No Music and No fatal crashes.
No deaths are featured in this video but it is dedicated to all of those who have died in motorsports such as Anthoine Hubert and Jules Bianchi as well as those who have come close to death such as Grosjean in 2020. With the new safety technologies hopefully, there won’t be any further deaths in motorsports. RIP.

I'm just gonna drop some random info on the crashes in the video. Not 100% sure everything is correct so you're free to correct me.
2001: Burti had an even worse crash at the Belgium GP that year where he got knocked unconscious. He then had to sit out the rest of the season due to a concussion and facial bruising.
2002: The Barrichello + R. Schumacher Crash is the initial crash but what you can see in the video is that what followed it is pure carnage as the original accident was followed by (in the words of Martin Brundle) "everybody behind shunting in sympathy".
2003: Not perfectly shown in the video but alonso hit one of webbers tires. The images/video of alonso sitting next to the wreckage are/is startling.
2005: Schumacher actually had a nearly similar crash at the same corner a year before (both tire failures) where he suffered a concussion and 2 spinal fractures. In 2005 he luckily wasn't injured.
2007: I have no clue how he wasn't seriously injured and just sprained an ankle and had a light concussion. He also won the same GP one year later. Sadly his career was pretty much ruined due to a rally accident in 2011 where he was seriously injured, although he went back to f1 for 1 year in 2019.
2009: Massa was knocked unconscious and had multiple surgerys after the crash and went back to racing in f1 for many years but never really got back to his peak abilitys before the crash. Also his replacement Luca Badoer was incredibly bad. (Like REALLY sucked)
2010: What always baffled me is webber literally hitting the DHL sign above the track.
2011: Perez sprained his thigh and suffered a concussion. (that crash was in qualifying so he did not take part in the race) He raced in practice for the next gp but didn't feel well and was replaced for the rest of the weekend.
2012: Grosjean was banned from participating in the next GP as punishment for causing the accident.
2013: Pastor Maldonado is known as one of the most crash prone drivers in F1's history. Not many really bad shunts but the sheer amount of crashing was the problem.
2014: That year Jules Bianchi hit a crane at the Japanese grand prix was put into a coma and died in 2015. That's the most recent fatality in f1. Before that Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna died in seperate accidents at the 1994 San Marino GP.
Good that Bianchis crash wasn't included in the video.
Also don't forget about the 3 Marshall's that died at f1 events in that time span. In 2000 and 2001 2 Marshall's were killed after being hit by tires after crashes and in 2013 a Marshall was ran over by a crane transporting a f1 car after stumbling in front of it.
2016: It's really hard to see the remaining parts of alonsos car you really have to search for it. Also Rip to that poor camera.
2017: Vettel who initially caused it also spun later that lap due to loosing fluids and had to retire due to the damage he suffered in the accident.
2018: That accident happened due to a DRS Failure (Flap at the end of the car) so when he turned right into the corner the car just went left and that massive crash happened. Just because of how the aerodynamics of an f1 car work. All that happened just because a flap didn't close and stayed open.
2019: That accident was really unnecessary. Driver error on the last lap. Just take that corner a little more chill and don't risk anything on old tires and finish the race.
2020: The car mainly burst into flames cause it was split in half on impact and the fuel tank is situated in the middle of the car. Grosjean was in the fire for 27 seconds the suit is fire proof for 30 seconds (3 seconds...) . The gloves were not yet made out of the same material as the suit so he suffered 2nd degree burns to his hands. You can look for pictures of the scars on his hands.

This brought back plenty of memories - Kubica in Canada, Kovalainen in Spain and of course Grosjean in Bahrain were all ones I can remember thinking I had probably just seen someone get killed or at least seriously injured, as Martin Brundle says in one of these clips it's the ones where the car just stops from high speed in a super short distance that are the most concerning. I still can't believe Grosjean got away from his one, even without the fire that would have been a horrible crash. I didn't see Massa's incident live but that was also scary with the car still being at full throttle once it ended up in the tire wall.

Some of them looked nasty and could've been worse, but Grosjean's in 2020 hands down is the worst for me. Given how confident I am with the safety of F1 these days I would think that a big crash would probably result in injury but likely nothing more, but Grosjean's was the exception. When that fire went up it immediately made me think of crashes you'd see in the 1960's and 1970's where they almost always ended up in fatalities. Just to add to the miracle of Grosjean's survival, if his car didn't have the halo on it, then I'm betting that he would have been decapitated as the car pierced through the barrier.
