Thomas Kaimann I thought the same thing, but it's really not that hard to get past it. He is only like that for the first 8ish episodes. It won anime of the year on multiple different sites. Surely, the way he acts in the first half wouldn't turn them off it especially since it is an amazing anime

Goddamn I love Chrollo so much. He really is that guy. I think Phinks is tied with Nobunaga as my second favorite Troupe members. I think this really demonstrates why they don't really care about two little kids hearing their plan or whatever. They're a wrecking crew.

It's not showing in anime right now, so I think it's not big spoiler - Phantom Troupe growing up together, they like a family. I love their backstory in the latest chapters of manga.

parker makes a good point, people in the army have empathy but have to put that aside during war. Its all subjective depending on which side of the isle you stand on.
This is one of those instances where the dub is so much better than the sub when it comes to the fortunes. The sub translations don't make much sense because they are trying to do a literal translation. Here is the dub translation:

The one most needed you're sure to find
Actually this dub translation is the one that doesn't make much sense especially the middle quatrain. The references to the numbered members that correspond to the month of may and june are lost coz the dub scriptwriters made their own flowery doublet about "harvest" and "wine" and "lovers", which are nowhere in the japanese verse. they forgot that neon's verses are literal predictions and not vague poetry :P
Also they replaced "eleventh moon" ( a literal reference to uvo's troupe number) with "mighty moon of frost" (and messed up a metaphor for winter since november is autumn xD)
Despite their loveable quirkiness. The Phantom Troupe is composed of serious killers. This was a straight up massacre.
It may irk people to hear them mispronounce the names but they deserve some slack.
Im fluent in two languages and know two others okayish and translating for people all my life has had this scenario play out thousands of times.
People really forget that its not easy to just remember how to pronounce names of every countries people.
For support to that statement im willing to bet big time that almost if not all people who have complained about their pronunciation would butcher swedish names or indian names.
