God i love these low end hardware videos, no idea why. Stuff like this and lowspec gamer is my jam. Just fun to see how far weve come and how far this stuff can be pushed.

Fortnite has a performance mode that sets things lower than the low setting. That is what other people are using.

There is also the quadro k2000. Its got 2gb gddr5 and for a simular price is more worth it since its 2gb
Its pretty much like a gtx 650 2gb
I also saw some Low Profile version of that one I almost looked into because I picked up a Dell Optiplex sff and been browsing graphics cards for it.
When you are cleaning these you can also disassemble the plastic housing. This allows access to the heatsink where there will likely be a load of dust gathered. My idle temps dropped around 6 degrees after doing this. I needed a temporary card that could run x2 1440p monitors so this did the trick.

For Fortnite the issue is that you need to switch from DX11 to Performance Alpha mode. From there I would test with variations of resolutions with meshes and distance on highest settings and textures to low or med.
nice find Matt...will look into if it works well enough in linux...thermalpaste: arctic silver mx5 has gotten good reviews and offers a couple degrees difference in temps compared to their prior pastes. It's not much, but any little bit helps when it comes to lowering temps by a practical method like paste. I haven't tried it yet but will order some next time I buy online.

Double your money and it would be a HD 7750/7770 on GCN and modern driver stack. Budget GPUs are very interesting in that there is this cliff around this era where the performance doubles and both Nvidia and AMD stopped supporting their hardware. We’ll likely see another era like this when the pre-DX12 (full support) GPUs will get unsupported and the stock equalizes.

I have that card and I was able to play Witcher 3 everything low in 900p, I had no problems.
My first ever gaming build featured one of these cards slapped into a Dell Optiplex 780 with a Core 2 Quad. Finally, I could play TF2 at over 30 fps at higher than 480p!
Hey Matt. Fortnite performance mode is awesome for low end gpu's (and integrated graphics.)
To set it to performance mode:
Go to "Rendering Mode" and set it to "performance"
This should more than double the fps.
Great video Matt! I'm curious as to how an Nvidia Quadro graphics card from 2010 would perform on this test bench.
Weird enough, old quadros tend to perform worse but it could be due to most firepros being cut down HD cards (HD 7770, 6670, etc)
check out the nvida quadro 4000 2gb one they go for less then $100 on ebay and i use on in my main rig and it performces very well

Try MSI Afterburner and Crossfire next time. I've unlocked and OC'ed the FirePro before to good benefit.

I'm thinking of purchasing this card ( used for $10) for a replacement of 2x Visiontek 5670 1GB w/ Crossfire. I see this card appears to be "Crossfire ready" ( the 2 connectors on the other side of the PCIe 16) So you could run 2x of these cards with Crossfire enabled. Thanks for letting me know there is no additional power needed for this card btw!

Hi Matt, can you review the r7 450 please?I think it’s also called the m360, which is a mobile chip on a desktop graphics board.
I was going to say forget this and buy a GTX 460 which used to go for this price but man use prices have gone way up. Painful time to be a GPU buyer no doubt.

You can overclock this card! Just look into the settings and disable the AMD restrictions, hope this helps anyone thinking of getting this card, it's a great daily runner

I love this channel. (I thought I'd say this now cuz im early for once)
50 dollars shipped currently. Building a DX9 style gaming PC. Hard to say if this will be efficient, I'm setting up dolphin on Linux for my daughter. Currently just using the stock AMD built in RS 570 or whatever it is. Good results at stock CPU and 1 gig ram, but not enough to make many games playable. I'll look for more on this card.
On board stuff is dreadful for ass creed director cut.
for rainbow did you use Vulkan it can greatly improve performance
It feels playing with a gt 1030 with intel xeon from 2011
so basically the performance is similar to the ryzen 4th gen G series. thats really neat

Also fps average does not mean smooth frame rate, that would be fps 1 and .1 percent lows. They indicate a sudden drop in performance usually during moments of action that make gameplay significantly worse
wait doesn't integrated graphics on most cpu's work about the same as this no hate just thinking
For fortnite make sure you disable multicore you’ll gain like 40 FPS
can i pair this with a ryzen 3 2200g?, honestly i just need a display adaptor and this gpu went for 10 dollars, maybe some very, very light gaming like half life2 and some older games
i plug the card in then plug a dvi to hdmi cable in the card but no signal any suggestions?
personally i think the HD 2460 is good enough. the games i run are mostly e sports titles and other low end games, so its fine. and at such a low price its definitely VERY good price to performance
The other day got an 6gb 7970 for 50 bucks, pretty good deal
It seems modern integrated graphics perform better at even lower cost(free) in most cases
I have proof that card SLI bridged with a Radeon 5800 do in fact work ,are in fact in same architectural family & doesn't really give any kind of performance boost however the card in the video Crossfire has served me well overall by itself no hard gaming tho to mention . The 5800 went right back into my old Mac Pro & works just fine no firmware tweak needed perhaps i got very lucky in that regard

1050 ti will run most games well, vanilla minecraft will run great and esports titles will run no problem as well.

I bought used AMD firepro graphics card with 512mb vram and ended GTA IV with 10-15 FPS after tweaking everything to lowest setting possible back in 2010.
u need to play with performance mode for fortnite because it boost the fps on fortnite

For Fortnite on low end hardware you should test on performance mode.

not sure but I'd guess it would as crossfire was a bigger deal back in the day than nowadays.
idk if i should even consider this gpu or not .
the main reason is that the pc we(the viewers )are using have like totally different than yours,i think it will vary drastically because we all have different pc than the one used in the vid

Kinda disappointing tbh, this is barely better than uhd 630 on the 10100 or 10400. Probably the same as the uhd 730.
V5900 is also a better choice btw
